Heya, everyone,
Hope you had a fun time with the second part of Crucible of Spiders last week! This week's upload is a small standalone NPC reaction system I made using comparative behavior states and context.
It basically uses an NPC's previous behavior state and lets you interpret a new state based on the old one. I thought the system would be nice as a small series of the 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' style NPC's you can interact with and easily slip into your own solo games.
I made the system to also slot into Crucible of Spiders, which already has the behavior tables, in which case I like to add results from the adventure context table instead of themes. I also included an actual play I'm running that shows this as an example.
Cheerio!
