One day, it was if the massive stone Cube had always been there, hanging precariously to one side as if dropped unto the countryside by some careless giant hand.
After the Cube appeared in a flash of dark light, strange rumors soon surfaced. These were wild stories about a single entrance into mysterious depths far greater than the cube’s size would suggest, and large cracks in its pockmarked surface leading to distant otherworldly places.
Enough time passed, and the Cube’s inherent strangeness grew infamous. Weird swollen plants now clung to its weathered stone surface as if feeding on some unseen energy. Some travelers even reported seeing strangely mutated cattle wandering aimlessly near the Cube...
Heya, everyone,
Unfortunately, I'm recovering from food poisoning so this resource was a little late! I hope your week has been better than mine, and you have been giving Molly Murder a whirl around her spooky village.
'It came from Outer Space!' is a randomizing location/toolkit featuring the appearance of a mysterious Planar Cube carrying the Slaugh, a monstrous planar threat. After a famous arcane scholar goes missing, you have been asked to investigate.
My inspiration for this resource was a game I was running (before the food poisoning) that combined pulpy fantasy-SciFi with planar adventures. However, you should have no trouble dropping the Planar Cube into any setting you want.
Have fun battling the Slaugh!
Cheerio,
John
