"Utha Pahaad, the ancient fortress-city, lies nestled between two great mountains overlooking the surrounding jungle. Its battered walls bear the imposing likeness of Raktapaat the Living Mountain, the avatar of war and bloodshed, and its erstwhile protector.
Each morning, the Maharaja sends out tired builders to repair the damage done to the high stone walls and bronze gates. For in the dead of every night, a colossal monstrous creature assaults the fortress-city in the darkness."
Heya, everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed Dungeon Crawling last week. This week's upload was inspired by Reclusive Knight Jim: "Living Mountain" suggestion, which stirred a really fun creative process!
The Living Mountain adventure setting was also influenced by fantasy India/bronze age stories, but it should transplant over to other settings easily enough.
It features the city of Utha Pahaad being attacked by a fearsome monstrous creature, or is it an avatar of the god of bloodshed punishing the city for its drive for spiritual enlightenment in the Gardens of Serene Bliss? I guess you can find out for yourself, enjoy!
PS. If anyone has some system suggestions for running bronze/iron age games that would be great!
Cheerio,
John
