(Bonus) Actual play of Tales of the Burrow
Added 2020-04-24 10:34:30 +0000 UTCHeya, everyone!
Recently I was asked on twitter what my own actual plays look like, and how I use and include rule system, detail, and narrative elements.
I thought it was an interesting question because it deals with the larger issue that many people have when starting out solo roleplaying: 'how do I do this?'.
While the answer to that question is really personal and can go in a thousand different directions (one of the reasons I love solo gaming!), I thought it would be nice to include an example of how I usually format my own solo games as a reference.
This actual play uses Usurper, which is a great system for solo gaming, combined with the excellent Solo Recluse engine. Finally, I use Tales of the Burrow as the setting of the game's story.
PS. You might already have seen this AP on the Mythic discord, where members often post interesting actual plays of solo games. It is very interesting to take a look at how people play!
Cheerio!
