Only elder villagers still tell the tale of Merilissa, the Pale Minstrel, to frighten their unruly grandchildren into staying away from the old castle ruins.
The overgrown remains were once the home of a young handsome viscount, known for his charm and eccentric tastes. His main passion was listening to fearful songs of unearthly malice and terror.

Heya everyone,
This week's upload was partly inspired by reading through my old Ravenloft books and the impromptu session that followed. Lair of the Pale Minstrel is a randomized adventure location using hexflowers featuring Merilissa the sly but tragic minstrel disguised as a vampire, and whose terrifying songs bring her more than she bargained for.
I think you will be able to fit it nicely into whatever setting you are running. I used the village elders sharing the tale of Merilissa to warn young children as a starting seed, but you could also use her as a more active menace to society. As is evident from her grizzly collection of bodies, she likes to lure fellow wandering bards into her clutches.
Enjoy, and stay safe!
Cheerio
