"The fast-flowing river dividing the two sides of Taggerung had long brought commerce and opportunity to the large cliffside town. Its stone arch bridge ensured the river’s bounty was distributed evenly.
On each side, one local family grew to prominence. The Graversons controlled the river barge docks in lower Taggerung, while the Hadebrands managed the farmland in upper Taggerung.
A strong mutual faith in the local church of the Mortified Saint had ensured any argument that arose was quickly resolved for the good of the community.
Unfortunately, this changed with the arrival of charismatic outsider Eigil Sternebluth and his founding of the Lodge of Luminous Knowledge..."
Heya, everyone!
As some of you may know, I'm currently playing the City of Eisenkirk using the Usurper ruleset recommended by Deathworks, combined with Mythic. I can really recommend Usurper for solo gaming! I'll post the finished Actual Play as a blog post here, or you can read through the first parts on the Mythic discord.
I really enjoyed making and playing the City of Eisenkirk, so I was inspired to create another adventure setting based on the same framework after playing a quick solo session featuring the beginnings of what would become the Taggerung Feud.
The cliffside town of Taggerung features two feuding families, the Graversons and the Hadebrands, divided by faith, tradition and a weathered old arch bridge. You can easily insert the map and location of Taggerung into any game, and it has more than enough for you to fill in yourself.
In my game, the Lodge of Luminous Knowledge turned out to be quite insidious and secretly bringing in monstrous creatures to ravage the Hadebrand farmlands. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
Cheerio,
John
