"The Tower of the Rules Lawyer leans precariously against the cliffside. The quiet ruined exterior hides a nefarious frenzy of activity as Quillbane, assisted by his clerks and notary imps, furiously writes multitudes of infernal contracts.
He began his career as an ordinary but brilliant lawyer obsessed with rules. When a warlock client requested his expertise, Quillbane was not impressed by the infernal contract weighing on his client. He was however fascinated by the intricacies of infernal dealings.
Now, both sinners, warlocks and devils stand in awe of his ability to expose loopholes and find wiggle room in their infernal contracts. It is rumored that even the lord of the Nine Hells has sent an ambassador to Quillbane..."
Heya, everyone!
This week's resource is inspired by Reclusive Knight Jim's creative input 'Diabolist'. I thought it was a great suggestion as it made me think of a past character who was not really suited for adventuring but had this obsession for rules and regulations. I've always wondered what would happen if he had fallen in with the wrong crowd, and I guess now we all know :)
This little dungeon also provided a great opportunity to test the limits of the new oracle/location/map format on a smaller scale. You should have no problem fitting it into any campaign that features warlocks, corruption or the Nine Hells. Enjoy watching that small bargain with Brolgur the Bargainer get out of hand...
Cheerio!
