What lurks beneath Fairhill

"You are startled from a restless slumber by a strange thumping sound. The rain is still pouring against the window overlooking the town square. Again, something heavy strikes the smokey glass with a wet thud.
You realize your forehead feels hot with a burning fever. Just trying to stand in order to put on your still wet clothes proves to be a long ordeal.
The darkness and rain make it difficult to see anything through the smokey glass. However, you are horrified to make out a large glistening form undulating into the town well..."

Hi guys, I made this adventure seed based on the creative input of Reclusive Knight patron Deathworks. The suggestion was 'New to town', and I don't think anyone would like to be a new arrival in cheery Fairhill :)

I used it as a kind of interlude between adventures when my character Nondo needed a place to rest up and heal. During my game, he uncovered a lovecraftian dungeon underneath the well in the town square where the three old crones were experimenting on a shambling mound creature based on filth, garbage and the hopes and dreams of the people of Fairhill.

Kind of like those garbage heap monsters in the Freggles, only more evil I suppose :P

I was thinking about working this adventure seed location into the next Adventure hex map as a location. That might be fun to see how that works out as a sort of system of content. Anyways, thanks to Deathworks for the creative input and enjoy your games this weekend!

Cheerio,

John

Thanks. That is looking good. It doesn't fit my campaign at the moment, but I am looking forward to when it does.
