"You smile as you look down at your belt. Things have been looking up recently. A pouch heavy with coins, and a beautiful new sword riding on your hip. Those dice certainly favored you last night in the Coalcracker roadside inn.

The rowdy adventurers you won the sword from claim they found it in a dungeon underneath an old tower they were hired to explore. Apparently, something down there had been kidnapping people from nearby Ashford village.

The sword certainly looks very valuable. It was prudent to leave the inn before dawn and put some safe distance between you and that boisterous party of self-proclaimed heroes.

Time to take a small break in a thicket next to the road. As you slide the sword from its ornate scabbard and let your fingers walk its smooth cold surface, it shimmers with a faint purple light..."

Its been quite a busy week for me, with the day job taking up most of my precious table time. I did manage to squeeze in a solo session or two, with this adventure seed being the result, or rather what started the story!

I guess this also illustrates one of the things I love about solo gaming. You can just sit down, play for an hour, and continue whenever you have a moment to spare.

My character ended up discovering the voice in the sword was really the lich himself, manipulating me into bringing his phylactery to the old tower dungeon. It didn't end well for my character. Poor villagers...
