The first Patron post

Hey! If you're reading this, then you've decided to be a patron...


And I CANNOT thank you enough.


I can't promise a consistent schedule for new versions of the game, but I WILL

be messing with it regularly, and I will share my plans here.


FIRST UP:

Now that the game's 'narrative'/structure has been established, and the initial cast integrated...ish, my next two goals are:

1) Two new-sized sprites for the player, which functions as the baseline for everyone else.

2) Completely re-do the combat system (skills and typings, etc.)


Regarding point 1: There are two unintegrated sprite sheets (well, mostly unintegrated, anyway) for the player.  This goal would bring it to four. I will then bring the rest of the cast up to match that number.

Furthermore, I have plans made up for additional recruitable characters. Some have been teased in the new version...

At minimum, I will be adding the characters Priya, Ming, and Charity as recruitables. If you're familiar with the source interactive, the first two names might be pretty exciting...

Priya is a class valedictorian who, in the source material, kinda falls into becoming an elitist blob partly to avenge her sister.

Ming, on the other hand, is a bus driver who misses breakfast and decides to munch on her passengers, before her story gets... weird.

Charity, of course, is already in the game, and pretty different from her source characterization.


Regarding point 2... The combat is a bit overly complex for a kink rpg. I'd like to streamline it, to make it easier for the player, but also for me as the designer.

...

Given my habits, I'll probably put off the latter and just make a bunch of assets for a while, haha.
