Playback Memory feature now working again on Cinebingers.ca

Update 28/09/2025: The Playback memory feature for the Cinebinge Player is now back online and updated to work with Streamables unannounced changes last week! On the home page of Cinebingers.ca you should once again see blue lines for videos you've watched (since this update) and where you left off. Opening those videos again will return you back to where you were (unless you clear cookeis/cache of course). Please make sure you are using the Cinebinge Player, the toggle of which is on the front page of Cinebingers.ca at the very top. If anything is not working properly, please let us know! we'll be awake for a few more hours yet!

Hi folks, before anything else just want to apologize again for the very delayed responses to all the reports of videos stuck on infinite loop on our site. However, since not everyone is on the Technical Questions community chat and theres a lot of conversations to read through, we'll give a short summary here.

What we know so far:

• Our videos are hosted on Streamable, and last night while we slept, they pushed an update on their end which caused the Play Back Memory feature of our site to become incompatible. This is the feature that allows videos to remember where you left off.

• As a result of this incompatibility, none of our videos on Cinebingers.ca would start playing

• As a temporary fix, we've disabled the Play Back Memory feature to allow videos to play again and will work on updating the feature separately, so for the time being our videos will not remember where you left off.

• This is a temporary measure and we are actively working on updating the Play Back Memory feature and will bring it back as soon as its up to code, shitty pun intended.

• There is a possibility that other updates were pushed by Streamable that we are not aware of and caused some other more niche/hidden damages that we are not aware of yet, so please do let us know if you encounter anything.

• We've also reached out to Streamable to ask for a more direct line of communication in letting us know ahead of time when they plan to make updates. Hopefully they will listen.

Again, we're sorry for any inconveniences and the delay in responses. If anyone is still experiencing loading issues on our site with videos, please let us know in the comments and if possible, please include what browser you use, if you use any extensions/plugins, what device you have, and what kind of loading issues you are getting (infinite circle, 00:00, error codes..etc.).
