I love the writing in this season, especially the dialogue. Don't get me wrong, the story's great, but the speeches in the last episodes of season one are like soliloquies in a Shakespearean tragedy, powerful, emotive, gripping, poetic. In those moments, I wanted not just to escape, but to help as many others as I could find their way to freedom. I wanted to sacrifice my life for the possibility of a better life for everyone in the future. I wanted to fight those bastards even if all I had was funereal stone. Rebellions might be built on hope, but hope is built on great speeches. (And a great manifesto.)
George and Simone, I think Kino Loy got away. I think he and a few others who couldn't make the leap maintained control of the facility, kept communications normal, and escaped on one of the ships bringing in the next shift of guards or supplies or whatever.

Can't wait for you two to watch the second season! I think it's even better than the first.
