We know that 'For a Few Dollars More' came 3rd in the last double poll, but its being uploaded a couple of days before the Wedding Singer who came second is entirely due to an editing schedule issue. FaFDM will also go out onto YT the day after its uploaded here. Apologies for any confusions.

+1 for The Monkey!

I can't wait for Willy Wonka today. Really great adaptation of the book. I especially love how unhinged the first part of the film is before they even make it to the factory. Greatly looking forward to the reaction

I just watched "The Monkey". Released earlier this year, based on a Stephen King short story. S&G would LOVE this.

I would imagine The Good the Bad & The Ugly would make an appearance before too long to wrap up the famous Eastwood/Leone spaghetti western trio. I'm glad you got a chance to see them, although for me there are only so many closeups of oiled down sweaty faces in high contrast before I move on. If that leads you to continue on test polling with Clint's back catalog, things coming up in the 1970s to watch out for include 1) The Dirty Harry series, or at least the first one, which I think was 1970. There were 3 more I think, the last in the early 1980s. A huge iconic character on the level of a Rocky or Rambo. Famous quips. Famous sneer. Famous gun etc. 2) The Outlaw Josie Wales (1976) -- DON'T MISS THIS ONE. May have been Clint's directorial debut, or at least very early for him as a director. And IMO the 2nd best western he ever did after Unforgiven. Its a western road trip movie with a great cast of fun characters. And it showed early on how well Clint understood his own myth and how to direct himself. 3) Escape From Alcatraz (1979) -- should not be overlooked in the history of prison escape movies, not least because its heavily based on a true story. Its actually how they did it.

Andor + TNG week again. I'm excited. Wedding Singer is honestly pretty good as well. I'd say a notch above the other Sandler comedies you've done.

Re-Animator (1985) [Horror/Sci-fi] is celebratin' its 40th. The indelible Jeffery Combs stars as Herbert West. 8D

I think this site continuing to run smoothly while George has been away this week confirms my suspicion that Simone is actually the tech whiz who keeps the lights on at Cinebinge.

Leone's pacing can become a challenge for younger film fans who expect more rapid action. Very quick editing appeared in the 80s with MTV. They had to show a lot in a short time. The style slipped into mainstream film. Then YouTube further encouraged quick action. By the 2000s movies went by at a very rapid pace. IMO before starting a Leone 60s western you should spend a half hour away from the Internet and TV. If you read a history book or maybe do laundry for a half hour or so and then get a snack and settle in then these movies lush visuals will become more engaging. Hope you enjoy them!
