Better Call Saul 612-613

Comments

GUYS. You missed a lot of connections and recurring characters (multiple) from breaking bad because you watched it so long ago. You can watch one of the many YouTube videos linking the two shows and maybe post the reaction? It'll be fun, I think people will enjoy it.

Neellohit Basu

It's probably been said, but the 3 episodes per is way more important in S2 of Andor, not as much in S1. S2 was released in 3 ep chunks and each 3 eps jumps a year

Tay Schumaker

Simone crying at the scared bear cub on the side of the road reminds me of that guy with the series called something like "Why is my girlfriend crying?" and the best one was "She just found out geese can be gay."

Gary Fixler

Rhea Seehorn has said in interviews that she thinks Kim will continue to visit Jimmy in prison.

Paul Walker

one of my all time favourite shows and ive absolutely loved every minute re-watching it with you two. Incredible writting, acting and directing, i adore this show and Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn were just fantastic. thank you so much for all your work with the reaction videos for this series.

Ketzalborne

What I love most about the courtroom scene is that it's one final "Fuck you" to Walt. Walt considers himself like this man whose genius has been stifled and built an empire- when it was Saul arranging everything. From the meeting with Fring, knowing Mike to clean up the place, to having Francesca call when Hank found the RV, Huell pickpocketing the ricin, and everything else. Walt would've ended up the same as Combo by Fring's men.

Jimmy

Again if you want to see why BCS never won any awards.. start Succession. Thank you so much for the journey through BB and BCS.

UNC

Saul/Jimmy has so much to sell, even non cartel that he could possibly get even less time. But it never works that way in the BB universe. He has plans within plans and pivots quick- he saw an opportunity to see Kim again and then to make sure she is free and clear as possible. He loves Kim in his own, in her way she does too- and that broke bad.

SpankTheMonk

Crying on command is very difficult, but there's a few scenes from TV/movies that I can recall to trigger at least a few tears. Jonathan Banks' delivery of "I broke my boy" from season 1 of this show is one of the more effective ones. Oddly enough, this works better than recalling sad moments from my own life, even ones that made me full-on ugly cry when they happened.

Justin Leone

Once again we say goodbye to everybody in the Breaking Bad universe. Different reasons why Better Call Saul a great show is not just the story and characters, not just the drama and comedy that makes the action more exciting, it changes how we see Breaking Bad. We see Hector Salamanca for the first time in a wheelchair and no we know how he became disable and who helped make him disable. Originally one of the creators didn't want to make a back story of who is Nacho and Lalo. He just saw it as random names of people Saul may have failed to help. But the other creator insisted to make Nacho and Lalo main characters in the show. Also when we see Saul Goodman for the first time, we know his story. We know about Kim, Chuck, and Howard. When we see Gus' Meth lab for the first time, we know who built it and Howard and Lalo are buried underneath it. Seeing Marie was a shocker for all of us. Seeing Marie after Jimmy is captured and her talking to Jimmy felt like we were back in Breaking Bad. To me it felt like we're back into the Breaking Bad show in a Better Call Saul episode. And when everyone is in the courtroom with Jimmy, Oakley, Kim, and Marie, for me, it felt like we had Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in one room and episode. I'm happy we get to see everyone one last time before the end of the series. We had a Breaking Bad movie, I wonder if they may consider a Better Call Saul movie. Maybe Kim and other Law Enforcement come to Jimmy with an offer to get him out of Prison if he can help them with maybe something from the past that is not mentioned in any of the two shows. Maybe someone and/or something Kim and Jimmy know about from just one or two times in a past case. Maybe the one time they were both a lawyer for someone. Jut ideas off the top of my head but probably best to leave it as it is. Goodbye Jimmy, goodbye Kim, goodbye Mike, goodbye to everyone, and Good Riddance Saul Goodman.

K!ll Molli

"Fuck you, I got alot of shit to cry about," is the sentiment of our time, Simone. It's where alot of us are at in this world these days. [solidarity fist-bump]

sarCC

I guess I hope they do it on here, because I will never willingly give Apple any money (nor any of my information) ever again.

sarCC

upon re-watch I realized why Kim acted after 6 years: she hears Mike is dead. There's no one left to hide from and no one left to lie for, except herself.

Flerb

As someone who lives somewhere where Bears wandering around isnt common i feel its crazy (in a nice way) we can hear 'so a bear was crossing the road' as if its a regular perfectly normal occurrence :). i had to rewind there to make sure i heard it correctly :)

Alex Hyrule

oooh i hope 'The Peaky Blinders' is an option for the Big Show.

Alex Hyrule

Even though she'll never be the person she was in, say, season 2, I would like to think, maybe in a few years time, the ponytail comes back. That's my head-canon anyway.

Helly R

I kind of feel like Jimmy growing up watching his father being taken advantage of hardened him so that he is not willing to allow himself to be vulnerable to emotions. I was once told that "life" in the sense of prison is thirty years. Not sure if that is true, but that is what I was told when I was a kid.

Vwlss Nvwls

The truly stupid part of the cab driver freaking out is that the police car was not even running. If they were truly checking him out their car would be running, and lights on. I never cried on a bus, but I had a huge breakdown in a hotel in Las Vegas. I let out about ten years of pent up emotions, because I always tried to stay happy and fun for my daughter while her mother and I were falling apart. Then it just all suddenly came out when I was all alone in that hotel room. Do not feel bad about feeling the emotions of other people/creatures, Simone. This is a good thing. I do the same thing all the time with my job at SeaWorld when I see kids sad because they cannot go on a ride, or they are just too tired, etc. And I too feel empathy for animals in distress. You just have a big heart.

Vwlss Nvwls

My password regiment is a personal form of shorthand in how I write them down to remind me, and the passwords themselves, which usually mean something to me somehow.

Vwlss Nvwls

Andor really needs to be watched in the archs. I think some of them aren't exactly 3 episodes so maybe be careful not to get spoiled but look into that.

Nick Kessler

It would've been for fan service only. Doing it would not have followed the logic or themes of the show, but when Kim visited Saul at the prison, posing as his attorney, I wish she had put her hair into a ponytail.

Simon Pegged Me

Me, too. I should be transparent here, though: Breaking Bad wasn't my thing. I got bored and stopped watching after season 2.

Simon Pegged Me

Wow the wire never won is crazy too

SpankTheMonk

👾

SpankTheMonk

I would love for them or any reactor channel do it. It is a hidden gem I believe. Jim Henson sci-fi serious show!! 🙌🫶💯

SpankTheMonk

Saul’s Day Sets 🎻That scene with Marion was terrifying and so well done between Bob and Carrol. But I think he realized he wasn’t that level of bad, he might have knocked the guy out but he couldn’t do the deed to Marion. He let her call support. And yes his ego and his desire to be caught and be relieved of his current situation is way too strong.

SpankTheMonk

I interpreted the scene with Chuck as the moment Jimmy regrets the most, the place he would return to if he had a time machine. He deeply regretted the way his relationship with his brother went. He believes he could have avoided a lot of pain for a lot of people if he accepted the olive branch his brother offered him. It is heavily implied that that scene takes place the day before the first episode of BCS. The paths we take in life huh.

goats

So much to say, just a few things I guess so this isn't stupid long. Being a lawyer in prison is very highly valued, they help you with your appeals and parole hearing etc. Lawyers get all kinds of perks in prison from other inmates, extra commissary, favors. I have to point out how much I think Vince Gilligan must have been a big Scorcese fan because of certain aspects of this entire series and one specific scene in this, Jimmy flipping out in the cell, I a giving very much "Raging Bull", which is tough but worth watching. Not so fun fact Martin Scorsese has said Robert De Niro saved his life by convincing him to direct the movie. He finally did it (Jimmy, not Scorsese), that left me on a high note, that he finally told the truth. I'm just a big believer in being honest, it's such a simpler and less anxious life to live. And they had me hating Jimmy even more than Walt at one point, because at least Walt ya know, wasn't a coward, Jimmy was damn nigh irredeemable up until I think that moment when Carol Burnett reminded him that maybe he still had a spark of a soul. But for Kim he did it. And he's serving his penance, he'll probably get out early, because he's not Saul anymore, but is still Jimmy. So idk, was justice served? Guess that wasn't the real question, I think it was more about how YOU as the audience feel about this, and I'm still conflicted lol, but that's why I love shows like this.

MacGuffinStuff

Quite a ride huh? It’s been a blast & I hope you two can do a rewatch in your free time. It gets even better on repeated viewings!

Brian Sittler

I have ridden many buses, and most of those have been sad bus rides lol, but also my share of fun ones too though so I'm good. Still a big fan of public transportation, wish it existed in Southern California (and was remotely efficient). And no on to the final episode, I'm edge of the seat butterflies, see you on the other side.

MacGuffinStuff

Excuse me, can I get change for a dollar? Quarters, mostly.

Rev

I'm currently reading Mythos by Stephen Fry, so I love your Sisyphus reference!

ComradQuestion

Luckily for all of us, Vince Gilligan and Rhea Seehorn (Kim) are coming out with a new sci-fi show on Apple, "Pluribus".

Jesse Coombs

Do you two have a preference of which show you liked more? I don’t think there is a wrong answer as both shows were both amazing. Me personally, I prefer Better Call Saul

Christopher Runyon

This has been a great series to watch. To answer some of your questions. My understanding is that in the US Federal Prison, Life without Parole=Life, you will die in prison the additional 190 years are meaningless but demonstrate the extent of crimes. I am disappointed but not surprised about Rhea Seahorn and the Emmys. I have to remind myself that The Wire never won an Emmy. I don't think Bryan Cranston has auditioned since 2008 when he won his first Lead Actor Emmy. There is a clip of Denzel Washington asking him how he auditions and he stated he has not auditioned since 1989, when he won an oscar for Glory (Please consider watching Glory). I assume if Bryan Cranston wants a TV part he gets it.

John

I see you are moving on after Better Call Saul to that Boolean Logic show "And/Or".......ba da dum dah

John Zelinka

If you want to see another side of Bob Odenkirk you could watch Mr Show with him and David Cross. Oddly enough there is one skit they do about law school, and it has Michael McKean (Jimmy’s brother Chuck).

Jonathan Eaton

Ozark, Narcos, and Narcos Mexico are all great future recommendations.

Deadly Ramon

Episode 12: I would rather be single than be in a relationship like Kim is in the future. So much inanity. I’m sure the guy she is with is very nice but he’s still talking about the potato salad the next night I think. Sweet Jebus. Episode 13 Simone, solid blue screens are common like that when you would have a stopped VCR and sometimes DVD machines I think. Perhaps that is what you remember with courtrooms? Curiously, Oakley drives a really old car, a 1983 AMC Concord Limited. You guys should watch the Time Machine movie from 1960. Not much else for me to say here. Wonderful finale and it was quite the journey. Great reactions from you both!

REDR58

Just wanted to say, thanks for all the great reactions Simone and George, you guys put so much effort into all the reactions, engaging w people on patreon, the site etc and it's great. I'm kinda sad the BB/BCS 2 episode reaction day is over now, as for more than a year now it's been something I've looked forward to every week, but all good things come to an end. Keep up the good work guys :)

Rory McDonagh

An episode title has never been so apt as for the peniultimate one of BCS. Another keyword besides waterworks would be: remorse - Kim has plenty and Jimmy none. Undeserved skipped Emmys cannot hide the fact: this cast has been doing a fantastic job to make you feel everything. So many full circle moments in the final episode as well, from a smoke break in the shadow, to Chucks relentless reminders, to justice served, what a ride this show has been.

Philipp Roensch

TWD and Breaking Bad cannot be part of the same universe. Yes, there is is a "cameo" of sorts (don't want to spoil anything), but in the TWD universe, zombie lore was never a thing in society before the events of TWD, which is why various groups have different names for the walkers. In Breaking Bad, Badger and Skinny Pete discuss zombies in various video games, meaning zombies are a part of their societal lore. Plus, the creators confirmed there was no shared universe, that "it" was just a fun little easter egg.

Ken

Actually, The Walking Dead is part of the Breaking Bad universe. There ya go, Eleven more seasons 😂

Andrew Ramos

Yes ! It's called PLURIBUS and it starts on November 7 (Apple TV). Very excited for this "sci-fi drama" ! 😎

Ludovic Ligot

Please have Ozark as an option for the big TV show :) It's soooo good

Eric Haines

Vince Gilligan's next show is staring Rhea Seehorne

Randell Paszt

Justice for Nippy!!!

Grand Moff Slackin'

at the end of ep12 Jimmy/Saul/Gene lets go of the beeper allowing Marion to press for help which I got the impression that you didn't notice. He thought he was going to kill her when he picked up the telephone wire but when it came to it he couldn't go through with it. Of course he might have realised that with his chances of arrest increasing significantly adding a murder to the charges would only make his prospects much worse

Gordo

I cannot wrap my little head around the fact that BCS didn't win one single Emmy. Not a one.

Clipped

Part of me wants Jimmy to get out after a substantial amount of time—like 20 years—and look Kim up. Even if it’s unrealistic and sentimental, Jimmy’s final destination in life being a prison seems wrong.

mojo shivers

Imagine a young girl, about 14 yrs old, finds an old VHS tape among items stored away in a box maybe in a closet. She plays the video tape. It’s the baby shower that Walt Jr was recording during the first season of BB. The young girl is Holly, who would be about 14 now. She was 18 months in “Ozymandias” and about 2-ish when the show ended back in 2013. That’s all I got lol.

Tim Martin

Incredibly series finale and end to the BB universe. I agree, no need for another spinoff. Some wanted something with younger Mike, some wanted something with younger Gus (maybe that explores the Chliean stuff), but eh. No need for a prequel. I do always enjoy the jokes about a sequel with Walt Jr getting into something one day haha.

Jay Willis

Rhea Seehorn losing out on an Emmy to Jennifer Coolidge was a kick in the teeth. At least Julia Garner was worthy competition with her win.

PDP1472

Here's one last suggestion for a few short videos, all Breaking Bad related, to check out. All are just really fun watches. To make sure nothing is spoiled, I won't post the titles here, just the links (all YouTube) and the length of each video. I hope you'll take the time to watch them and enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7U3rt_LP-c - 3:39 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpeWSY_PtOg - 6:19 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWeVx9zjN7I - 5:54 Three short videos I'm sure you'll love!

Rev

hi Cookie, could you tell me what kind of error message do you see? as well, have you cleared your cache? lastly, if you have and it still doenst work, could you tell me where you are located? as the issue might be a regional one.

George Simone

Regarding your discussion of what happens after, I choose to believe Rhea’s take on Jimmy/Kim’s future, which is that it’s definitely not the last time they'll see each other and: “Even though the finger guns are representative of the beginning of this horrible downfall scam with Hamlin, for me, in the moment — because he does it in a very different way — it felt like, "There is still something great about us. Not everything about what we were together is bad. There's something great about the two of us together." And I took her look to him to be an acknowledgement that it's true, even though she's not ready to say what that means.” You can of course have a different interpretation, and the ending was specifically designed to make you ask that question. Interestingly they filmed Kim giving the finger guns back, but they didn’t want it to seem like she was going back to scamming (she’s not), so they cut it.

Helly R

I still can't seem to access the link, even on other devices and browsers :(

Cookie

Possible small El Camino spoiler, but nothing earth shattering. When Kim is standing outside ABQ airport, you see the signs for checking in to a couple of different airlines - Alaska Airlines and Frontier airlines. . . . . . . . That has to be a nod to the opening conversation between Jesse and Mike from El Camino. Jesse asks Mike where he would go to start over. Mike says “ALASKA. It’s the last FRONTIER”.

Tim Martin

In theory you would want to watch season 1 of andor in chunks of 3 then 3 then 1 then 3 then 2 but that's weird and confusing. 3 then 3 then 2 then 2 then 2 would also work. Season 2 is all chunks of 3. But whatever works best for your schedule and prevents burnout is good for me. Very excited! Better call Saul is my 2nd favorite show of the last decade and my 1st is Andor!

Phil Jacke

A few little callbacks: The episode where Combo is shot, or maybe it’s the next one…Hank is talking to his guys about Combo and mentions the Nativity Scene theft that Jesse and Kim are discussing outside Saul’s office. Saul is extradited to ABQ on a Wayfarer Airlines flight. Same airline that crashed in BB. Saul is also STILL wearing the memorial ribbon for Wayfarer during his court appearance. I hope he had that shiny suit dry cleaned before returning it to the Salamanca cousins lol (yeah, I know they are long gone by then…please forgive my poor attempt at humor 😂)

Tim Martin

Nice catch. “All I need is one”. Kim was the “one”.

Tim Martin

S6E1 opening scene…Chuck’s “The Time Machine” book is among the items being boxed up. It’s kinda fun to go back and watch that opening to see all the items that appear in subsequent episodes of season 6. The life-size cardboard cutout of Saul gets placed in the dumpster. I always thought that was a subtle hint of things to come in the final episode. The double finger guns from Saul at the end calls back to the finger guns given by Kim when Jimmy says that she would not be ok with taking down Howard. And of course, the final pose against the wall just like the first time we see that Jimmy and “that blonde chick from the conference room sitting next to Howard” are good friends from the first episode.

Tim Martin

By far the best reactions to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul I've ever seen. Looking forward to what's next, but I'm going to miss these.

Homestar

Seconded. It’s amazing and insane and wonderful.

REDR58

I enjoy them both very much, but if I were to do a rewatch, I would watch Better Call Saul first as I like it a bit more.

REDR58

To quote the great guitarist Russell Hammond - whose looks are becoming a problem - "I see what you did there, and I like it."

Jeff K

Hang on, gotta go enter in your username and the password "randomstringsofcharacters" to see if this checks out

Jeff K

I will be angry about the zero Emmy wins for this show for the rest of my life.

TGrimace

I agree with you that there is no need for further stories in this universe, all the loose threads are resolved, however the one big exception to that is Lyle. He deserves his own show

mpd

Alright, now that I've watched through to the end of y'all's discussion and it didn't come up, very important question for George and Simone: What's the better show? Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul? (I'm in the camp that thinks BCS surpassed BB when it was all said and done.)

Jeff K

"near the end of S1 there will be another poll for a big tv show." I don't know how many votes it would get, but I swear Farscape would be right up your alley.

Tom Hess

One of my favorite things about the finale is how much Gilligan and Gould trust the audience to know what Jimmy and Kim are thinking without holding our hands. A lesser show would have had Kim ask Jimmy something like, "Why'd you do it?" and he'd say, "You know why" in that final scene together, but they trust the audience - not to mention Bob and Rhea's performances, of course - to understand without needing it spelled out. You've got to love a show that trusts its audience to be intelligent enough to understand the unspoken nuances.

Jeff K

seeing your reaction I kinda see why they did that ending that makes no sense. Cause they just did screening and asked people. But actually it would made a lot more sense end with him as lawyer again and saying something along the way: "Let the justice begin". Screen testing just ruining art. Like for example ending in the Mist movie.. you don't need to like it

Sergei Tereshkin

Passwords: use a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password, protect it with a long passphrase - easy to remember but basically impossible to brute force. All my passwords are random strings of characters.

Jordan Steele

Yep!

Vengeance

I really liked the whole "I just need to convince one" coming back around in an opposite way. He needed Kim there to convince her, the one, that he is remorseful and willing to accept his full punishment. He got the sweet deal just to prove to himself that he could, but showed Kim that he's still Jimmy deep down and not Saul anymore. It was a good closing of an arc for Jimmy, and both Jimmy and Kim. Edit: I also like the nod to showing Jimmy's real answer as to where he'd go if he could go back in time. Back to the time when Chuck was still alive and sticking around when Chuck was showing real interest in his law career, potentially mending a bridge between them.

Jomero

Did you guys remember Emilio during the Kim and Jesse scene in ep 12? Other subtle callbacks sprinkled throughout these last 2 episodes. You have to be a certified BB/BCS addict to catch some of them 🙂☹️😩😭

Tim Martin

Any idea how to get this working on iPhone? All I get is a blank page that says “Future home of something cool”

BH

To be a complete nerd: Gene's been on the run for about 8/9 months or so. The end of Ozymandias in BB when Walt/Saul disappear is March 2010, while the finale of BCS is December 2010 (the rest of BCS through Fun and Games was mostly mid-2002 - mid-2004)

Helly R

"it's unsustainable" had the same energy as "it's inconcievable" xd

Aronaax

Ernie, Huell, and Lyle all go into business together doing... I don't even know what. I don't care what. Let's make it happen, Gilligan and Gould! Also: let's bring Skinny Pete back and make him part of the group. Badger stops by occasionally for guest spots.

Jeff K

There are some characters from this universe that I think deserve a spinoff: Ernesto Huell Lyle (manager at Pollo Hermanos)

Deadly Ramon

Honestly, I just think we all need more Rhea in our lives in general.

Jeff K

I started watching the first season a few years ago (kinda lost track of it and didn't continue), but even in the first five or six episodes I watched, it is STAGGERING to realize how much of an influence it's had on shows and movies since. So many pieces of pop culture have borrowed so heavily it's wild.

Jeff K

With Better Call Saul coming to an end, the long show I'd love to see you do next is the original 1959 Twilight Zone. The Twilight Zone is still one of the best TV shows ever, and its messages still hold up today. Its stories explore themes of humanity's hopes, despairs, terrors, prides, and prejudices in deep, meaningful ways that more conventional drama just doesn't always do. Beyond its tongue-in-cheek science fiction exterior, viewers uncover a kind of wisdom: supernatural stories that reflect real human trials and experiences. It's a good companion piece long show to react to while you're also reacting to Star Trek. I think it would make for great reactions.

Jeb Manning

New major shows I would love to see you react to in no particular order. Ozark, Dark (sub), The Bear, All future Mike Flanagan series you haven't reacted to yet.

802jay

My password habits: I've got one or two that I use over and over (I know, I know, you're not supposed to) and I have my computer and phone remember them so that I don't need to think about it and just use fingerprint or facial recognition to unlock stuff. Which came in clutch today, since I couldn't tell you for the life of me what my Netflix login is so with the host server having issues, I needed it to be able to watch these last two episodes this morning.

Jeff K

Good news everyone! The site is fully back up. if you are still getting 404 or any site loading error messages, clearing cache will fix it. OR, you can wait an hour and the cache will automatically clear itself. this is due to part of the fix being a DNS reset, which requires a cache clear either manually right away or automatically after some time. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

George Simone

Check message about Andor Season 1. thank u

Shonnicus

George: LWoP is Life without Parole- so you die in prison and its truly "Life". Life WITH NO qualifiers is "Life WITH the possibility of parole" so you might serve 20 or 30 years and then be eligible for a parole hearing every 1-3 years- remember "Red" in Shawshank Redemption who kept going for a hearing every couple of years before they let him out after 30+ years

Actuarial Lurker

I think it was when she was on Kimmel when she was describing some of the technique for that scene. Her long form interviews/pods where she can just talk Kim psychology and craft for a hour are great. I feel like some actors just kind of show up and say the lines. She puts in the damn work, and it shows. Can't wait for her new show.

Helly R

Just went to the technical questions chatgroup in the community session for the first time and I'm blown away. So many fixes to your website being acknowledged and addressed promptly. Really great job guys (and to your technical team if you have one). Anyway kudos to all of your hard work. And I thought being a reactor was an easy gig but on reflection.....thumbnail editor, chat moderator, technical support, Youtube strike claim advocate, accountant, etc. And of course, having to grind out emotional stability for every performance. I'm glad you both are doing well!

Nate Gavin

site is not fully back for everyone yet. still fixing. I still cant access it on all device, as well some video links are getting incorrectly directed, part of the issue.

George Simone

Mike's first Time Machine instinct was to "save his son" by going back right before he was killed. He changes his mind and says he would NOT take his first bribe- meaning that he would be willing to DIE in place of his son Matty at the hands of his corrupt cop precinct-mates to save ALL the people caught in the crossfire- his son, his granddaughter, Werner Ziegler etc. That shows that Mike - even being fatalistic and thinking you can't leave the "Bad Choice Road" has some redemption. That is why he would need to use the Machine to check in on them in 5 or 10 years- since he knows not taking the bribes would mena his OWN death

Actuarial Lurker

Same for me. I have no show audio. Going to just try and sync Netflix on this occasion.

Graham Bullman

It seems to audio on the nosync version is muted (the show, not your audio). At least it is for me.

Haru Urara

Kim's scene on the airport shuttle is quite possibly the best and most powerful wordless acting I've ever seen and I will continue to say that it is a literal crime that Rhea Seehorn never won an Emmy for this role.

Jeff K

I've seen it said here once before but I absolutely recommend The Leftovers for the next big show. It's extremely underrated and is one of my favourite shows ever.

Viktor Anthin

For the next big show? I think you're waaaay overdue for Twin Peaks. Start with the pilot then bask in the glory of season 1, which is, imho, still the best season of TV ever produced. I can't believe something that strange and beautiful aired on network TV…in 1990. That season paved the way for every single even-slightly-offbeat show that followed. There's another show that doesn't get enough attention and is my favorite cop show ever; Southland. Go in blind, you'll be rewarded. :)

Clipped

The moment I noticed that ring I wondered why she treated him so poorly and not let him sleep in the same bed when he was alive? So *now* she misses him?

Clipped

Attention George. Andor Season 1 does not need to be watched in 3 episode periods. The first 3 episodes were released at once for Season 1 but after that they were released weekly. Source of dates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andor_(TV_series) Season 2 was intended and released as 3 episode arcs. So this is where you want to watch 3 if your schedule permits.

Shonnicus

Woohoo! Back up and running. (Knock on wood.)

Jeff K

Kudos to Gould and co. for this ending. It is as hopeful as could be given the circumstances. Jimmy did some horrible stuff, mostly in Breaking Bad, and deserves punishment. But at least he accepts he's Jimmy again, and, as always, he and Kim are the only people that really see each other. That's not something either of them had in their lives for the past six years since they broke-up. It's both deeply sad, hopeful, romantic and tragic all at once. At least for Kim there is now some hope to get part of her life back through her volunteer work and take some active steps towards something better. And of course it had to end with these two sharing a cigarette by a wall. How could it have been anything else? It's crazy to me that Gould and Gilligan landed the plane twice. It's really hard to do.

Helly R

I was happy to hear that Rhea Seehorn and Vince Gilligan are teaming up for a new sci-fi-ish Apple TV+ show called Pluribus in November. Episodes like these last two show that Rhea needed a show where she's the lead on the air.

So the only "side characters" who make it out "scathed" but alive are Jesse, Kim, Skinny Pete, Badger, and Huell (and PROBABLY Kuby- Bill Burr character)

Yay can't wait for the Andor reacts. Just keep in mind every 3 episode is an arc.

I definitely vote Succession or The Bear (I’ve said in the past, I’m dying to get George’s take on it since he’s got a history working in kitchens).

Jeff K

Please start Succession as the next big show, only 39 episodes.

UNC

current inaccessibility is due to domain host outage. the entire platform is having problems across Europe and east coast NA for any sites hosted on their platform. working with their support team now.

George Simone

they always zigzag between 2 shows. so it will be season 1 of Andor, then season 1 of whatever the next big show is, then season 2 of andor, then season 2 of big show, follow season 1 of a short show..etc. etc.

robodong

Just checking, are you doing only S1 of Andor before moving on to another big show?

Spacedone

I was. Was watching your Doctor Sleep reaction starting a little over an hour ago and the site was working fine.

SelasDray

what does your incorrect statement has to do with the landlocked nation on the Iberian Peninsula?

While we’re all waiting for no sync to work, fun fact: the hand reaching out to comfort Kim on the bus belongs to Vince Gilligan’s wife

newhastings

looking into it the 503 error. seems to come from domain host, a site wide blackout. was anyone able to use the site just before BCS was posted? before 8am EST?

Andorrrrr!* Very, very excited for that. * Yelled in the style of "Trogdor" (Worth noting that the first three episodes of Andor were released at once. It doesn't need to change your normal two episode release order, but worth noting. Season 2 was later released weekly in sets of three episodes as it has a more defined and segmented timeline)

Welp I guess I'm in for a good cry today.
