2025-08-03 20:40:15 +0000 UTCI absolutely loved this movie. A little too long but never unwatchable. The Substance felt like a Twilight Zone/Tales from the Crypt episode. If you want something else that is insane in it's sci fi and tone, I would recommend Splice. It's Canadian made independent from 2010. Absolute batshit.

(There's a Richard Feynman video on you tube where he discusses people who think differently - it's an intriguing concept). BTW - I'm with someone on verisimilitude. Richard Donner used that term to death in his Superman commentary track.
