2025-06-09 16:35:11 +0000 UTCGoldfinger has some very iconic scenes and characters (and theme song), and is probably the most commonly referenced/parodied Bond movie, but From Russia With Love is the one that I think most would concede is the "best movie" of the early Bonds, even if it's not their favorite Bond movie. The lack of bombastic excess that came to dominate the franchise in later movies allows for a plausible plotline and some real tension.

L'Inferno (1911) an adaptation Dante's Inferno and Dwain Esper's MANIAC (1934) have nudity and large amounts torture. Some of which are graphic enough that both of you would be appalled by some of the scenes.
