I got confused and thought there were 3 cuts. Theatrical, Director's Edition (on DVD) and Director's Cut (on blu-ray), like the DC was an updated version of DE or something, but I guess it was just renamed? Because nobody ever calls them "director's editions" anymore. Not even sure if that term exists anywhere other than that old DVD.

Assuming we get to Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan fairly soon after TMP, it needs to be mentioned that there is the Theatrical Version at 113 minutes and the Director’s Cut at 116 minutes. I think the general consensus is that the DC is better as it fleshes out some characters a bit more and both versions are readily available on Blu-ray and digital. The latest US Blu-ray release has both versions in the same package. After that, afaik, all the other TOS Star Trek movies only have theatrical cuts.

Glad I gave Severance a shot, never thought I'd be amped for a season 2 of a sci-fi show, so thank you for doing the show, exceeded my expectations! Another YT channel I follow, if I may, has an amazing ~40 min recap of season 1...which for me is great because I miss so much and it cleared up some stuff. Pete Peppers, dude doesn't miss anything. Found him during Better Call Saul when the final season of that aired live. If interested check it out!

Yay! Finally the Star Trek Movies begin! I would recommend watching (unless you have already recorded) Star Trek The Motion Picture 1979 The Directors Edition 4K remastered version which is 2h16m, its the best version in my opinion, the theatrical is 2h12m which is fine however the 2h16m adds some really important scenes, don't bother with the special longer version 2h24m it really drags and the director, the late great Robert Wise did not approve of this extra longer version. OMG!, Nightcrawler, Casino and Severance S2 as well! oh boy oh boy!

+1 Limitless and About Time. de Niro, not Pacino btw :) And best way to recommend stuff is either in the comments of the most recent poll or via DM. Welcome! :)

I'm new here so I'm not sure if this is how to make recommendations but here they are. Movies: 1. Adaptation (by the guy that wrote Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It stars Nicolas Cage and Meryl Streep) 2. Limitless (I think George will like this. It stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro) 3. About Time (My personal all time favorite and I think Simone will enjoy it. It stars Rachel McAdams.) As for TV shows 1. Fargo(Each season is a complete story so you could break them up overtime) 2. Dexter 3. The Sopranos

Begun, the Trek movies have! I've been enjoying your Original Series journey so far, really interested to see what you think of the movies!

Great week

Nightcrawler is excellent.

This is setting up to be a great week! As with other people, I can fully recommend "Prisoners" as a great Gyllenhaal movie. It expertly brought in tension that seemingly few other movies know how to master.

Can I make a humble request for when you do Trivia? (One of my favorite things you do BTW) A lot of the time it feels like you just start from the top and scroll through.. However, IMDB’s Trivia section has 3 separate parts, in order they are, Non-spoiler trivia, Spoilery trivia, and at the bottom, a list of cameos.. I feel like you are missing out only going through the first section.. In particular Hacksaw had some great stuff classed as spoilers..
