2025-05-27 00:28:56 +0000 UTCI agree that season 1 AND season 2 of TNG are pretty rough - like they're nearly all at the level of the worst TOS episodes. I actually usually skip them when rewatching and start from season 3. There are a few episodes from s1 and s2 that are important story wise though, which you should watch. But since it's is the first time for you George it might still be worthwhile watching all just for you to form your own opinion. If you get sick of it I know there are literal watch guides titled something like "When does Star Trek TNG start getting good" which points out important and skippable episodes until season 3 or 4.
