Hi Darren, thank you for the support! So in the description of every post you will see a "For no sync version" followed by a url. If you are on desktop computer, click on that URL and press Accept when it asks to verify your account, after that you will see the uncovered version of the reaction. If you are on phone or tablet, hold down the url until a little menu pops up and press "Open in Web browser". your default internet browser should now open and it may ask you to login to patreon first, make sure you login via the correct account/email, then accept the verification and voila! Note, some users have stated that safari and chrome could occasionally cause verification issues, the best browser so far for this has been Firefox. You can also take a look at our FAQ: https://www.patreon.com/posts/faq-uncovered-131542916 for any trouble shooting, and a big list of all the movies thats been converted so far (all tv shows are done, but theres still a couple hundred films left to be processed into these new versions). If theres any other problems the FAQ didnt answer, feel free to go to the Community tab on the left side and either directly message us or use the community chat to ask the community for help!

It's 2 seasons, 24 episodes long in total, just finished up and pretty perfect length for one of these in between shows you do while watching a longer show. Thanks for this new list. Maybe you didn't know, maybe you did, but this new format solves a very annoying problem with older movies: The ntsc/pal framerate desinc. Due to NTSC and PAL having different frame rates AND movies being dubbed, older movies are often not available in the original lenght even if you watch them in the english original. It's likely a niche problem because it onbly applies to countrys that had PAL and wth a big enough domestic market to make dubbing worth the costs. But it is realy annoying. One example is First Blood. And then theres the thing with streaming services only offering one version of a movie (theatrical cut, directors cut, extrended cut, digital remastered, whatever they are called) and your service happened to offer you another. So yes, as others said thanks for this update. And btw: George you're putting in quite some extra hours for this right now it seems? Thank you!

I'm really enjoying the uncovered versions, thanks very much. Great to be able to pause without the hassle of resyncing. Looking a gift horse in the mouth though, Patreon seems determined to show me the videos in low resolution. Has anyone found a more sophisticated approach than refreshing to reset to 1080p? I don't mind about the movies, but I insist on George being in HD.

feature products are basically ways for people to just buy access to specific collections with a one time purchase, rather than a subscription. they will be able to access everything inside that collection and thats it. new posts of any kind are not accessible for them unless its specifically added to that collection.

Hi Tony, so if you click on Cinebinge on the left side of your page and go to our main feed, at the very top you will see a tab that says "Collections". in there you will find every show grouped into its own collection containing all the versions. Beneath all the collections, you will see a large field of tags, each representing 1 film/franchise. Click on any of the tags and it will show you all posts related to that tag. Though for now movies dont have the uncovered versions yet.

I hope you will put them in a collection folder to separate them out from the rest, because Patreon makes it so difficult to find anything “at a glance.” Labeling or tagging them as a category would make them much easier to locate. Looks like there is some throttling of notifications at Patreon's end - I got emails telling me about the Breaking Bad S1 and Better Call Saul S5 (and a random S2 episode) releases, when in reality you'd added uncovered versions of the entirety of those shows, and I didn't hear anything from Patreon about Squid Game until you mentioned it in the text for this post. Whilst reluctant to add to your workload even more, might be worth tagging onto the end of the "next week on Patreon" a summary of what uncovereds got added in the previous week?

Especially for all those movies that have a ton of different versions with miniscule changes where you're getting desynced every couple minutes for no good reason other than a single shot lingered a few seconds longer. Overall I don't mind using my own version, but for some movies it's a real hassle.

Hey guys, first time commenter here, I love that we'll now be getting uncovered version of everything. If its ok I would like to make one suggestion, I believe George is the main editor of the vids (love the edits) but I would recommend looking into audio ducking, especially for the uncovered vids. Its sometimes difficult to hear you guys speak over the movie or show audio, with audio ducking it would lower the audio of whatever we are watching whenever you guys speak, just so it makes it easier to hear you. I would prefer to be able to hear your commentary over show audio.

It usually takes me about an hour to put together your patreon only version with my version and export the result, with balanced audio complete with Ducking. Premiere Pro Thing which, George if you haven't used you should. Ducking automatically lowers the audio of one track when another track comes up - so if you or Simone start talking it drops it by -4dB. I have *252* films, Fallout and Chernobyl. If you want to save yourself some time hit me up and I'll send you a sampler. ;)

Excellent- since Simone is an actress and George is a videographer- may I suggest that FUTURE reactions ADD more comments on lighting, camera angles, acting choices etc. Many movie reaction channels- NOT yours- are pretty facile with "that was cool" or just emotional reactions to the content. If you reacted to the CRAFT I think you would set yourselves worlds apart and possibly protect yourself even more since the commentary would be more critique on style and approach on top of just enjoying the movie. I follow several other movie channels where the creators were film majors or cinematographers and add that nuance

I'll also continue to rent the rare movie that I don't already have so no change to supporting the original content creator. Full-length movies and shows - count me in! I hope for the best - I really, really do, but I cant see this holding up in court. You would essentially become a new streaming service. Why would I subscribe to Netflix or Prime or even go to the theaters anymore if I could just watch full-length movies and shows on cinebbinge, mary cherry or dashaTV (mmmm….dasha) - or any of the other hundred reaction channels that would pop up. What happens if I start showing “Cinebinge Films” at work or in a bar or a gym? Oh and just wait until Magic Magy and her OnlyFans homies get wind of this - if neo-erotic cosplay interpretive dance isn’t “additional commentary” - I don’t know what is. Of course the lawyers are going to say “Sure, go ahead” - Saul Goodman style - there’s no consequences if they’re wrong - except more billable hours. And unless you have something in writing from Patreon - this would put them head-to-head with the entire Entertainment Industry - let’s see how long their loyalty will last. do you mean a collection that comprises of every "uncovered" version? if so, there now exists a tag called "uncovered version" that does exactly that. but for movies specifically, you can also check by scrolling down to the bottom of the collection page where all the tags are listed, and you can see that all movies have a number 2 next to them right now, that means theres 2 versions to each tag, a YT cut and a Patreon version. when the Uncovered version is added, it will become a 3. for tv shows, it will be a bit trickier so the current plan is to just make an announcement every time a show has been fully processed. Alternatively, we can also just make a post once a month that lists out every show and movie thats been processed that month.

I love it. I will still use the two-videos method for things I'm more invested in, because of the audio thing (sometimes I have to rewind and mute you guys to hear some dialogue, and sometimes I have to mute some explosions to hear what you're saying), but also so I can full screen parts of things I want to see better. But then other times I just I don't want to bother with managing two videos, because I'm not that into a particular movie, but still want to watch, partly for completionism's sake, and partly for all the juicy George and Simone lore spread throughout every reaction, but it's tedious when my internet causes one to pause and go out of sync, etc. Nice to have this handy second option!

This seems too good to be true, so I am anticipating developments. A significant criteria for fair use aside from whether the work is transformative, is whether it serves as a market substitute; that is, can a person substitute the genuine copyrighted works with the reaction versions as a means of outright consuming the media. Also we all know that just because a works may fall well and clearly within fair use and the law, YouTube and other hosts do not operate to the same interpretation of the law, often siding with media companies. Companies who are well known to weaponize the law to their own end, who have teams of lawyers on retainer who can make life difficult not just for individuals, but even Patreon such as filing complaints with payment processors that Patreon depend on. I can see that you're not using YouTube for the Uncovered version which is good, but that means any battle will be held between the lawyers of Patreon and the copyright holders on probably a video to video basis. Here's hoping and praying this goes well and Patreon are able to stand their ground without needing lawyers, although some new and strong case law would be nice too!

Yeah, I agreed with you when I first listened to their video. I'm an attorney and my first reaction to their post was that they need to get a better attorney. But then I thought about how they're going about it. While they are opening themselves up to some risk, they probably aren't in much more danger of losing their YouTube channel because they're hosting the uncovered versions on Patreon's video service, not YouTube. It's also behind a paywall, so the studios copyright bots might not necessarily be able to detect it as they normally would. Also, Patreon doesn't seem to have a three strikes and your channel is gone policy. Even if the studio does some kind of manual DMCA claim on the patreon, the Youtube shouldn't be affected by that. Patreon might just tell them to take down those offending videos. While I think its inevitable that Patreon will eventually get sued by studios for allowing this and that will lead to an inevitable policy change, until then we should just enjoy this. But I think George and Simone will largely be fine while enjoying a subscriber boost in the meantime.

I've been nothing less than surprised at how many more content creators I've seen uploading reactions with the full film included, especially when I've heard things about channels being shut down for doing exactly that (though it does raise into question what the specifics were of the channels that have been shut down). Up until now, I've assumed it was an incredibly risky move, since I can definitely understand the movie studio's viewpoint of, you are essentially redistributing their movie in a sense, even if it is slightly altered. It means people literally don't have to pay for or own the movie that they are literally watching via your channel/reaction - And this isn't like a let's play where they aren't really experiencing the joy of playing the game themselves, Watching a movie with someone else's commentary over can still provide more or less the same experience as watching the film without the commentary. That said, I know how seriously y'all take this channel/career choice of yours, and you have clearly done more than a respectable amount of research on the matter - and I know you wouldn't have come to the conclusion to do this if you weren't absolutely confident that you weren't doing anything wrong in doing so. I still think the more creators do this, it's probably only a matter of time before movie studios try to take some kind of action, and there might be some sort of legit legal debate we might see stem from all this.....but at the end of the day, as long as you know your channel and operations won't be compromised, even if accommodating adjustments have to be made in the future as things unfold, that's what really matters. But I know you're too smart to put everything on the line over a bit of convenience for us as viewers, so your confidence in the matter is honestly very eye opening to me.

Absolutely YES. To be honest I tend to stay a patreon of creators who do an uncovered version for a lot longer. It just makes things a lot easier without syncing (which sometimes is a b..ch due to different versions on different streaming sites etc. and you end up re-syncing during the watch). uncovered videos: I have to agree with some of the concerns that others have with this. I hope it works out well for you, but I'd recommend at least creating and publishing the blurred version as well just in case you have to reverse course down the road. Also, maybe make a spreadsheet with links to the uncovered videos so that you can more easily take them down later if needed. On the plus side, on the rare occasion when you react to a video which is a version which I don't have, this definitely helps.

Look, I understand that my opinion isn't really that important, I'm just one of many and there are going to be lots of different opinions, but personally I think this is a really bad idea and I do not understand what the appeal is for creators. One of the main arguments as to why studios should get behind reaction content instead of fighting it is because it encourages people to get their own copy. I think this is very much the kind of behavior that is going to make studios want to crack down even more than they already are, and from what I'm hearing that's already pretty intense. All I can say is, I have never understood why people find it hard to sync, I didn't see a lot of people complaining about this, and I feel like the people who are complaining about it are just simply a little bit lazy. I personally will be very disappointed and skeptical if this becomes the norm among reactors, and I also wouldn't be surprised it causes significant problems on everybody's end in the future.

It's too bad there doesn't seem to be a standard where a single video file can have its movie and reactor audio levels controlled independently. Like if there was a separate channel just for them and an easy control in the video player to adjust either volume.

if you choose to watch this new third version, then there would be no need to sync your own copy. however we are keeping the previously existing version where the content is muted and covered so that should you want to have your own copy to adjust the volume to, you still can.

I'm really hesitant about this because it will include volume. For example, Blind Wave has volume during their full length versions but it is so quiet and you basically have to sync up your own version anyways - which is way harder with two sources of the same movie audio, as opposed to with Cinebinge's where I don't need microsecond accuracy to enjoy the movie and reaction synced up relatively close. However, if the audio mix for these is done right, then this would be awesome!

I would really love to know the legal advice you got. Reel Rejects has 1.3 million youtube subscribers and have flat out said on their videos they don't do this on Patreon because it's illegal. See here: They don't mention channels but you can see Greg mention it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKLc7v-LNFo&t=3m5s To put what he said on that video here "sync up with your own copy, time code included. Cause it's flat out illegal to show the whole movie, look it up, and there are Patreon accounts that have been shut down for doing that. Because it's illegal. That's why we don't do it." EDIT: Like you think HBO is going to be okay you're putting full episodes of The Last of Us up that someone can watch without an HBO Max subscription just cause you talk over it? Really? Netflix won't let you share a password with your mom, but they're totally cool with you giving away Squid Games to thousands of people because you talk sometimes.

I guess this is good. The issue I may have is trying to watch a small movie screen within your reaction video. The other issue is if I want to use my own copy will there be a version without movie audio as syncing that up can be really horrible even if you get it almost perfect there will be wierd echoes and distortions.

I always thought this was the legal status - but it's still a big balls move to jump off the cliff and do it to that level - edited reactions and fighting BS DMCAs are one thing but the entire movie is a bit tighter to the meaning of the various conventions.. It's one of those things; being right doesn't mean you won't end up in court.. I thought some time ago about creating a webapp that would enable content creators (i.e. people who do reactions) to upload their reactions and then the user self-selects their own copy and sync is handled - even having support for the creator pausing and jumping back (as some do) etc which I still think might be the best ultimate solution to this sort of problem.

You don't get to easily adjust the balance between reaction commentary and movie, and you definitely will make big sacrifices on quality, but I guess it's convenient for phone-only audiences and people too busy or drunk to sync up the reaction with the movies.

This is great as I prefer to watch one video on my phone. When I have to use my laptop to sync reactions with my own copy, that means I have to put my cat out of the room, as she constantly walks around and sits on my keyboard when I use my laptop.

Awesome. This is great news for me, as much of the watch along stuff I see plays at a slightly different speed to you guys (frame rates I believe?) and I have to pause to catch up every couple of minutes. I'll still sync up I expect for those platforms that do match.

I've seen other Patreons do it. Like AliciaXLife and MrBLoyd, who have been uploading their reactions with full video and audio for years without issue. For them the only issue is studio bots that scrape Patreon for titles. And they gets around that by just titling the shoes as something else. Like Straw Hat for One Piece and BoB for Band of Brothers.

Continuing to provide the version that allows us sync our own copy sets you guys far apart from the rest. You guys are Rockstars for sure! My biggest complaint of other reactors who provide the all in one commentary is that they always mess up the audio to the point that I can't watch their content, despite the reactions being very good. My heart originally sank when I read that headline, thinking you all were going to follow suit down a bad road, so thank you, thank you, thank you for keeping current content as it is and just adding a third option. Personally, I prefer the setup as it is. The view of the movie you provide is the best of any reactor I've ever seen, and easy to sync up with. And I like being able to set the volume of the movie separately from the reaction video.

This is yuge, I had no idea this would be feasible given how copyright law can be, but very interesting indeed! If this format catches on it might be good for some channels e.g. group watches that watch their stuff on speakers, so you have to align your copy *exactly* to minimise audio echoing. Great stuff. Personally, I'll probably stick to the usual format as I think my system of having a mini-popout of the reaction on front of the fullscreen film works for me, but this is a great option when stuck, or even pn the phone.
