Wow. Kudos for braving the Terrifier franchise. They get more insane with each instalment. I have loved horror movies for decades and have even worked on horror productions but the Terrifier movies I could only watch so much of. Just not a fan of super extreme human torture gore. I'm more of a "monsters and aliens" horror kinda guy. On another note, my friend and his wife get killed by Art the Clown in Terrifier 2 lol.

Den Radar Ryan

I can’t wait until you get to 3.

Matthew Abbott

I learned about this franchise a couple of years ago, when one of Howard Stern's staff members (Richard Christy) was discovered to have contributed to the crowdfunding for Terrifier 2. I watched it and was thoroughly disgusted and frightened, yet I was impressed by how much the film, like Saw, maximized the use of its limited resources, and saw commercial success on a humble budget. The film is more extreme in some of its torture scenes but also a bit surprising, as some opportunities by Art to commit another atrocity are declined. It also has a bit more character development than this one, with the protagonist/victim presenting as a heroic archetype throughout the feature. I haven't watched any of the other films in the series until now. I find that this kind of movie is a little more palatable when watched with other people, including virtually (and prerecorded) in this case. I fully expected to see a memorable reaction from Simone to this genre, and I wasn't disappointed. Looking forward to your eventual reaction to Terrifiers 2 and 3, as well as to the prequels (9th Circle in 2008 and All Hallows Eve (an anthology that includes 9th Circle) in 2013).

Deadly Ramon

Every time Simone demands you subscribe like this, I unsub/resub. *shrugs*

DinChild

Never really got the love for this one. The second one is much better, as many have said.

JDV

Omg Simone make George watch BUFFY already!

Matthew Blackwood

I guess within the Gore genre it actually is both of those things. Art is a funny character (if he isn't sawing someone in half). The genre is usually much darker. Think "A Serbian Film" or "Hostel". But if you're not used to this level of gore? Yeah it's mostly gross.

Max Krause

Some great movies right around 90 minutes are David Cronenberg's Videodrome (1983) and The Brood (1979). Cronenberg is often great and always interesting. You should also check out Suspiria (1977 - NOT the 2018 remake). Surreal hypnotic Italian horror running on dream logic. One of the most beautifully shot horror films I've seen. Dario Argento's run of films from the 70s and 80s are all worthwhile but Suspiria and Deep Red are the big ones.

Seth

I really hope you two consider watching the next two. There is an actual plot extending across both that makes it much more interesting. The first film is more or less a concept.

Chad O'Connor

Now, I'm imagining an Art the Clown Mother's Day card. Thanks, Cinebinge!

Simon Peened Me

This bummed me out, so I went and watched the screams afterwords cuz they are fun and not a weird bummer. Next time you're at a loss as to what to watch, maybe just watch like 4 more screams instead.

droodly

Ahh, Ash vs Evil Dead. A series our canadian duo ought to getting to sooner or later, hopefully.

LeperMessiah117

Black Dynamite is awesome, a comedy favorite of mine. The Wicker Man was something I saw recently and it was much better than I anticipated. I knew it was something of a classic, but I liked it better than I thought I would.

LeperMessiah117

Channel Review: Are they like, high or something? Ohhh, they’re Canadian, gotcha. ;) And for some shorter movie (under 90 min.) recommendations for the future: -“Fantastic Mr. Fox” - “Black Dynamite” - “The Producers” (1967) - “The Wickerman” (of course the original from ‘73, unless George & Simone want to turn the Nic Cage one into a drinking game of some sort) - “Videodrome” - I think all of “Lone Wolf & Cub” movies are under 90 minutes - “Three Colors: White” (not my favorite from the trilogy but maybe the easiest to “react” to and still a gorgeous movie)

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Yeah the dispatcher, I've heard some dumb dispatchers cut people off for cursing, but telling him to stay calm and on the line; I'd tell him, "... do you see anything that can be used as a weapon? Both of you grab that shit and RUN, run like you give a shit about not being brutally murdered." I'd seen this once before and thought it was okay, gave me a big 80s slasher vibe but updated to an audience post Saw etc. Even though I'm not into gore really, I can say I think it's a masterpiece in its own way, for low budget it's really impressive. And I wondered if Art was played by a human statue, so he was a mime? Makes sense, but I got human statue because not only was he great at silence but the creepiest STILLNESS. What I think is funny is when you said you were looking for a sub 90 minute movie I would have recommended Hot Rod lol, very different experience. And when I heard this was described as "fun gore" I had to laugh because fun gore to me would be Ash Vs Evil Dead.

MacGuffinStuff

All the Terrifier movie are too lame and not funny enough. Yeah the gore effects are good but if I just want to watch the effects i’ll just see a clip of it. Hope you guys had fun tho

Haye Zeus

I love how this movie always flips the switch on people. It starts with everyone laughing at the cheesy dialogue and awkward acting… then the sawn-in-half scene hits, and suddenly we’re not laughing at the movie—we’re bracing for what it’s about to do to us. Watching Simone go from nervous laughter at the beginning to full-on horror, and finally ending up just plain disgusted—lots of fun to watch

Doug's Night Terrors

Someone described this as "goofy" and "fun"?!

sarCC

Please watch the other two sequels. The first movie is considered more of a proof of concept. Terrifier 2 is leaps and bounds better than one when it comes to story, characters and kills. Terrifier 3 is on par with 2 and i can't wait for Terrifier 4.

MarkGauci85

fun fact if it wasn't mentioned yet, this movie was made for only $35,000. Please watch the sequels!

Grumblefunk

I think this is the best one, its dumb, shocking and revels in its b-level splatter. And Art the Clown is instantly iconic with both his look and performance. The rest of the series so far has been a case of diminishing returns; the budgets get bigger, and mastermind David Leone attempts to give us plot & characters to root for, but I’m not getting more out of them than what I got from this one. And frankly those longer run times nearly ruin the experience for me much more so than any gory set pieces. It gets too self indulgent at a point, there’s no need to make these over 2 hours long. If you have the itch for shock & gore, I think you’d have much more fun with “Dead Alive/Braindead” or continuing the “Evil Dead” series with “Ash vs. The Evil Dead” & “Evil Dead Rise”, or some J-Splatter like “Tokyo Gore Police” & “The Machine Girl”.

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Simone, you should 100% show George Buffy so he stops rolling his eyes every time you mention one of the best TV series ever made.

Odd Thomas

Yeah, not for me, and I'm a big horror fan. I thought we'd left torture p**n back in 2006. Some properly scary movies: Sinister The Autopsy of Jane Doe The Conjuring 2 Hell House LLC

Odd Thomas

That's a no from me dawg. lol

s0rd3z

Hellraiser movies are also extremely gross, fair warning to S and G, lol, but I do love those first two films a bunch

Michael Green

Recommend for visceral reaction. Valhalla rising 2009, perfume: a story of a murderer 2006

nigel Macbug

“What’s a ‘good’ movie we have that’s under 90 minutes?” ...proceeds to pick a truly terrible one 😂😂 All jokes aside, bad movies can occasionally be a lot of fun too. And with that, I’d like to gently crack open the door to "The Room" (2003). A truly awful (but excellent) film. Also, some great shorter movies: - "Rope" by Hitchcock (1948, 81 minutes) - "But I'm a Cheerleader" (1999, 85 minutes) - "Modern Times" (1936) and "City Lights" (1931) by Chaplin are 87 minutes each

Cincassette

GL Simone. Have fun George. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there.

Jpsynergy

oh, I can’t wait to watch this reaction. I’ve been waiting for this all week. Oh, don’t get me wrong. I think these movies are not good at all, but that’s why I like watching reactions. Seeing people freak out and jump. The only thing I like about these movies is Art the Clown. I think he’s a unique design of a character. Hope you watch the other ones. 🍿 😎🤙🏻🪚

BigGuy209

I enjoyed this, not scary as such but graphic. Looking forward to seeing the sequels. You should put 'Barbarian' and 'Hellraiser' on a horror list some time, if not already. A modern horror I actually enjoyed and Hellraiser is a classic that spawned a pop culture icon

ScottishSammo

I get why some folks dig this, but as a horror fan it did absolutely nothing for me, lol. Gross, but not scary. Ah well, not everything is for everybody

Michael Green

This is actually the second Art The Clown movie, the first one is called "All Hallows' Eve" from 2013... it's an anthology with two previous shorts in wich Art appears and new footage.

Monica Alarcon

oh no. you guys are watching these? I swear the guy who makes these is a sadist. These are mean spirited and gross. IMO

tullius cicero

How comparable are these to Hostel? Cause I feel like I have no need to see these having seen that one.

Astraeos

To be honest, the actors are bad, except David as Art; it’s not surprising tho, there was not much 💸 at the time when they did the first Terrifier

E. D.

It was so funny listening to the intro of George saying "apparently it's not even like Saw" cause who the fuck lied to you??? lmao

DeAndrew Greene

Well, you survived the film. Congratz! Now you should see the next one! It gets better from here. The Gentlemen is my favorite episode of Buffy, it was sooo good. Oh yeah Art the Clown made his first appearance was in an anthology film called All Hallow's Eve (2013)

DM DC

Hopefully this movie helps open the door to other films like Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, and The Toxic Avenger,

MikeBdrx

Wait...I'm 44 seconds in...is Simone going in completely blind to Art the Clown? George, you evil bastard, I love you! This is going to be awful(ly hilarious).

Grandalf

Oh, man. You are NOT prepared. I enjoy slashers but these veer into torture porn territory... it gets exponentially worse from here on in.

Nicodemus Archleone

Simone regretting starting a youtube channel with this one

Penis

Oh this is going to be fun. Good luck Simone

IncredibleBulk

This movie was bad. I'd have more superlatives to use but it doesn't need to be more than that.

Mike FromOz

glad you had some laughs between the bloody🔪🍖 I only could watch the yt version bc I’m at my parent’s

E. D.

The peak of the slasher genre. Hopefully you'll do all of them.

Jadepaw

Listening to your intro now. just wait till you get to 2 and 3. Fourth movie comes out next year.

JediLounger

Ohh... I think you Cinebingers stumbled into the WRONG neighborhood. 😮 Well, if you like this one, there is this little film called "Hostel" (2005).
