2023-10-05 06:30:02 +0000 UTCY'know, with how well Hanners has been doing lately (ever since her big trip iirc?), sometimes I forget that her character arc involves having struggled with (sometimes debilitating) OCD since childhood. And then we get moments like these that make it clear that while she's grown a lot, and has much better coping skills and a stronger sense of community than when she was first introduced, she still absolutely has OCD and it still absolutely effects her life; it's just a matter of how noticeable that is to an "outsider". Just wanna give props to you Jeph, your depictions of mental health and neurodivergence are one of my favorite things about this comic :D You do a really great job of digging into the heart of things while still being respectful & not turning it into sideshow gawking or "inspiration p-rn". Your characters are unapologetically human (even the AIs, ironically!). Keep at it :)
