Behind the Scenes with Parakeets!

I'm planning to do some more filming and editing tonight, now that things are mostly back to normal! Until then, here's a quick "behind the scenes/day in the life" video of some of my family members you have not met - my parakeets! It's just a couple minutes of them hanging out and avoiding my camera, being cute as usual. Enjoy!

Awww he sounds adorable and very smart! It does sound like he liked to pet himself! One of my little guys likes to rub his head against his swing in that way.
2019-02-20 03:11:17 +0000 UTCI miss my birds! My blue/green parakeet would free fly around the house and was crazy for rolled oats. He would get some for a treat in the evening. He would go to his food dish, get one, fly into his cage, un-roll it it, and slowly eat it as he stuck his head under a bell in his cage. I think he liked to pet himself. HE would also come to a special call I had for him and I could excite him to the point where he would regurgitate food and try to feed me.

2019-02-18 20:40:07 +0000 UTCHahaha way, way, way too much time! Truthfully, Spec isn't really that interested in them for some reason. But my cat Nala is obsessed. She surely thinks I'm the worst cat in the world because not only do I fail to hunt the birds but I prevent her from hunting them lol.
