A different way of doing things

So, as I'm writing this I'm a few hours out from having 7000 words of If I'm Honest ready to come to you, which probably makes May one of the most productive months I've had. Especially if you include the several thousand other words I came up with for both which were then cut for the scenes not quite working how I wanted. Writers block well and truly beaten, right?

Which might make this announcement feel a little weird. Basically, I'm going to keep posting here to Patreon the way I have been, but with one big change. For now, I'm going to be turning off payments on your subs and just leaving one tier as a tip jar where people can pay what they want, if they want. And if you don't want to pay, no worries, the content is going to be free for you to view anyway.

I really, really, really appreciate the support people give me here, but I work full time as a doctor in my day job and while I'm feeling creatively more excited than ever to get my stories to you, the stress and feeling of obligation that comes with there being a payment attached is more than I really want right now. It was a public holiday here in the UK on Monday and I felt guilty for going to a friends BBQ rather than sitting down to get a few hundred more words written for you all, knowing people had paid to support me which, yeah...I don't want to do that. And as I get towards parts of IIH and QT:UK I've been looking forward to writing, I don't want to feel like I'm meant to be hitting some required word count for the other and like I'm disappointing people who've paid, hoping to see them.

As I said, I'm going to keep up posting here exactly as I have been. Not everything I do is going to be ready to go on public sites straight away, and I enjoy being able to give previews and work in progress for you. Likewise I want somewhere to put the occasional side scene from QT:UK that won't fit in the main body of the story and similar stuff, or to have somewhere to take votes on IIH. And I have art being commissioned that's not a natural fit for Literotica either.

I'm not planning on posting less, I'm just not going to force myself to try and fit around a calendar month any more. So there's no reason not to just leave me in your feed and enjoy stuff when it appears. And as always, feedback on what I'm writing is the big thing that keeps me going, so any comments you want to drop me are super appreciated.

With all that said, the latest Picture Perfect update is something you all paid for last month, so it wouldn't be reasonable to immediately put that up for free when it's been on a delay so far. As a result, I'm going to pause payments for now, get that out to paying members either tonight or tomorrow morning via their messages to keep it private, and then make the membership changes as soon as they have it. It'll then appear for everyone a little down the line.
