Monthly Update - November

Hey there,
I know a load of you have followed me from Corrupting Power's patreon and fandom so are probably aware of how he does a weekly update to let his followers know what's going on and what to expect. My output obviously isn't nearly as prolific as his, but I'm quite happy to shamelessly steal the idea for a monthly update to keep you all posted.

First up is that at some point this evening once I've had a chance to do an edit pass I'll be sharing a preview of the latest chunk of QT:UK, another section from Aoife's point of view. Hopefully you appreciate these sneak peaks. I've got a little way to run still with writing the rest of chapter 8, since I've got a handful of things I want to pull off with it and getting everything right is frankly kicking my ass a little. I feel like I'm past the main hump, but right as I've run into a stretch where the day job is going to take priority for a couple of days, but with any luck it's going to be worth waiting for.

If anyone follows much attention to UK politics they may have realised that we're currently having a public enquiry into the handling of Covid IRL. There's been a lot of high profile public testimony this week, so needless to say I'm also taking notes eagerly for the point at which I'll be able to work that reality back into the story.

Next up after that is going to be Picture Perfect Chapter 3. The poll tipped things towards Riley heading towards Cartegena and while I know exactly what both encounters she has there are going to be, my brain isn't going to tell me how long that takes to cover until I start writing. So we may be looking at another split chapter, or it may come out all in one go. Either way you're going to have 6-10l words at some point of our girl in Colombia.

I also alluded to in a previous post that I was working on a related project for the QTverse that's taking up a bit of extra time. CP's not announced it publically yet, but I've been poking around at putting together a website as an official hub for all the QT stories and have wrangled things far enough that the main hurdle now is going to be uploading 70+ of his chapters 1 by 1 to the site. It's not going to take up writing time, but is an extra thing taking my attention, but also with any luck something people reading this are keen to see when it's ready. And lastly, I've got 1.5 chapters of a darker sci-fi story I started a year or so back kicking around on my harddrive. My aim for this month is to maybe go back and toy with that a little and get something shared as a pilot for whether people would like to see more. So that should be coming in the next week or so too.
