Agreed. A self destruct that blows up a planet ain't going to be relying upon security through obscurity.

2020-06-15 10:13:12 +0000 UTCReading the bit about Self-Destruct Mechanisms reminded me of the WTF were they thinking, when it comes to the Krell Great Machine's "off switch". It's so simple to activate that I'm surprised that none of the original colonists of the Bellerophon accidentally triggered the destruction of the planet when they were snooping around the Krell Lab. (My personal theory is that it didn't exist until Morbius willed it into existence. However, on rewatch, it's there, though as a practical effect, I doubt it was the fully functional version. Only when they needed to have it work, did they actually rig it up.)
