Filling in the blanks

Progress on the next update has been coming along quite well, being very close to art complete now. The first initial draft is almost finished (save for a scene or two). Testing has been taking a bit more time than usual, but that is to be expected the more we go down particular storylines, given that the amount of differing variables keep inevitably growing and growing. Still, it's been fun so far, the coding can have an almost Zen-like effect when you're doing it for long enough. Very different from actually writing.

Other than just expanding on the game through new updates, recent success in the game has also allowed me to put some extra resources towards filling in the blanks. Or more accurate, filling in the black screens.

Those of you who've played one of the many routes have undoubtedly ran into a fair amount of black screens in the game. These screens were initially created by me because I didn't have the resources to make every scene I wanted; but I still wanted to show people that these scenes would eventually make it into the game.

Well, eventually (for some of them), is now! While most of my attention and resources are still dedicated towards expanding the game with new content each update, I now also feel comfortable being able to do the occasional update on a black screen. Don't go expecting too much, maybe 1-2 images per update, but it should hopefully help slowly removing any and all black screens from the game.

In particular, 2 in my mind very important scenes will soon be getting their respective artworks:

1) Sarah and Varga getting married
2) First optional sexual encounter between Sarah and Varga

The reason for these scenes in particular was the fact that I think each is quite important to this particular route.
Sarah getting married and her first encounter with Varga are both very important moments; and I've always thought it was sad that people who opt into this story end up getting off to sort of a 'weak' start when the first thing they run into is a black screen.

And so above you'll find the initial sketch work for these designs. I think they'll each make great additions to the game's existing content.
