Progress Update on v0.70
Added 2022-09-16 17:15:59 +0000 UTCProgress on the upcoming update v0.70 is coming along well. Both the art and the writing are mostly finished, save for some last edits. Most of the work that remains to be done on it is a question of coding everything together, which is mainly a question of finding the time. A lot of my time is currently also being used towards working on the bigger two updates that will follow after this one, so it's a balancing act.
My best estimation right now is that I'll be able to release v0.70 on/around the 25th of September. Why around rather than exactly that date? Because the weekend is an odd one for me on account of some personal-life stuff (nothing serious, just life stuff), so it will likely be a few days earlier or later, depending on how my schedule works out, but regardless, the update will be here very soon!
As for the bigger updates that will follow after, I'll likely be able to announce the first details on that in the week after the v0.70 release, but the good news is that the artwork for the following update has really progressed a lot over the last few weeks, so I'm feeling very confident on the progress that's being made there.
Some other news
In some other news, there has also been some progress on the front of the game's promo-art! I've been told (accurately so, I think), that the current promo-art for the game was rather flat.
Above you can see the new promo-art for the game, as well as the new and improved logo. I think each is a huge step up for the game compared to the previous, and I think it does a far better job of showing what the game is about.
I'm not a 100% sure this will be the all-time-definitive promo-art for the game, but for now, I definitely think it's a jump up from before. I'll be working this into the game itself, as well as all other places where I promote the game, but I thought you'd all probably like to see it first!
