My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.25

Killua kept his eyes closed and his breathing steady as he woke up, feeling two presences around his bed before sighing as the one to his feet spoke up.

“You know that I can see your cursed energy fluctuating for a brief moment when you woke up, right?”, His dad asked and the boy opened his eyes to see the man standing with an amused smile, not surprised to see Mai sleeping peacefully on a chair to his left.

“How long?”

“Seven hours. It would have been shorter according to Shoko, but you had severe nerve damage and burned muscle fibers. If you didn't have your Reversed Cursed Technique, you wouldn't even be able to talk right now. What did you even do?”

“It's my Maximum Technique. To put it simply, it forces my body beyond the highest point that I can achieve with Speed of Lightning. Like with Speed of Lightning, thought and reaction become one, but in exchange, my nerves are burned to a crisp and I think I tear about a few dozen muscles to force my body to that point.”

“Is that a Binding Vow or are you just not used to using the transformation?”

“The latter,” Killua answered as he sat up, hiding his wince as he felt pain flaring up in his legs before shaking his head with a frown.

“Huh, then you should work on mastering your technique before you focus on your Maximum. You have learned Reverse Cursed Technique, Domain Expansion and Maximum Technique, something that a rare few throughout sorcerer history can say they have done, but you've mastered none of them. Jujutsu sorcery is all about mastering one of those and then building out a solid structure from them, but you've build up all three at the cost of none of them being as strong as they could be.”

“Which did you start with, then?”, Killua asked as he looked at his dad, who hummed as the man looked to be in thought before answering.

“Well, it was most definitely Reverse Cursed Technique first and after that, I refined both it and my regular Limitless until I could do them in my sleep. Then, I focused on Domain Expansion and mastered it in its entirety.”

“What about your Maximum?”

“Never found a need for it,” Killua raised an eyebrow at his dad's nonchalant answer before narrowing his eyes.

“Wait, isn't your Hollow Purple like a Maximum Technique?”

“I wouldn't say so, but if you think so, then I suppose it can be. The only issue is that Hollow Purple is just a simple combination of Red and Blue while a Maximum Technique is supposed to be like Domain Expansion. It needs to be the pinnacle of what the technique can achieve on its own.”

“…Huh, I guess you could create a black hole, then,” Killua said with a shrug before frowning as he saw the thoughtful look in his father's eyes.

“That would be the pinnacle of the Limitless technique.”

“Should I warn Yaga then about what you're about to do?”

“Nah, I'll do it myself. Anyway, I thought I told you to keep an eye on Yuta.”

“I was…and then I felt cursed energy outside the perimeter of the school, which I went to check out and I found her.”

“Her?”

“The woman with the stitchings,” His dad's eyes narrowed behind his blindfold as the man stood up straight and his lips formed a thin line at that.

“Was she there for you?”

“No. According to her, she wanted to see the battle between Suguru Geto and Yuta. Wait, was Geto actually there?”, Killua asked, watching as his dad sighed before nodding slowly.

“Yeah, he was, though I didn't have to help as Yuta took care of him on his own.”

“Did he kill him?”

“…Yes.”

“That was way too slow. Dad, you made sure to destroy his body, right?”, Killua said with a frown, not surprised when his dad sighed and didn't answer.

He could understand what the man was going through since if someone told him that he had to destroy Gon's body, he was fairly sure that person would stop breathing in the same sentence.

However, he also knew that while Suguru Geto was not coming back as a curse since Yuta knew to kill any Curse User with cursed energy, there was still the off-chance of someone taking the body and using it for their own purposes.

“Dad, I know you want to give him a proper burial, but there's a reason aunt Shoko is there to properly dispose of a body. You can either do that or I can ask her to if you're not feeling capable.”

“Don't worry, Kil. I'll…get her to do it. Anyway, I'm going to leave you and your friend alone, but I'll be back later so we can discuss that marking situation more.”

“Got it,” Killua nodded, watching as his father left while hoping that the man was actually going to Shoko to ask for her help with Suguru's body.

'Knowing him, though, he's probably going to take his sweet time so I definitely call just to be sure.'

“I can feel your electromagnetic field, Mai. There's no need to fake your sleeping.”

“Hah, fine. I just wanted to hear more about the woman with markings,” Mai grumbled as she opened her eyes, but Killua smiled as the girl didn't move and instead slouched even more into the comforter thrown around her.

“You know, the others send their wishes. Todo said that he's going to pop by later today to see if you're up and well-enough to go with him to a Takada-chan concert.”

“I'd rather still be knocked out,” Killua muttered with a smirk, Mai smirking at his words before he smiled as he saw the concern standing behind her amusement.

“You can be mad, you know?”

“Oh, I was going to be, but I think the relief that you're okay is still strong. Give me a few minutes and you'll see angry Mai.”

“Well, until then, I think I'll enjoy the presence of relieved Mai. So, what has been going on since I was unconscious?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, Mechamaru is a traitor?”, Principal Gakuganji asked as he, Killua, Miwa and Utahime sat in his office, the older gentleman stroking his beard with a frown while Utahime looked saddened at his words.

“Unfortunately, yes. My dad and I have been a bit suspicious of him ever since Todo found the marking on Tokyo Jujutsu High's campus, but he confirmed it when he slipped up by admitting that he knew about the marked non-sorcerers that we had found.”

“I see. Hmm, it is a shame indeed that a young man of his calibre is now our enemy.”

“B-But that doesn't mean we have to…kill him, right?”, Miwa asked and Utahime gave a soft smile before shaking her head.

“No, we don't have to kill him, but if there's no option…”

“Then, they'll just send me and I'll capture him,” Killua said with a smirk, to which Utahime narrowed her eyes while Miwa frowned.

“You think you could take on Mechamaru and his dozens of puppets on your own?”

“And win? Without a doubt. The issue is that Mechamaru needs to be in the same place as his puppets and as we all know, that guy does not take any risks at all.”

“If that's the case, perhaps we could force his hand. Figure out a way to make him come to us instead of us going to him.”

“Does he have any family? Any loved ones that we can contact?”

“Contact…or kidnap?”, Utahime asked with narrowed eyes at Killua, who looked at her before shrugging.

“Is there a difference? If we contact them, he'll figure out that we could have kidnapped them and that we actually just want to talk. If we kidnap them and he loves them, we can make him come to us and be captured out of his own volition.”

“And if we kidnap them and he doesn't love them?”

“We let them go. They'd just be taking up space anyway,” Killua said with a shrug, leaning back in his chair as Utahime sighed at his words while Gakuganji shook his head.

“Unfortunately, that plan will not work as Mechamaru did not submit any information of a family, most likely to prevent this scenario.”

“Then I guess it's back to square one of finding him because we need to,” Killua murmured with a shrug, to which Utahime just shook her head while Miwa blinked at his words.

“You really have a ruthless personality.”

“I do. Anyway, what happened during Suguru Geto's attacks? Was anyone seriously injured?”

“We did lose two Grade 1 and five Grade 2 sorcerers, but the Three Great Clans did not lose any sorcerers while protecting their lands.”

“And the school? No one tried to break in?”, Killua asked, looking relieved as Utahime smiled and shook her head.

“No, no one did, though I did hear from Satoru about you facing off against-”

“Miwa is still here, though she knows about Mecha so perhaps she wants to know about this?”, Killua asked as he turned to Miwa and let out a chuckle as Miwa simply shook her head and stood up.

“No, I think I'll be okay if I don't know any important information. That way, no one can say that I was part of this…secret group thing.”

“Will do, Miwa. I'll walk you to your room,” Utahime said with a smile as she stood up, Killua watching them leave before he turned back to Principal Gakuganji as the man spoke.

So, what is this I heard of you facing off against the woman with the stitchings?”

“To say that we faced off means that she was actually taking me seriously.”

“Were you?”

“Of course not. I had to keep her occupied and make sure she didn't make it to Yuta. However, I didn't expect the Special Grade Cursed Spirit she brought with her.”

“Special Grade? Was it one of the sixteen?”

“No, I've memorized those and this was a completely new one. On top of that, this one had a Domain Expansion that allowed it to make fish shikigami.

“Hmm~ If this spirit was indeed a Special Grade, then its curse technique was most likely focused around the fear that people had of the ocean.”

“And there are many other fears that people have of natural phenomena.”

“So, we're looking at a group of Special Grade curses that work with this woman, then?”, Gakuganji murmured, Killua nodding in agreement before the boy shook his head with a sigh and stood up.

“This could all also just be speculation and that was actually the only Special Grade ally she has, but when she attacks once again, I'll be ready next time.”

“Something tells me that this woman is going to wait longer this time considering that she already has one of her targets. Have you heard anything of your mother?”, Gakuganji asked, Killua grimacing at his words and shaking his head.

“No, Dad says that he's searched half of Japan, but nothing. We did check out my mother's family records, though. We found that her ancestry was fairly mundane, simple rice farmers and whatnot…but there was one thing that bothered me.”

“And what was that?”

“She had a distant ancestor that did not have a name or a sketch. The only thing we got was the epithet 'God of Lightning' and Yamata no Orochi called me the descendant of the God of Lightning.”

“You believe that this may be the reason why your mother was kidnapped?”

“That or she was kidnapped to get at Dad and I,” Killua said with a shrug, Gakuganji letting out a hum at that as the elderly man stroked his beard before nodding.

“That is a plausible theory, but it is still a theory. Perhaps when you meet this figure again, ask them why they kidnapped your mother.”

“You honestly believe she'll talk?”, Killua asked with a raised eyebrow, smirking as Gakuganji smiled and shook his head.

“No, but perhaps you'll distract her long enough for her to drop her guard and then kill her. Then, we can save your mother even if we have to tear up the entirety of Japan to do so.”

'…He's not bad, but he's still one of my main suspects for being an ally to Mechamaru.'

“Now, we're talking my language,” Killua said with a smirk as he turned and walked out of the office, making his way to the cafeteria where everyone was most likely hanging.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hmm, it appears our friend Dagon did not survive the battle."

"Impossible. Dagon is one of our strongest even before he hatched from his Cursed Womb."

"And he fought against the son of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of our era," The woman with stitches on her forehead muttered with a hum as she sat on a sofa in the centre of a warehouse, not surprised to feel the temperature intensifying as well as roots beginning to crawl up her body.

“Tell us one good reason why we shouldn't kill you right now,” A one-eyed cursed spirit with a volcano on top of his head spoke with a growl as he looked at the woman, his companion silent as their roots continued to crawl up the woman's legs.

“You do that and I'd like to see how you're going to beat Satoru Gojo without my help.”

'It is quite a shame that I could not get Suguru Geto's body from the morgue. At least I know that Killua Gojo has the sense to get rid of a potential threat, though I am surprised to see that he could use a Maximum Technique.'

“Besides, Dagon will be reborn in the next century or so and while he might not be the same person, he'll still be a close ally to your cause once he gains consciousness to see you all as the humans of the new world.”

“…And it is only for that reason that I do not burn you asunder,” The one-eyed spirit grumbled as he lowered his hand, his pale-skinned companion pulling their roots back while their tree-like eyes turned to look at the woman.

Noitca fo esruoc txen ruoy si tahw(What is your next course of action)?”, The spirit asked, the one-eyed volcanic spirit rubbing his head with a murmured grumble while the woman smiled and stood up, swirling the glass of wine in her hand.

“For now, we rest. Suguru Geto's attack has caused for my plans to be delayed as Jujutsu Society will be on high alert for any attack within the coming months. Therefore, I want you all to prepare…and I'll do the same.”

“Prepare for what?”, The volcanic cursed spirit asked as the woman left the room, to which she chuckled as she opened the door to the large back area of the warehouse and stared at the hundreds of people in comas with her markings glowing ominously on their foreheads.

“War, my dear Jogo. We prepare for war.”

A/N: I have to apologize for the late upload. There was weather problems so that fucked with the internet and the power.

Does that mean no Gojo being sealed away…or does our friend still have something in mind?

Who knows? Let's find out next time~!!

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!
