47)Perfection? Not For Me: Ch.47

'Oh, this is bad. Oh, this is very bad. Wait, if Beerus can read minds, he most definitely can,' I thought before grimacing as the Grand Priest simply smiled and nodded.

Do not worry, Eric Creed. I am simply here to escort to Lord Zeno. What goes on in your mind is none of my concern,” I honestly did not know how the Grand Priest knew my exact name and I did not want to ask as I simply nodded.

'Uh, okay. So, should I just follow you?'

Yes, but first, I shall inform the others first.”

“L-L-Lord Grand Priest!”, Beerus and Champa squeaked as they quickly rushed forward, bowing to the angel who smiled as he looked to his surprised children.

“May I ask why the Great Lord Zeno would wish to see Lord Cuu, Father?”, Whis asked and the Grand Priest chuckled as he nodded.

“It is simply a test from Lord Zeno to see if Cuu is worthy of his position as Supreme Kai despite the fact that he is not a Glind.”

“Technically, I am every species in the history of Universe 7,” I spoke up as I grew out a pair of pointy ears, but the Grand Priest just looked amused as he snapped his fingers.

To my surprise, I found myself back in my bubblegum pink Super Buu form, looking at the Angel as he smiled while lowering his hand.

“That is your true form and it is unfortunately not a Glind. Therefore, you must come and talk to Lord Zeno.”

“U-Uh, if I may interject for just a quick moment to speak to Cuu, Lord Grand Priest?”

“By all means. He is your life link after all,” Grand Priest spoke with a smile and Beerus bowed deeply before wrapping an arm around me and pulling me to where Goku, Glorio and Vegeta were just looking on.

“Hey, Lord Beerus. Who's t-!”

“You, Saiyans and demon, quiet. You, demon turned god, you don't do anything out of order, okay? You breathe, listen and speak only when they ask you to and nothing more because I am NOT losing my life from your idiocy, understood?!”, He hissed and I rolled my eyes while taking his hands from my shoulders.

“Beerus, which of us has actually made a change to Universe 7 in the past decade? I know what to do that does not result in me losing my life, or should I say our lives.”

“That's exactly why I'm saying this. Do not do anything that would set off Lord Zeno,” He spoke with a frown and I just smiled amusedly before nodding.

“Fine, I promise I won't anger Lord Zeno and risk the extinction of universe 7 or the multiverse.”

“Are we done yet?”, The Grand Priest asked as he appeared in between us, Beerus nearly jumping out of his skin while I flinched a bit before nodding.

“We are indeed, Grand Priest. Let us…depart…”, I slowly trailed off as the scenery had shifted within an instant, the vibrant skies of Beerus' planet replaced with the surreal architecture of Zeno's palace.

The skies above were a kaleidoscope of every changing colours, the floors having the appearance of polished crystals yet the consistency of fluffy clouds.

“Lord Zeno, I have brought your guest,” I looked in the direction where the Grand Priest was looking and was greeted by three figures staring back at me.

Two of them looked like they could be twins as they stared at me with menacing frowns, standing tall on either side of the throne in the centre of the beautiful area. Having cyan-coloured skin and wearing high-collared purple jackets with golden lining, they also had grey full-body suits underneath their jackets with a long pointy-tipped bronze hat and their arms behind their backs.

However, it was the one in the centre that caught my attention, his oval head being very large and his stature small as his round eyes were focused on me and a happy smile on his face as he was dressed in a magenta coat with a black and white shirt underneath and the kanji for 'All' on the front.

“Hi~!”, He waved with a smile and I blinked before slowly waving back.

“Uh, hello, how are you doing.”

“Good!”, He nodded and I felt a bit awkward as he looked happy to see me while I was just confused at what the hell was going on.

'What do I even do now?'

“So, you wanted to see me?”, I asked, getting a bit cautious at the guards glaring at me while Zeno smiled and nodded.

“Yeah, are you enjoying your new life?”, He asked and I blinked before my eyes widened as I remembered Shin-no and Beerus talking about how I had residue of Zeno's energy attached to me.

“So, you were the reason I was reincarnated as Cell?”

“Yep! Did you like it?”, He asked with a smile and I couldn't help my excited smile as I nodded.

Here was my opportunity to figure out everything about what has happened.

“I did somewhat, but I have one important question. Why did you choose me?”

“I didn't. The Creator did,” Zeno spoke with a smile and I frowned at that before turning to the Grand Priest as he decided to explain once he saw the confusion in my eyes.

“The Creator or Lord Tori is the one who regulates every point of space and time in our reality. He is rarely one to interfere directly, but with your case, he allowed your soul to pass through. In his own exact words: You represent an element of chaos that may provide further entertainment for others.”

“W-Wait, Tori? As in…Toriyama?”, I asked in shock and was even further confused as the Grand Priest furrowed his brows while Zeno looked confused.

“Who's that?”

'Okay, so it's not Toriyama that put me here…Huh, a bit of a bummer, but okay.'

“Sorry, I'm thinking of someone else. So, you're telling me that everything that has happened for was for…what? Some kind of cosmic 'what-if' experiment?”

“One could say that, yes, but Lord Tori essentially loves to give those that has lost their way a chance at a new life and find a new meaning to their existence in their second life.”

“Also, your energy was fun! It's not bound to the rules and laws of fate like the others that live in our reality!”, Zeno spoke with an excited smile as his eyes sparkled like stars and I frowned at that before nodding.

“I see. I thank you for telling me this, Lord Zeno, Lord Grand Priest.”

“Oh, no need to thank us. After all, it was not without a price,” The Grand Priest spoke with a smile and I smirked as I caught the tone in his voice.

“I assume this is going to be a test, then?”

“One to see whether you belong in this universe or one that needs to be erased.”

'Pass and you live, but fail and you get erased,' The words were not said verbally, but it was loud for all to hear as Zeno giggled when I nodded.

“Very well, what is the test?”, In response, the Grand Priest raised his hand and in an instant, the colourful surroundings faded into a vast empty void, stretching endlessly in all directions while the five of us were afloat on a glowing white platform.

The next moment, three portals appeared in front of me, each showing a different scenario as I looked at each one while the Grand Priest spoke.

“The test is neither one of power or skill…but one of choice. Scenario 1: A planet is being destroyed by your fellow god of Destruction and you wish to interfere, but doing so will break a universal law that a Supreme Kai is not allowed to violate. The law is that a Supreme Kai must not interfere with a world that has been deemed to be erased and doing so will risk your Supreme Kai status.

Scenario 2: An old mortal friend has discovered remnants of your energy and wishes to summon you to him using it for one last goodbye before they pass, but if they succeed, your mortal past becomes known to the other gods and they may question your divinity. Do you sever the connection or do you answer the call and risk chaos for the sake of friendship?

The final Scenario: Your allies are about to walk into a trap set by an enemy and you could warn then, but doing so would cause your knowledge of future events to be revealed, something you were not allowed to speak to anyone at the threat of existence erasure. Do you let them fend for themselves or risk having your existence erased to save them?”

“Now, what's your answers?”, Zeno asked with a smile of anticipation as I looked at the three scenarios, letting my mind flow through the thought process as I hummed before answering.

“…I choose to ignore the rules,” I answered with a shrug and Zeno blinked while the Grand Priests raised an eyebrow and the two guards tensed.

“You cannot ignore the rules.”

“Then the rules will have to learn to ignore me,” I spoke and immediately, the energy in the room shifted as I saw the two guards bristling at my audacity while the Grand Priest's gaze sharpened.

“Explain.”

“Each of the scenarios is a trap. Look at the first one. It is asking me to abandon the lives of innocents for the sake of a title, but being called the Supreme Kai means nothing to me if I have to sacrifice my integrity for it.

The second asks me to choose between the past and my place in the present, but our past makes us who we are and to turn my back on a friend is to spit in the face of the being that helped me get where I am.

The third one…Letting comrades die because I'm not supposed to tell them? I don't care for that. The second I had this knowledge, I accepted the consequences that comes with them. However, if I can use this knowledge with wisdom and influence fate without declaring it, then I am able to walk the thin line. I can become a paradox that still function,” I spoke as I stepped forward, pushing the scenarios out of the way while looking directly at Zeno past the guards.

“You said it yourself, Lord Zeno. I'm not like the others. I am a chaotic element that's here to provide entertainment and what entertainment is there if the chaotic element follows the rules just like everyone? No, I'm here to serve a purpose. If the rules follow that purpose, then I'll follow them, but if they don't, then I'll simply rewrite the conditions around them.”

“…”, Zeno was silent as he stared at me, his smile gone as the two guards stood to the side, Grand Priest slowly lowering his hand while looking at Zeno as the short being floated up and towards me.

The two of us were eye to eye as I readied myself for a fight only to blink as he grinned and clapped excitedly.

“That was awesome!! You're weird!”

“…Thank you?,” I have been called worse, but it is a bit confusing when the being of all creation in the multiverse calls you weird. Zeno didn't seem to mind my confusion as he grinned and turned to Grand Priest.

“He thinks like me, Priest! He's chaotic and fun like me, not boring and not safe!”

“He is indeed, sire.”

“So, that's a pass?”, I asked hesitantly before smiling in relief as Zeno nodded happily while the Grand Priest smiled.

“Yes, that is a pass. The test was not just about your choices, but also about why you chose. Had you gone with any of the choices we presented, you would have been erased, but you remained true to your essence and chose the path of order through the strings of unorthodox.”

“…I think I get what you mean?”

“You also present a rare quality that Lord Zeno likes: That of chaotic justice.”

“I like that. It's like Boom! Go to sleep, bad guy, and then bang! Erase you from existence!”, Zeno exclaimed as the beautiful area of Zeno's palace formed around us while the void vanished, to which I chuckled as I patted his head only to freeze as I remembered who the little guy was.

'I got way too used to Panzy!', I thought in a panic as I looked at the guards, who stood as still as the dead while even the Grand Priest looked nervous when Zeno touched my hand.

“What…is this?”

“Uh, it's called a head pat. It's something that older mortals does to younger ones when they find them being cute and cuddly.”

“I am like a cute and cuddly mortal?”, Zeno asked as he patted my hand and I felt the repressed power in it while slowly nodding.

“Kind of?”, I don't even know what I was saying at this point, but whatever it was, it seemed to work as Zeno grinned and took off my hand.

“Most people feel cold when they touch me, like they're scared or they want something or they're empty inside, but you…you feel nice.”

“Thank you,” I spoke with a smile as I raised a fist to him and Zeno blinked before softly bumping his own fist against mine.

“What is that?”

“That is called a fist bump, done between friends.”

“I'm a friend?”, He asked with a look of wonder and I nodded, a bit amused as he giggled while floating to his guards with his fists up.

The two tensed as he held his fists to them before they looked at me, narrowing their eyes at my nod before I watched as they bumped their own bony fists to his.

“It appears that your disruptive personality has brought chaos to the royal palace.”

“Uh, sorry about that,” I apologized with a sheepish smile and the Grand Priest gave a smile as he nodded.

“Apology accepted. Still, there are times when balance requires an imbalance or justice requires disobedience. I believe you represent the fulcrum on which that chaos balances, a force that is dangerous yet vital.”

“…So, a walking contradiction of cosmic proportions?”

“Precisely, and one that is now fully recognized by Lord Zeno and his attendees as a true Supreme Kai,” The Grand Priest spoke with a smile as he placed a hand on my shoulder and my eyes widened as I felt something shifting in my soul.

“With that, I have unlocked your true potential. I believe the Elder Kai of your universe struggled to unlock even more than ten percent of it?”, I didn't even know that bit of information as I looked at my hands, in awe at how pure my energy felt.

After the trials that were Whis' training, it felt as if I was far more powerful than before, but now, every atom of my mind, body and soul felt as if they were all me yet not me at the same time and I looked to the Grand Priest as he smiled.

“Why?”

“If you are to be the chaotic being that justice needs on its side, we need to be sure that you are going to be able to face off against the forces that wish to disrupt said justice.”

“Huh, I think I get that. So, what now?”, I asked before blinking as he held a finger to my forehead with a smile.

“Now, we will send you back.”

“Don't forget to give him the thing, Priest!”, Zeno called out and I looked past the Grand Priest to see one of the guards giving him headpats while the other was stuck being his fist bump buddy.

“I will not, sire,” The Grand Priest answered and I raised an eyebrow as he poked my forehead before I was bewildered as I found myself staring at a panicking Beerus.

“…”

“…We're still alive~”, I spoke with a smile before a punch sent me sailing through the air, the force behind it surprising me more than the punch itself as it was not as strong as I was expecting.

'Huh, guess the Grand Priest unlocking my potential had more of an effect than I realized,' I thought as I vanished, reappearing beside Beerus who threw a punch that I blocked with a grunt.

“Seriously? What if I died?”

“Do not appear beside me like that!”, He shouted back and I rolled my eyes before looking to Whis who floated closer with a frown.

“What did my father wish to ask of you?”

“He and Zeno wanted to see if I was the perfect candidate for Supreme Kai or not?”

“And?”, Beerus asked and I raised my eyebrow while gesturing to the two of us.

“Considering the both of us are still alive, what do you think?”

“Oh, that's go-Wait, did you just say Zeno? Not Lord Zeno?”

“Oh, yeah. Zeno and I also became friends. I taught him how to fist bump and even gave him a head pat,” I spoke with a smile, watching as Beerus' eyes widened with every word and I was not surprised when the god of Destruction fell backwards and passed out.

“…Think it was too much?”, I asked as I looked to Whis, who just pointed to the side where Champa was already passed out as well as an amused Vados floated at his side while the mortal trio that came with me had shocked looks on their faces.

“Okay, it was too much.”

A/N: And with that, we end off the ascension arc. Cuu now knows his origins, he's close friends with the ruler of the multiverse and he now is stronger than he was before.

Next arc: Taking out a Demonic Magician.

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!

Honestly, I might and I might not. It depends on when I'm in the mood to write lemons which I will then write.

Ethan

Do you plan on writing a lemon for majin cuu and towa?

Asaf Montgomery

A beautiful chapter. So now Majin Cuu is almost as strong as the Strongest GoD Beerus? Considering his reflex punch didn't hurt Cuu that much, he must be far closer to his level now. Jeez, is he now near Jiren's level? Belmod? One of the GoDs? Im curious at exactly how strong he is, and how strong he would now be if he did a Kaiokem x50 or x100 now... 😁
