My Dad Is The Strongest: Ch.19

Domain Expansion: Mouth of the Underworld!/ Throne of the Thunder God!”, Darkness exploded outwards as Orochi and Killua formed their respective domains, Nanami a bit stunned and awed as he watched the young boy doing something that he himself have not yet achieved.

The sky was covered with dark clouds that rumbled with thunder, the rocky landscape of Killua's domain forming underneath their feet. However, the boy frowned as he saw the towering bones of serpents jutting from the ground and countless severed heads scattered on the ground.

Turning his gaze to Yamata no Orochi, Killua frowned as he saw the being now only having one head and being a lot smaller than before, its lower body submerged into the ground while its humanoid upper body was above surface.

Hehehe~ Thank you for opening the door for me, child. When you tried to overwrite me, I simply rewrote the story back,” The spirit hissed, grinning with delight as Killua watched its cursed energy latching onto his domain.

'A Domain Clash, huh? Fine, let's see what you got,' Killua thought as his eyes sparked, flaring his cursed energy as his domain rippled, gripping Kamutoke tightly while raising the cursed tool above his head.

With a grunt, the clouds lit up as lightning rained down from the sky, Orochi looking up right as the first bolt hit him.

The air shattered with the force of the impact as the curse screamed in pain, his charred body sent ragdolling across the landscape. Killua did not believe that was all as he narrowed his eyes before his suspicions were proved to be right when the towering bones glowed.

In that exact moment, half of the lightning was siphoned away as the rest struck Yamata no Orochi, but Killua cursed as he saw the energy from the lightning be transformed into cursed energy that was redirected back into the serpent itself.

Ceasing Kamutoke's assault, Killua watched as the serpent lifted its head with a wide grin, the charred flesh of its body peeling away to reveal new skin.

You brought the storm…but I brought the graveyard,” Orochi sneered as it slammed its palms onto the ground and sent out a quake that cracked the surface of the terrain all over.

From the cracks arose serpent-like ghosts, each hissing and howling to the skies with their fangs bared as they all looked before racing across the ground towards a frowning Nanami.

The man frowned as he spun his blunt blade before readying himself as the first serpent struck, easily moving around its attack and cutting its head off in that same movement.

The rest were easily dodged as Killua stabbed Kamutoke into the ground with a grunt, unleashing a massive pulse of lightning that Nanami leapt over while it tore through the serpent spirits with ease.

However, both sorcerers frowned as they saw even more arising from the ground, turning their gaze to Orochi who grinned as Killua took note of the shrine remnants behind the spirit that was tethering itself to the domain.

'I see. It's using the cursed energy in the barrier of the shrine to tether its life to me,' Killua thought with a frown as Nanami landed behind him, the two standing back to back as they stared at the growing group of serpents.

“We need to sever that tether. It's taking the cursed energy from my domain and adding it to his.”

“So the longer this fight goes on, the stronger he becomes,” Nanami spoke and Killua nodded with a thin smile as he saw Orochi slithering around them with a grin.

“Yeah. However, if I try to deactivate my domain, his sure-hit effect will hit us and while I'm confident in surviving the initial strike, I don't think you'd be able to.”

“No, I will not,” Killua had to admit that Nanami reminded him of Gon with his ability to be blunt no matter the situation, smiling as he nodded before spinning Kamutoke into a reverse grip.

“Good…Are you thinking what I'm thinking?”

“Unfortunately, I believe I am,” The man spoke with a sigh and Killua grinned as he hopped into the air with a spin, hopping into Nanami's back before dismissing his domain and forming a new but familiar hand sign.

Falling Blossom Emotion,” The moment his domain vanished while the Falling Blossom Emotion activated, the serpents all vanished from sight. However, Killua knew they were still there as he could feel them impacting his cursed energy and realized that they were the domain's sure-hit effect.

“You do not tell your father about this,” Nanami spoke and Killua grinned as he hold on tight as Nanami shot forward, the man's cursed energy rolling from his form.

The curse looked both gleeful and enraged as it saw Nanami charging at him while Killua kept his domain sure-hit effect at bay, reminding him far too much of the monster that had killed him.

You think a child and a weakling can replicate what the Thunder Beast did?!”, Killua was confused by Orochi's words, but he did not get more time to think about it as the spirit thrust its arms outwards.

As it did so, the shrine behind it pulsed before eight spectral serpents erupted from its remains, each slithering across the ground and through the air as Nanami simply sped up in response.

As the first two lunged down at them, Killua swung Kamutoke and unleashed precise yet potent lightning bolts, piercing through their heads and dispersing both.

Nanami zipped from side to side when the third lunged at him, twisting his body the moment it got close and cleaving straight through the weak point on its neck while Killua stabbed Kamutoke upwards and through the fourth head.

Pulling his cursed tool out while leaning back, the boy grinned as Nanami flipped over the fifth snake, aiming and unleashing another lightning bolt at the sixth snake and slicing it cleanly in half.

The two halves obscured them for a brief moment as Killua stood up, Nanami pulling his legs in as Killua hopped off before stomping the boy towards Orochi with a powerful grunt.

Cursed Technique Reversal: Thunderbolt!”, Aiming a finger at the cursed spirit, Orochi grinned as a lightning bolt in the form of a snake whistled past its head and impacted the shrine with a powerful explosion.

However, as the spirit went to gloat, its eyes widened when it noticed Killua's smirk as well as the missing Kamutoke, Nanami taking aim as he grunted and threw the Special Grade Cursed Tool at the weak point that he had made.

Ration Technique: Collapse!”, The air lit up with lightning as Nanami activated his technique, Kamutoke slicing through the air like a divine spear as the world paused.

The next moment, the combined power of both Kamutoke's cursed energy and Nanami's Ratio technique unleashed a shockwave of raw energy when the weapon impacted the shrine, lightning lashing out at everything and tearing down the domain from the inside out.

No! NO!”, Orochi shrieked as its domain began to fade away, but in its anguish over losing its domain, it ignored the true threat still left as the silver-haired lightning bolt appeared behind him with purifying white energy flowing from his right hand.

With a roar, Killua swung a fist overflowing with reversed cursed energy into Orochi's upper back, driving it out the front of the curse's chest with a thunderous crack.

“I told you,” Killua whispered as the spirit let out a painful roar, Killua's final words being the last thing it hurt as the reverse cursed energy began to eat away at its body.

“This is my domain,” Ripping his fist out while pulsing the energy outwards, Killua watched as Orochi's body disintegrated with one last hiss, letting out a soft hum as he walked forward before picking up Kamutoke from the rubble of the shrine.

“Hey, Mr. Nanami. What do I get if I don't tell Dad?”, Killua asked, to which Nanami just rolled his eyes while turning to walk back down the mountain.

“Come on~ What do you I get?”

“Nothing,” Killua just grumbled as he went to follow before stopping in his tracks, narrowing his eyes as he stared at the object on the floor.

“Hey, uh, Mr. Nanami?”

“What?”, Nanami asked before the man's eyes narrowed at the object Killua held in his hand, the boy in question simply humming as he stared at the pink demonic-looking finger with the sharp black fingernail.

However, while Nanami was focused on the finger, Killua was more focused on the marking on its knuckle, frowning at the familiar black mark that he had only seen in one place.

“I'm guessing we have to get this to Dad, right?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“You were right. It's the same mark,” Killua just nodded from where he was sitting in front of his dad's desk as the man stared at the finger in his hands, Nanami looking a bit out of loop at what the two were talking about.

“May I ask what we're discussing?”

“Almost a year ago, my mother fell into a coma that is unexplained by both the regular doctors as well as my father and Shoko. The thing that we think caused said coma is believed to be the marking on her forehead and that same marking is on the back of the Sukuna finger's second knuckle.”

“That and I have only seen this marking on the foreheads of all those who fell into the same coma and at the same time,” Satoru continued and Nanami frowned as he looked at his fellow sorcerer behind the desk.

“How many?”

“About a thousand of them.”

“And you did not report this to the higher-ups?”

“No, I do not trust them with this. That's why I said nothing and I do not want them to learn about this,” Satoru spoke as he looked to Nanami, who took note of the man's tone before nodding.

“It is none of my business. However, I must ask that you put that finger into the custody of the higher-ups.”

“I'll take that into consideration, buddy!”, Satoru spoke with a happy smile as he placed the finger in his desk's drawer, Killua just smiling amusedly as Nanami sighed.

“Must you be so nonchalant about this? That is a Special Grade Cursed Object.”

“And I'm the Strongest~ No one will take it. Now, how was the mission with Nanami, Killua?”

“Pretty fun. The guy's a lot more competent than you are.”

“What?! I'm far stronger than he is~”, Satoru whined, Killua just rolling his eyes as Nanami shook his head.

“Yeah, but he doesn't shout that he's the strongest with every spirit that he takes out,” Killua answered with a shrug, not surprised to see his dad sulking while Nanami simply rolled his eyes.

“Anyway, I know the others are probably mad that I left for a mission that was ordered by Kyoto.”

“They are not, to be truthful, especially since I said it was a personal request from me,” Satoru answered and Killua just hummed as he stood up before bowing his head to Nanami.

“Mr. Nanami, it has been a pleasure to work with you.”

“The same to you, Killua. You're not as irritating as he is.”

“Believe me, I try my best.”

“Why do I feel like I shouldn't have introduced you two to each other?”, Satoru spoke with a frown, huffing as his son just grinned before leaving the room with a whistle.

“He's a lot more carefree than I remember you telling us you being in your earlier years,” Nanami spoke and Satoru smiled as he leaned back in his seat and nodded.

“Yeah, it's probably because his mom raised him instead of him being raised by the elders of the clan.”

“Were you the one who taught him Domain Expansion?”

“Ah, no. Unfortunately, that is not a product of his training under me and is something he achieved on his own,” Satoru spoke with a shrug and Nanami just nodded as he turned his gaze back to the door.

It appears that there might be hope for the future generations, after all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Since when do you do missions for Tokyo?”, Mai asked the instant Killua walked into their dorms, the boy just raising an eyebrow as he waved to the others before turning back to the girl.

“Since when do you care about me doing missions? Hah! Did you miss me~?”

“No!”

“She did. Would not stop talking about where you are and whether or not you'd be able to handle the threats without her,” While Mai denied it, Miwa unfortunately spoke up from the background and Killua grinned as the teen slowly turned her glare to the blue-haired girl.

“O-Oh? W-Were…were we not supposed to say that?”, Miwa whispered to Mechamaru, giving a nervous and sheepish smile as the robot simply nodded.

We were not.”

“Eh, I'm happy you missed me at lea-Where is Todo?”, Killua asked the important question as he looked around for the gorilla, shaking his head as everyone just shrugged.

“He was here a few minutes ago, but then he disappeared off to who-knows-where. Perhaps another of 'Takada-chan's' concerts.”

“There are no Takada-chan concerts happening this month. The next one is only in November,” Todo spoke up as he entered the room and they all raised an eyebrow at the guy sipping on a cup of steaming tea.

“You actually drink tea?”, Killua asked and Todo gave a nod with a pleased smile as he sat down on one of the beanbags in the dorm room.

“A warrior must train not only the body, but also soothe the soul. Today's blend is jasmine and ginseng.”

“You scare us with every passing day,” Noritoshi muttered, to which Todo simply shrugged as he took another sip.

“So, if there was no concert, where were you?”

“Out and about in deep contemplation about my position in this world where we do Jujutsu Kaisen.”

“…Anyone understand what he said?”, Killua asked, not surprised to see the others shaking their head as Momo just sighed.

“Todo, we all don't understand the wisdom that flows in your mind. Elaborate, please.”

“I had a vision. I was meditating in the forest behind the dorms when Takada-chan's voice echoed in my mind. She told me, 'True friendship is forged not in battle, but in understand!' And then!”, Killua found himself a bit entertained as Todo stood up dramatically, Mechamaru easily catching the cup the older student threw with a sigh.

“I saw a shadow. A curse. A mark.”

“And what does the mark look like?”

“It was a skull with what appeared to be stitching across the forehead and this mark,” As he spoke, Todo pulled out a page before opening it, Killua freezing as he saw the familiar mark that was on the foreheads of the coma patients.

“…Todo, where did you see that?”

“Like I said, in the forest behind the dorm-!”

“Dad, pick up!”, Killua whispered as he hopped up and began walking back, confusing the Kyoto students as they all stood up and followed after him.

Hello~ You've reached Sat-!”

“Dad, no time for your antics! I just found another spot where the marking is and it's in the Tokyo campus!”, Killua cut off Satoru as he spoke, silence coming from the other side of the line before the boy heard the serious voice of his dad.

Meet me at the entrance.”

“Got it.”

“Killua, what's going on?”, Mai asked as they followed after the boy and Killua frowned as he began to jog towards the entrance of the campus.

“Todo just found something that Dad and I believe is something caused by a Special Grade curse.”

“… And you all said that my meditation was useless.”

A/N: And just like that, canon is beginning to turn upon its head as more and more of a certain stitched individual's plan is revealed bit by bit.

What will this mean for the rest of the canon? Who knows, but let's find out in the next one.
