44)Perfection? Not For Me: Ch.44
Added 2025-05-01 17:12:29 +0000 UTC“What the hell?!”, I exclaimed as I split myself in half when she swung down, her ki blade barely missing me before I reformed myself around her. She strained to move as my gum wrapped around her, cocooning her and leaving only her head exposed as I stretched out mine and met her gaze.
“Alright, are you calm now?!”, I asked and was not surprised when she glared at me with nothing but anger and resentment in her eyes.
“No! You killed me!”
“Well, last I checked, I didn't absorb and/ or kill a hot lady that looks like a better version of the Supreme Kai!”, I shouted back and even as she blushed slightly, she quickly shook it away before my eyes widened as she tore me off.
“Yes, you did! I am the West Supreme Kai and you killed me when you were Majin Buu!”
“No, Majin Buu killed you! I am Majin Cuu!”
“No, you're both Majin Buu and Majib Cuu because the two of you fused together!”, I just looked at her from where I was lying in a puddle of goo before I reformed my body, stretching it back into a standing position.
“Okay, looks like we got off on the wrong foot here so let me start over. Hi, I'm Majin Cuu. I was formerly known by the names Cell and Perfect Cell before a fun little accident of absorption resulted in me, the Grand Supreme Kai and Buu becoming this! I'm not Buu but also not kinda Buu and the same with Cell and Shin-no. Fusion stuff, you know? It's a very complicated process. Now, what's your name?”
“You are a very weird individual,” She spoke with a raised eyebrow and I chuckled and nodded.
“Thank you. I get that a lot.”
“Shiar, the West Supreme Kai and aide to the Grand Supreme Kai, though I guess it's former aide now since I died.”
“Well, the Grand Surpeme Kai died too, so you're not alone,” I spoke with a smile before shaking my head as she turned a glare towards me.
“That is not comforting especially since a part of you devoured and killed him”
“Well, considering I also have the Grand Supreme Kai in me, doesn't that mean that you're also my aide?”
“I will kill you,” She spoke flatly and I grinned before shrugging.
“You'll have to get in line. I've already got someone sending assassins after me,” She just scowled at my words and crossed her arms with a huff, but the hostility was gone for the most part.
Instead, she just stayed quiet with a glare which gave me the opportunity to look around.
'Hmm, this kind of looks like a mindscape? Maybe?', I was a bit confused as I saw nothing but a grey-white mist rippled around us like a fog and looking up at the sky revealed thousands of threads that each contained god ki.
However, it did not feel anything like my energy and felt more like hers, making me hum as I glanced at her to see her looking longingly up at the strands as well.
“So,” I began, folding my arms and drawing her attention as I smirked. “Now that we've gotten the 'you hate me' part out of the way…how the hell are you here? Buu absorbed you last I checked.”
“Yes, but unlike the others, I had half my body blown away when he absorbed me so he mostly stole my energy. I don't even know how I got here. All I remember was dying and then waking up with your memories flashing through my mind.”
“What memories, specifically?”, I asked, hoping that she was not talking about the memories that I was thinking about.
“Some memories of you, Buu and Shin-no fighting and then memories of you facing off against Mechikabura and Demigra, which was a shock to see.”
“Since you guys are too weak to go up against them?”, I asked, raising an eyebrow as she didn't answer and simply narrowed her eyes.
“Hey, it's just the truth. You don't have to be mad at me about it.”
“Anyway, after I woke up, I tried to get my ki back and I did, but I am far weaker than I was before my death as my ki is up above and I can't fly up to get it.”
“Well, from what I'm hearing, you're probably a leftover fragment of your soul that got most likely reawakened after I absorbed either Demigra or Mechikabura. You might have also absorbed some of their personality too which is why you tried to kill me.”
“Are you trying to call me aggressive?”, She asked while narrowing her eyes further and I rolled mine while looking up at the ki above.
“I said that you might have absorbed some of their characteristics, not that you are.”
“…So, are you saying that I'm not…alive in some way?”, I frowned at her question as I could feel her ki.
“Your ki feels stable, but it also feels fragmented. I think you are the West Supreme Kai, but you could also be a fragment of what's left of her. A shadow of your former self, one could say.”
“…I see. I suppose I should thank you in some way for awakening me from that state of stillness,” She spoke and I chuckled before shrugging.
“Hey, don't thank me yet. I might try to absorb you again.”
“I swear, if you even try-!”
“I'm kidding, Shiar. Jeez, one would think you Kais have a sense of humour,” I spoke, smiling as she just stared at me with a disgruntled frown before I looked back at the ki.
“So, that must be what's left of your ki? No, I still have access to the other Kais' memories, but yours are blocked off from me. …Ah, I get it,” I murmured, drawing her attention as I raised a hand upwards.
Immediately, she looked shocked as the strands travelled down, but not to me. Instead, they all began to wrap around her, Shiar looking a hit hesitant as they were all loosely around her before I spoke.
“Shiar, would you like to be alive again?”
“…What?”, She sounded both bewildered and confused as I sighed and spoke.
“I think your mind wants a new body to be alive again and as the new Supreme Kai, I can do that. However, I won't do it for free. I think if I do this, I lose not only your memories, but also the boost your power gave me. That is something that makes this very hard to say yes to.”
“Are you blackmailing me?”, She asked and I smiled as I simply let the threads begin to tighten around her body.
“No, this is simply an exchange here. I give you a new body and in exchange…I want you to be my aide just like how you were with the Grand Supreme Kai.”
“…And if I say no?”
“I'll just absorb your memories and power again and leave you in my soul,” I answered with a shrug, to which she just looked at me before speaking
“You are a greedy and sinful being.”
“I'm a mortal first and a divine second. It's to be expected,” I said, grinning as she gave a slight smile before nodding with an exhale.
“Very well. I, Shiar the West Supreme Kai, hereby vow to be your aide until you deem me to no longer be worthy of the honour,” She spoke with a bow and I smiled before snapping my fingers.
As I did so, the strands immediately tightened around her and wrapped her up like a cocoon, taking a deep breath before I pulled on my energy and began to imagine her in my mind.
With every breath, I began to mould my ki in front of me, shaping a new vessel from my divine essence and her memory fragments. Every detail I could remember of her, I etched into the swirling form of energy, from her golden irises to the regal mannerisms she had.
However, with every second that passed, I felt my breathing growing heavier as something began to draw my energy away, forcing me to push more and more energy out as her cocoon pulsed gently like a beating heart.
Unlike the usual for a Supreme Kai where they just make billions of mortals with ease, I was recreating the body of a divine being of equal status and reforming the fragment of said divine being's soul into a full soul itself.
This wasn't just resurrection. No, this…
'This is art,' I thought before I gasped as I felt her energy being torn from my being, cutting through my already diminishing reserves like a ravenous beast, but I forced myself through the pain as I did the final steps.
The form inside the cocoon began to glow as she began to tear herself out, her ki flaring and merging with the threads before the cocoon burst apart with a burst of energy.
“W-Wow~”, Shiar sounded amazed as she stood there, looking at her body in awe as I nodded
“This should not be possible.”
“Hey, I was made a god by Shin. A messed-up, patchwork god, but a god nonetheless. I should at least be able to live up to the title.”
“I will remember this for as long as I live, Lord Cuu,” Her using a title made me blink as I watched her give a small but genuine smile.
“Lord?”
“You resurrected a Kai and shaped a body that contains and produces god ki. It would rude of me to call you otherwise.”
“Okay, then, but I'm still calling you Shiar. West Supreme Kai has just too many syllables for me,” I answered and she just smiled before I watched as the mindscape faded away, the Sacred World of the Kais slowly becoming visible along with the shocked trio of Kais along with Towa who was staring at Shiar with narrowed eyes.
“Oh, hey. I assume the ritual went well?”, I asked as I looked at the Old Kai, who just stared back before I snorted as the divine being passed out, Shin and Kibito doing the same just seconds later while Towa walked up to us.
For some reason, I felt a bit of tension in the air as the demoness stopped in front of the divine being, both being eye-level with each other and giving off some strong pressure before I blinked as Towa smirked.
“I like you.”
“I don't like you.”
“Too bad. I'm the consort of your Lord Supreme Kai, which means I'm your Lady. Now, if you are nice, I might allow him to take you as a concubine.”
“C-C-Concubine?!”, Shiar stuttered with a red face and I decided to just let them have it as I turned and began to walk away.
Yep, not my business right there.
“Hey, Cuu! Cuu! Are you sure this is working?”
“Of course it is, Kakarot! You are simply not using it! Cuu! Are you there?”
“At least be nice about it, Vegeta.”
“Do not tell me to be nice!”
'Huh, was wondering when they'd call?', I thought with a smirk as I heard Vegeta and Goku calling for me before shaking my head as the two began to argue.
“I'm here, you two. What do you want?”, I asked while activating my Divine Sight, my vision zooming across lightyears upon lightyears before I finally found myself staring at the two Saiyans floating above the Capsule Corp.
“Oh, hey man! We thought you weren't there.”
“I was. It was just more fun to watch you two argue,” I answered, smirking as I saw Vegeta glaring up at the sky while Goku snickered.
“Anyway, we were wondering if we could do that training now.”
“What training?”
“You know, that training to be a god.”
“…Shouldn't you be asking Whis, then? I think he'd be a better teacher about god ki than I would be.”
“Yeah, but uh…we kind of have no way to contact him,” Goku answered with a sheepish smile and I raised an eyebrow before looking to Bulma to see the intergalactic communicator on her desk.
“Well, then I'll connect you to him. Lord Whis, are you there?”
“I am indeed, Lord Cuu, but I must ask that you do not start depending on calling to me whenever you have a problem. I'm sure your advisors would know more about being a Supreme Kai than an Angel such as I,” Whis spoke with a joyful tone and I turned my gaze to Beerus' planet only to not be surprised as the Angel looked directly at me.
I even went so far as to turn my gaze to look at him through any reflective surface I could find, but it appears that Ultra Instinct was more powerful than I was expecting as he turned and looked at me in every surface I could look through.
“I want to learn that,” I spoke with a grin, to which he simply giggled before I rolled my eyes as Goku spoke up.
“Hey, Mr. Whis.”
“Hello to you, Goku, and I assume Vegeta is there as well?”
“I am.”
“Wait, how come you're talking nicely to Whis, but shouting at me?”
“Because he's the personal aide to a god of destruction that could destroy Earth if he so chooses to.”
“And I'm a Supreme Kai, essentially Beerus' other half as the god of creation,” I answered, watching as both stayed silent before Vegeta scoffed as Goku shook his head.
“You expect us to believe that?”
“I must inform you, Vegeta, that Lord Cuu is indeed speaking the truth. As of yesterday in your Earth's time, he is now the god of creation and Supreme Kai of Universe 7.”
“…Cuu, do you really have nothing else to do with your time other than showing us up?”, Goku asked and I chuckled, drawing the two arguing ladies' attention before I waved my hand with a smile.
“Not particularly, to be honest. Anyway, back to our discussion. Lord Whis, would it be possible for Goku and Vegeta to learn how to create, absorb and/ or use god ki? I would volunteer, but I never actually learned it myself. Actually, would it be possible for me to learn from you as well?”
“In exchange for…?”
“An all-you-can-eat ramen buffet on Earth the next time we're there,” I answered, watching as he looked at me with a smirk before pumping a fist into the air as he nodded.
“That sounds quite delicious. Very well, I look forward to that. I assume you will get both Goku and Vegeta.”
“Indeed I do and I thank you for this opportunity, Lord Whis.”
“Ufufufu~ It is my pleasure, Lord Cuu. I shall see you all shortly,” He spoke before cutting off the telepathic link and I grinned as I looked back to see Vegeta's grin of anticipation and Goku's excited shivers.
“Oh man, training with two divine beings? This is going to be awesome, right Vegeta?”
“You may be right on that, Kakarot.”
“Before I come get you, you should probably go and tell your wives you're going to be gone for a while,” I spoke, laughing as both men paled before Goku shot across the sky while Vegeta floated back down to the ground.
Yep, thought that would be the case.
“What are you smiling so much about?”, Towa asked as I finally tuned back to the Sacred World to see both her and Shiar raising an eyebrow at me with their arms crossed.
“Oh, I was just talking to Lord Whis and asking if it would be possible for me to train under him.”
“Does that mean you're leaving soon?”, She asked and I nodded before a thought came to mind.
“Yes and I was wondering if Glorio would like to have some bonding time and come with?”
“N-!”
“That would be lovely~!! Glorio sweetie, enjoy your bonding day~”, Towa cut him off before he could speak and I grinned as Glorio just glared at me before walking over with an exhausted sigh.
“Hey, at least this way, you don't have to stay here and be caught between your mother, Panzy and Shiar,” I whispered and all of a sudden, he didn't look too upset to come along while Towa narrowed her eyes.
“I heard that.”
“I know.”
“…You're lucky I love you.”
“Love you too, dear,” I answered back and she giggled as she walked over, wrapping her arms around me for a hug before laying a soft kiss on my lips.
“Mwah! You want a hug too, Glorio?”
“No thank you,” He answered instantly, making her narrow her eyes before I placed a hand on his shoulder and teleported the both of us to Earth before she could force him.
“Bye~!”, She spoke happily as she appeared in front of us, kissing his forehead before vanishing as I blinked while he slowly turned his eyes to me.
“In all honesty, I didn't know she could do that.”
“…Let's just get this over with,” He muttered and I chuckled as I ruffled his hair before the two of us walked towards the Capsule Corps building in front of us.
Time to see if a Kai can't learn some new tricks.
A/N: And here we are with Cuu and his stepson going on to train with Goku and Vegeta under the Angel himself. Will he learn some new things? Will he master some old stuff? We'll have to wait and see.
Next chapter: The way to Enlightenment.
Also, sorry for the late upload. Had a late meeting and it's my best friend's birthday so I had to be there for the party. It was a small one and thankfully, he's not a drinker so it was only milkshakes and burgers.
Also and this is just going to be another rant, I hate the new Patreon feature that lets everyone see a post in full not only on new chapter but also the old ones unless you uncheck it. It's a really irritating one to me.
As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
Ba-Bye~!!
Comments
Loved the chapter a lot~! Classic Elder Kai, passing out when he sees a Supreme Kai hottie like Shiar~ get on her level, Chronoa! Heh. I think Elder Kai was sealed before she was even around, right? So no wonder he's surprised by Shiar. And now we get some much needed training with Whis.
