Lightning Beast Running Jutsu!

Electricity sparked around Kakashi's hands as he swung both down, unleashing a lightning bolt in the form of a howling wolf that charged at the dozen Akatsuki members.

“Now!”, Kakashi called out as he rushed in, Sasuke nodding as he and the rest of Team 7 quickly pulled Shibuki and his guards away to the village.

The electricity around his hands quickly wrapped around his kunai as Kakashi met his first opponent, ducking under their hurried punch before stabbing deep into their chest.

A flurry of stabs from each kunai finished the job within seconds, the last piercing clean through their skull before the jounin moved on.

Hopping to the side to dodge a swing at his neck, Kakashi wrapped a leg around the attacker's leg before ducking down, rolling forward and snapping their knee inwards before stabbing into their spine with a kunai.

Rolling to the side to dodge an axe kick, Kakashi spun to his feet and sliced open the throat of his next opponent, leaping through the air with a corkscrew before throwing his kunai into the chest of the man with the shattered knee.

Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!

Pulling a pair of shuriken from his pouch, Kakashi threw the shuriken with one hand while making hand signs with the other, forcing a few of them back and landing shallow cuts on the rest.

Spinning his kunai into a reverse grip, Kakashi rushed in right as Suien did the same, the rogue shinobi pulling water from the air and wrapping it around his kunai in the form of a blade.

With a grunt, both men clashed and slid past each other, Kakashi quickly spinning around right as Suien did the same before both men stabbed at each other.

Kakashi grunted as he pushed the man's wrist to the side, aiming a slash at Suien's stomach that the man dodged before the Jounin leapt and wrapped his legs around Suien's arm.

Falling while pulling the Jounin with him, the Hatake swung at the man's neck only for Suien to block the strike with a growl, pushing his chest up and forcing the Jounin up just enough for him to slip out.

Water Style: Tearing Torrent!

Earth Style: Earth Wall!

Both fighters didn't waste any time as they weaved through hand signs, Kakashi stomping on the ground and raising up a sturdy rock wall right as Suien gathered water all around him and unleashed a raging torrent at the wall.

Thankfully, the wall held steady against the water trying to knock it down, but Kakashi didn't rest as he hopped back right as six of the Akatsuki shinobi hopped over the wall to attack him.

'Crap, there are too many,' He thought with a frown as he saw the remaining three rush past him towards the village, hoping that his team was ready as the six along with Suien attacked him.

Kakashi pulled out another kunai to use as the seven attackers rushed at him from all sides, his Sharingan spinning rapidly and reading their movements before they could even make them.

The first came in low aiming at his legs, but the Jounin leapt over with a twist before planting a kunai straight into the man's back. Kicking off the corpse to launch himself into a midair somersault, Kakashi rushed through hand signs as two leapt up at him.

Lightning Style: Thunder Needle!

Flicking his wrist, multiple thin bolts of lightning shot outwards and pierced through the two's shoulders and thighs, making both fighters cry out as the sharp darts staggered them.

'Can't let him get near!', Kakashi thought with a frown as he saw Suien rushing in through the chaos, landing in a crouch before springing to the side as the man swung down.

Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!

Kakashi was not idle as he spat a barrage of fireballs at the other opponents, watching as they all spat out a water bullet to put out the fire only to smirk as they all caught a shuriken to the neck.

Suien looked irritated as he was the only one still standing, Kakashi rolling to his feet with a nonchalant look in his eyes and his kunai still sparking with electricity.

“Looks like you're the last one remaining,” Kakashi said coolly as the two began to circle each other, Suien sneering as he made a Ram Handsign and the water on the ground began to swirl around his body.

Water Style: Water Armour Jutsu

Takigakure Style: Watercutting Sword

It was not just the water taking the rough shape of armour around his body as the water around his kunai began to speed up as well, Kakashi simply responding by lowering himself into his own stance.

The next moment, sparks flew as both men shot forward, clashing with a flurry of steel, water and lightning.

Kakashi parried a downwards slash while twisting his body to the side, letting the water blade skim past him before countering with a sharp stab at Suien's ribs.

The rogue Jounin didn't stop it as he let the Water Armour deflect the blow off to the side, grunting a bit at the electricity striking his side before snarling and shoulder-checking Kakashi backwards.

Retaliating with a horizontal slash, Kakashi ducked under the blade as Suien spun with the momentum of his slash and aimed a low spinning kick at the Leaf Jounin's head.

With a frown, Kakashi blocked the attack with his forearm, skidding back a few feet before lightning crackled from his kunai and he rushed back in.

Thrusting his Watercutting Sword forward, Kakashi stepped to the side, grabbing his wrist and pulling him past while delivering a vicious elbow to the man's chest.

The Water Armour did absorb most of the impact, but Suien still gasped as the impact staggered him backwards, Kakashi forced to let go of the man's wrist when he felt it ripple.

As he did, the armour exploded outwards in the shape of numerous tendrils ending in jagged needles, flipping through the air with a spin and barely avoiding some that got close enough to his body.

Lightning Style: Lightning Clone!

With a puff of smoke that hid the sharp crackle, a clone of Kakashi shot forward with electricity surging to its hand and Suien growled as he charged forward, a tendril shooting forward and stabbing through its chest.

However, his eyes widened as the clone detonated with a violent surge of electricity, electrocuting the rogue shinobi and causing the Water armour to fall off.

Lightning Blade!

With blistering speed, Kakashi was gone and right in front of Suien, the last thing the rogue shinobi saw being the cold look in Kakashi's eyes before he got a lightning blade through the heart.

Unfortunately, Suien just grinned before he fell apart, Kakashi's eyes widening as the water clone sunk into the ground before he spun around as he saw a large explosion of water and flames.

'Shit!'

“Alright, everyone! I'm going to need you all to follow me to a safer location! Help anyone who can't move and make sure everyone gets out!”, Shibuki exclaimed as he helped an elderly woman up, his guards along with a few shinobi helping the civilians get out.

“You guys, too! Come on!”

“No, you guys need to make sure you get out now,” Sakura spoke and Shibuki frowned as he saw the determination in he reyes.

“But-!”

“No, your people need you right now. We'll hold them back,” Sasuke cut the man off as he tightened his headband, both Sakura and Karin taking out a kunai each as Shibuki hesitated before nodding.

“Very well, but I'll return once I've gotten everyone away from the combat,” He spoke before calling for his citizens to follow him, Team 7 ignoring the group being escorted away as Sasuke activated his Sharingan.

“We've got three incoming. Chakra feels on the same level as a Chunin,” Karin called out as she activated her sensory ability and Sasuke frowned as he saw the three figures rushing towards them.

“Hisame, take out the two girls. Kirisame, help with the Uchiha,”

“Got it,” The young kunoichi with the short brown hair spoke with a sadistic smile as she rushed in, Sakura's eyes widening as she quickly raised her arms and barely blocked the dropkick.

The force behind it, though, was still enough to sent her flying before the woman rushed after her, Karin's eyes wide as she turned before looking to Sasuke who spoke.

“Karin, go! I can handle these two,” The Uzumaki wanted to disagree, but she frowned as she saw the stubborn look in Sasuke's Sharingan before nodding and rushing after Sakura and the woman.

The Uchiha did not move his gaze from his foes who were beginning to circle him, each making a Ram handsign before they gathered the moisture in the air and created water swords.

“You have a lot of nerve thinking you can take us on, Uchiha,” Sasuke watched as Kirisame sneered, but he did not forget to keep an eye on the one who had issued the orders.

The muscular man wore the same Akatsuki cloak as Itachi did with grey hair that was spiky at the top and a teal line marking over his nose that reminded Sasuke of Iruka's scar.

“We'll see about that,” Sasuke answered with a smirk as he readied himself, hearing Kirisame letting out a growl of frustration before the Uchiha decided to act first.

Vanishing with a burst of speed and chakra, he easily tracked the trajectory of the leader's whip, slicing through it with one kunai before throwing the second at the man.

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

Without wasting a second, the Uchiha spun around right as Kirisame rushed in from the side, taking a deep breath before blowing out a massive fireball that shot forward at blinding speeds.

Water Style: Water Clone!

Kirisame was just as quick as he created a Water Clone that grabbed him and threw him to the side, the fireball impacting the clone with a devastating explosion.

Water Style: Water Whip!

Creating another water whip on his free hand, Kirisame lashed out with both whips, Sasuke sidestepping the first strike and parrying the second strike with his kunai before ducking as Murasame tried to hit another whip at his head from behind.

Spinning around and parrying the man's left punch to his chest, Sasuke kicked high before hopping into the air with a spin, jumping over Kirisame's sweeping kick and lashing out with a split kick that knocked both men backwards.

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

With a deep breath, Sasuke spat out a torrent of flames while spinning, unleashing a wave of fire in all directions that both Kirisame and Murasame barely managed to block with their water whips.

Takigakure Style: Watercutting Sword!

Both rogue shinobi did not waste time talking as they both took out a kunai and created water blades that rotated violently around the blades. Sasuke's eyes allowing him to see their movements before Murasame rushed forward.

The Uchiha moved to the left to narrowly dodge the slash, but Murasame easily adjusted as he let the kunai drop before catching the blade with his left hand.

Slashing upwards at the Uchiha, Sasuke blocked the strike while hopping with it, the force of their clash sending him flipping backwards through the air right as Kirisame rushed in from the side.

Water Style: Rapid Thunder Whip Jutsu!

This time, the spinning water blade grew out and took the form of a whip with a jagged end before Sasuke frowned as he saw the lightning chakra being channelled through the whip.

The first swing at his legs when he landed was barely dodged as Sasuke hopped back, flipping through the air with a corkscrew to dodge the following swings before his eyes widened as Murasame rushed in with his Watercutting Blade at his chest.

Right as he felt the blade touching his shirt, he felt the ground under his feet and immediately dropped to the side, managing to get out of the way with only a shallow cut along his left side.

Chidori

Three hand signs brought the sparking jutsu to his hand and Sasuke's Sharingan blazed as he rushed in, Murasame's eyes widening as he dodged to the side only to watch as Sasuke rushed past him.

Holding the Chidori in front of him as Kirisame hurriedly swung his Thunder Whip at him, Sasuke was not surprised when he easily cut through the whip and sped up.

“W-Wait! I can-!”

“Die,” Sasuke didn't care for what the shinobi had to say as he appeared besides him, the Chidori sparking as it stabbed through the man's chest before Sasuke ripped the jutsu out and spun around.

With newfound energy, Sasuke rushed forward as Murasame weaved through hand signs and three Water Clones besides him.

Fire Style: Phoenix Fire Jutsu!

The flurry of fireballs shot from his mouth right as Murasame's clones hopped in front of them, blocking the blast right before both fighters charged through the steam and clashed.

Sasuke's Sharingan was working in overdrive as he tracked every movement of his foe, Murasame showing his prowess with the blade as the two danced across the burning landscape.

Dodging nimbly backwards as the blade almost cut his stomach open, Sasuke channelled chakra to his feet as he landed and rushed in, leaving afterimages in his wake while closing the distance.

Before Murasame could process it, the Uchiha was already in his personal space, reaching up and grabbing the older fighter's wrist before following up with a devastating kick to the man's stomach.

The blow sent Murasame spiralling through the air before he crashed into the ground, staggering to his feet right in time to see Sasuke in front of him with electricity sparking around his hand.

“Chidori,” The words sounded quiet as his hand passed through the man's chest, blood spurting from Murasame's lips as the life vanished from his eyes before the Uchiha could even pull his bloody hand out.

'Hah…that's two,' Sasuke thought with a pleased smile as he stepped backwards, looking at the two bodies before spinning around with wide eyes as a deep voice spoke from behind him.

“Hmm, it appears I'll have to inform Lord Itachi that his brother was better than he reported,” Sasuke glared at Suien who was standing on the lake, his arms crossed with an amused and sadistic smile on his face.

“Don't worry. I'll tell him myself after I kill you,” Sasuke spoke as he weaved through hand signs and the man just laughed as he made a single hand sign.

“Very well. Then, let's see if you can.”

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

Water Style: Water Wall!

Sakura gasped as she was sent skipping across the lake, barely able to flip over to her feet and stand on the water right as she saw the woman, Hisame, skating towards her.

“Not bad, little miss,” Hisame spoke with a mocking smile, skating gracefully on the water while twirling a pair of senbon in her hands. “But you're not fast enough to keep up with me.”

Sakura frowned as she saw the woman stop, channelling chakra to her body right as Hisame rushed in with a vicious slash at her face.

The pink-haired girl barely managed to deflect the blow with her kunai even as she skidded backwards from the force of it, quickly regaining her footing as Hisame came in with a downwards strike.

“You're too slow!”, Hisame taunted as her attack was parried to the side, spinning and lashing out with a kick to her side that Sakura dodged by hopping backwards.

Hisame was not done though as she dashed forward, aiming a stab at Sakura's exposed side before Sakura looked up as Karin appeared behind Hisame with a kunai raised high.

The kunoichi quickly noticed her gaze and spun around, delivering a roundhouse that Karin ducked under before tackling the woman to the ground right as another Karin shot up from the water and tackled Sakura backwards.

“Boom!”, The Karin holding onto Hisame exclaimed right as the woman kicked her away, detonating with a powerful explosion that sent Hisame flying across the water.

However, that was not enough to beat the kunoichi as she quickly flipped to her feet, glaring at Sakura and Karin as the two Genin stood up and glared back at her.

“So, you think you can keep up with your friend here?”, She asked, cracking her neck as her clothes and parts of the skin on her arm had been burned slightly by the explosion before she smirked. “Good, it wouldn't be any fun if you died too easily.”

“We're just getting started here,” Karin spoke as she adjusted her glasses with a smirk and Sakura nodded as both Genin channelled their chakra through their body.

With an abrupt burst of speed, Hisame rushed in as both Karin and Sakura split up, wanting to force a kunoichi to make a choice only for Hisame to grin as she turned and darted for Karin.

Launching a barrage of senbon at the Uzumaki, Karin parried them all with burst of chakra as Sakura rushed in after Hisame, who twisted around and delivered a brutal kick to Sakura's midsection.

Sakura crossed her arms to block the attack, but the force made her gasp as she felt her bones cracking, Karin rushing back in and leaping through the air with a spin.

With a growl, Karin brought her leg down with a powerful axe kick that Hisame blocked with a grin and that gave Sakura an opening as she twisted and lashed out with her own high kick to the woman's face.

“Don't let her control the fight!”, Karin exclaimed as she flipped backwards and landed, Sakura nodding as both kunoichi steadied themselves before continuing their attack.

Sakura lunged in first, feinting a right slash with her kunai before aiming a punch at Hisame's wrist as Karin came in from the other side with a slash of her own, forcing Hisame to block Sakura's kunai with one senbon while deflecting Karin's upwards.

Kicking outwards and pushing Sakura back, the water rippled as Hisame spun and stabbed downwards at Karin, the Uzumaki narrowly dodging the attack before grabbing her wrist and slashing at her neck.

Sakura rushed in with rapid swings and stabs that Hisame easily dodged, blocking and parrying Karin's precise slashes before the woman snarled as Sakura grabbed her wrist and pulled her in while Karin hopped over her back and delivered a powerful knee strike to her nose.

Sending her staggering back, both girls rushed in before Hisame caught herself, weaving through hand signs while stomping down onto the water.

Water Style: Water Wall!

The Genin stopped as the water shot upwards, the water wall blocking Hisame from them as the older kunoichi snapped her nose back into place with a smirk before nodding.

Water Style: Rapid Thunder Whip Jutsu!

Her hands went through hand signs with a blur before the water wall wrapped around her two fingers, lightning chakra sparking along its edges as the woman spun and swung the whip at them.

Karin stepped to the side while Sakura ducked low, rushing across the surface before hopping to the side as Hisame swung her whip down.

Demonic Illusion: Death Mirage Jutsu

Sakura's chakra latched on Hisame's right as the world around her warped, the older kunoichi immediately recognizing the genjutsu as she dispersed the chakra and caught Karin's punch to her face.

“What?!”, Karin looked surprised before gagging as Hisame delivered a vicious knee to her chest, spinning around and throwing the Genin at her teammate.

As Sakura caught Karin with a surprised look, the Genin was not given a moment to rest when she got a snap kick to the face, sending her flying across the lake and onto the land in the centre of the lake.

“You actually thought you were good enough to beat me?”, Hisame asked with a smirk as she lifted Karin up by the neck, watching as the Uzumaki gasped for air before giving a mocking smile.

“No…I just needed to distract you…”

“Rasengan!”, Hisame's eyes widened as both Sakura and Karin popped with puffs of smoke, spinning around just in time for Karin to slam the maelstrom of chakra into her chest.

“Fuck you!”, Karin exclaimed as she continued to push forward before the chakra exploded, sending Hisame's body ragdolling through the air with a violent spiral as her chest was blown open.

“Holy shit…that is vicious,” Sakura whispered in awe and slight disgust as she saw the woman's lungs and heartbeat slowly stopping, watching the body crash onto the centre landmass before turning to Karin who grinned.

“Think we got her?”, Karin asked as she walked over to the land, Sakura just nodding as her teammate held out a hand and helped her up to her feet.

“I think you did. We should probably go help Sasuke, right?”, Sakura asked before the two turned as they saw water and fire exploding high up from the village.

“Yeah, we probably should…Race you there!”

A/N: Early update because I finished work early today~ Yay~~!

And like I said, I'm going to show-off Team 7's prowess before we hop into the main main villain of this arc which is where Team Shizune comes in.

And no, it's not another member of the Akatsuki. It is Suien, but with a slight…improvement.

Also, the reason Kakashi took that long to take out Suien's water clone, that contains only a tenth of his strenght, was because he was trying to preserve his chakra, which is why he used so many weak jutsu at the start and the Clone-Lightning Blade combo to finish them off.
