Devilish Gaming: Ch.34

The street exploded as Chad swung the Brazo Derecha el Gigante, connecting with Koga's axe and making the man grunt as the force from the punch shook his arms slightly.

Gritting his teeth as he tried to push forward, Chad's arm was strained before he caught himself as Koga abruptly pulled back, ducking under the swing at his head while also tanking the knee to his shoulder.

Rolling with the knee attack, the Brazo Derecha el Gigante shifted into its defence form and helped the teen block the downwards strike. Koga growled as he continued to keep pushing down, but he frowned as Chad kept the attack at bay before his eyes widened as he heard spiritual energy spark.

“Bala”, Swinging the Brazo Izquierda del Diablo around as Koga's axe shifted into a shield, the man grunted as the fist coated in red spiritual energy slammed into the shield and sent him flying backwards.

Flipping with the punch before digging his feet into the ground, Koga shifted his shield into a staff and stabbed it into the ground behind him, catching himself before hopping up and flipping over the hammer fist from Chad.

The ground exploded upwards as he landed behind Chad, spinning his weapon back into an axe in a blur of movement before aiming a cleave down onto Chad's exposed back.

However, the teen spun around and tanked the blow with his Brazo Derecha el Gigante absorbing most of the impact. The impact sent a ripple and the ground cracked under Chad's feet, but he stood firm and held Koga's frown with his own narrowed eyes.

With no hesitation, Koga leapt back as Chad swung at his head with the Brazo Izquierda del Diablo once more, loosely holding his axe at his side before the two began to circle each other.

'I can't aim a La Muerte and miss, but it might also not be enough so I need to mix a Cero into it as well. However, in order to hit, I'll need to be fast enough and that's not going to happen, which means…'

'He's tough, but I'm faster. Unfortunately, having all of this speed means nothing if he blocks my every hit and forces me back. I can get in, but my every blow will be blocked no matter what if I keep retreating. Hah, I guess that means…'

'I'll have to take a hit and finish this with one decisive blow', Both Chad and Koga thought as they shifted into their attack stances, Koga frowning at the dim glow coming from Chad's right arm while the teen narrowed his eyes further at the reishi in the air gathering around the edge of the axe.

A tense silence hung in the air as both fighters stared at each other, Chad lifting his hands into a boxing stance while Koga dug his feet into the ground before the teen shot forward the moment the man blinked.

A second Bala shot forward from his left fist as he jabbed at the air, the blast faster than the first as Koga swatted it to the side only for Chad to unleash an explosion from his feet and abruptly boost himself forward.

'Not giving me any time to breath' Koga thought with a frown, twirling the axe behind his back while ducking forward and dodging the jab at his head.

A blast of spiritual energy shot from Chad's fist and sliced through the air, hitting Jackie's opponent in the back and leaving her open for a vicious kick from the woman in question as she smirked.

Bringing his right hand up and blocking the axe slashing at his chest, Chad pushed it to the side while spinning with the block and locking his right leg with Koga's left leg.

Forcing the man to roll with him as Chad dropped and rolled forward, Chad brought the Brazo Derecha el Gigante down and landed a powerful heavy slam against the axe's staff.

Koga gritted his teeth as the force from the blow drove him into the ground, the blow reverberating through his body before he wrapped his legs around the arm and lifted his hips upwards.

A loud snap echoed in the air as the shield of the Brazo Derecha el Gigante snapped off at the sides, Koga lifting his axe above his head before swinging it down onto Chad's shoulder.

However, his eyes widened as Chad didn't stop despite the axe stabbing deep into his shoulder, lifting Koga up while pulling back the Brazo Izquierda del Diablo which was surging with crimson spiritual energy coiling around his knuckles.

“Oh, this one's about to be good.”

'Channelling almost all of my Reiatsu plus all the force absorbed from Koga's blows equals…'

“La Muerte: Gran Rey Cero”, The air rumbled as his fist slammed into the hasty shield made by Koga, the force of the punch exploding forward faster than ever before.

With that one attack, the street under them vanished as a crater spread out like a blooming flower, Koga's eyes rolling back as a pillar of black and crimson energy spiralled up into the sky like a hurricane.

The next moment, Koga was launched through the air like a ragdoll, the sounds of battle ceasing as the man crashed through two buildings several blocks away before bringing the third down on top of him.

Everything was quiet as Chad stood tall, ripping the axe out and letting Diablo heal the damage as his Brazo Izquierda del Diablo cracked and dissipated.

“Holy shit”, Jackie whispered from where she was standing, her foe looking just as shocked as Chad took a deep breath before smiling as the familiar feeling of the cooldown ending washed over his body.

With ease, he clawed down in front of his face and his Reiatsu rippled forward, the Brazo Derecha el Gigante shifting into its offensive form before Chad let out a menacing howl that made the ground crack below him.

With a lung, Chad charged forward and through the air as Giriko leapt over the gaping maw of the enemy whale, the howling sound of Chad's arrival making the man on the whale's back turn to him only to catch a powerful right punch to their jaw.

“El Directo”, Wanting to make sure his opponent was out cold, Chad unleashed a blast of spiritual energy that sent the elderly man flying through the whale and out the other side.

Giriko was quick with the combo attack as he dropped down from the air with a double knee, the attack making the old man wheeze as he was slammed face first into the rubble.

“You go help Jackie. I'll go help Moe.”

“As you wish, Chad”, Giriko nodded before skating elegantly across the ground towards Jackie, who was managing to keep her foe at bay only for her opponent to be hit with a kick from behind.

Chad on the other hand was rushing at a blistering pace as he caught sight of Moe and his opponent, whose eyes widened as he caught sight of the mask-wearing Chad charging down towards him.

“G-Gesell! Stop him!” The bespectacled man exclaimed and Chad watched as the man threw some kind of tarot card onto the ground, the many floating spheres around him shining bright lights onto the teen and blinding him.

Chad then felt wiring wrapping around his neck and limbs before ripping free with a growl, surprising his opponent as the teen pulled his right fist back before punching the ground.

A burst of spiritual energy surged outwards and made the earth explode upwards, blocking Chad from view before the man wheezed as a bleeding Moe came from the side and landed a vicious right hook to his jaw.

“El Directo!”, With a grunt as he punched the air, the blast of potent spiritual energy flew through the air and slammed into the man's chest, sending him flipping head over heels across the ground.

“Take this goddamn lucky knuckle sandwich!”, Moe exclaimed as he rushed in, the bespectacled man coming to a stop only to gag as Moe slammed down onto him with his knuckleduster-covered fist slamming into his chest.

“And that's how you do it! Whooo!”, Chad just shook his head at Moe's cheerful shouts, watching as the spheres all sunk into the shadows before both he and Moe were surprised when a fist shot up from below the man and dragged him into them.

“…Uh, Chad?”

“We'll worry about that later. Go and see if Tsukishima needs help. I'll go and help Yukio and Riruka.”

“You got it!”, Moe spoke with a thumbs-up and Chad watched him jog over to where he could feel Tsukishima fighting before turning and making his way to Riruka and Yukio.

Turning the corner, Chad watched as Yukio formed an energy barrier around him and Riruka right as a pair of high-pressure water jets slammed into them.

Raising an eyebrow as Riruka aimed her Love Gun and shot a heart blast through the barrier at the twins who dodged the attack, he was not surprised to hear the two arguing despite the water blob trying to kill them.

“Oi, Yukio! A little help or are you still playing games?!”

“Hey, I'm trying to make sure we don't get sliced in half here!”, Yukio snapped back as he created a grid below them that raised them upwards right as Chad charged in below them and swung a fist down onto the water blob.

However, he frowned as the blob maneuvered around his attack before his eyes widened as he saw it leaping at his face, instinctively unleashing a roar of spiritual energy that pushed it back and gave him time to jump back.

“Hey, look at that, Ho. The guy actually pushed back Guhl and Gunther fused together”, The twin with the white beanie spoke while Ho just looked amused with his red baseball cap that appeared to be styled after a skull.

“It doesn't matter, Ban. We'll just make them stronger and then-!” Ho wanted to continue monologuing, but his eyes widened as a pink, heart-shaped energy beam shot through the water blob's head and exploded.

However, what shocked them most was that the blast had also destroyed the corks inside the blob's head, Chad leaping backwards as the water blob bulged out obscenely before blinking as it collapsed upon itself.

“Ha! You got distracted!”, She shouted before a cube made out of virtual grids appeared around them, both trying to escape as Yukio simply pressed X on his handheld and made it vanish.

“Uh, Yukio, did you…did you kill them?”, Riruka asked hesitantly before letting out a relieved sigh as the blonde snorted.

“No, I simply removed them from the physical world and saved them into a game called 'Undead Mayhem' where a person has infinite lives and must fight waves of undead over and over again.

“…What's the point of that game?” Chad asked and Yukio smirked as he shook his head.

“There's no point. It's just one of those hack 'n slash games I like.”

“Well, I suppose that works”, Chad said with a shrug as he dismissed his mask, letting the cooldown timer run down while Riruka blinked.

“Wait, so you're telling me you sent those guys into an endless zombie survival game? Why didn't you do that earlier?!”

“Firstly, because they kept escaping the cube with that water. Secondly, because you were annoying me instead of shooting the corks like I said”, Yukio explained before rolling his eyes while Chad hid his amusement as Riruka huffed.

An explosion right besides them made them flinch as Chad lifted the Brazo Derecha el Gigante above their heads, blocking the rubble while all three of them blinked at the sight of a grinning Moe walking out of the dust.

“Hey, guys! Turns out Mr. Tsukishima didn't need my help!”

“Be quiet, Moe”, Tsukishima spoke with a hum as he walked out of the rubble, dusting off his shoulders and adjusting his shoulder straps before catching the three staring at the blood on his body.

“Oh, don't worry. This is not my blood but that of my foes. When I defeated them, their Dolls turned on them and killed them off.”

“Huh, guess that's the thing that happened with my guy, huh Chad?”, Moe asked and Chad nodded as he shifted the Brazo Derecha el Gigante back to its offensive form while Riruka shook her head.

“Of course, you're not injured because why would you be?”

“I thank you for the compliment, Riruka. Who else is left?”

“I suppose only Jackie and Gin-!” Before Moe could finish speaking, their eyes widened as a figure was sent flying across the street, rushing out of the alleyway to see Kugo lying on the street with a groan while Jin slowly floated down.

Both men were covered in bruises and thin, sharp cuts that were bleeding profusely, but Chad frowned as he saw all of Kugo's cuts being more shallow than Jin's were.

'Hah, of course he can't beat him. It's still his brother.'

“Kugo, are you holding back when your life is on the line?”, Chad asked and Kugo sighed as he slowly sat up while looking at Jin as he landed.

“No!”

“That didn't sound very convincing!”

“…Yes, it was!”, Tsukishima just sighed at their leader's lame attempts to sound serious while the others palmed their faces, Jin frowning at their casual behaviour before glancing behind him to see Jackie and Giriko standing behind him with frowns.

Looking back to the front as he heard shuffling, the Bount leader's frown deepened as the rest of the Fullbringers surrounded him from all sides, each with their ability at the ready as Kugo stood up.

“Hah, should have known you guys wouldn't let me fight this alone.”

“Of course not. You might be annoying, but you are still the leader”, Riruka spoke with a roll of her eyes, making Kugo smirk before he turned forward as Jin scoffed.

“So, this is what you resort to? Needing others to hold your hand?”

“Considering you're the one standing here without people to support you, I'd say I'm going to let them help, yeah. After all, the sooner we'll deal with you, the sooner we get to fix this place up.”

“And Father? You're not even going to consider the chan-!”

“That he might be dead and not being tortured by the Gotei 13? Look, Jin, just as much as I want to believe that he's out there, I also want to believe that he is now resting in peace. I do not wish to disturb that peace nor will I let anyone disturb that peace, even if it is his own flesh and blood. So, surrender and let us talk this out. Brother to brother.”

“You…are no brother of mine, Ginjo”, Jin growled as he readied the hilt around his hand and Kugo stopped everyone from attacking as the Cross of Scaffold glowed.

With a burst of speed, Jin vanished and reappeared behind Riruka, his blade already swinging at her neck. However, it never met flesh as Kugo's energy clashed with it, the Cross of Scaffold blocking off the blow while the two of them glared at each other.

“You think you're alone in this world, Jin. You always thought that you were the only one that can do everything on your own, but you can't!”, Kugo exclaimed as he pushed him back, the Bount leader catching himself before rushing in with a downwards slash.

“Funnel!” Swinging his sword downwards, a funnel of wind exploded around him and dispersed the wind blade, another wind funnel gathering around the Cross of Scaffold right as Kugo swung it at Jin's side.

The Bount was quickly as he took control of the wind for a brief moment to push it down, giving him enough room to hop over the blade and deliver a wicked stomp that sent Kugo staggering backwards.

“Windestanz!/ Rising Currents!”, As Jin stabbed at Kugo and unleashed four tornadoes that all condensed together into one large tornado, the Fullbringer swung his blade upwards and unleashed a storm of wind blades that sliced the tornado to pieces.

“Wind Barrier!/ Raging Funnel!”, Kugo didn't let up as he swung down, bringing a tornado down upon the wind barrier surrounding Jin and the Bount frowned as he saw the numerous miniature wind blades trying to cut through his defences.

“Wind Licht Schneide!/ Raging Current!” With a roar as both swung their blades and unleashed their Reiatsu, Chad hopped in front of Riruka and Yukio to block the wind.

'Huh, guess he really wasn't holding back', The teen thought with slight surprise as he saw the two large blasts of wind cancelling each other out, both Kugo and Jin glaring at each other before Jin gasped as a blade pierced through his back.

However, he was surprised at the sight of no blood right as Giriko rushed in, tapping Jin with his pocket watch before both he and Tsukishima leapt back right as a virtual cube formed around Jin and vanished.

“Huh, that…was a lot easier than I was expecting.”

“I simply sealed his spiritual energy away for a brief moment.”

“And my blade can simply pass through others as a distraction”, Tsukishima spoke after Giriko did, the two men sharing an amused glance as Yukio finished saving Jin to the same game that Ho and Ban were in.

“Think he'll get to the point that he doesn't want to kill us?”, Kugo asked as he dismissed the Cross of Scaffold, watching as everyone looked at each other before laughing as Chad was the one who answered.

“Not in the slightest.”

“Hahahaha! Ah~ Yeah…Anyway, let's get this place fixed up. Yukio?”, The man asked as he turned to the youngest of the group, who sighed as he saw everyone's expectant looks.

“Fine, I'll pay for it.”

“Whoo! Time for a new building!”

A/N: And there goes the Bount Arc~ Like I said, a filler/ Omake arc where…I was just bored and wanted to waste some time before we jump into the Arrancar stuff.

Did this have any relevance to the story? Not at all. Was I just being a lazy bastard?…Yeah.
