My Dad Is The Strongest: Ch.17

“Don't you have anything else to do?”

“Nah, not really”, Killua said with a shrug as he sat besides Noritoshi's bed, to which the heir in question let out a soft sigh.

“Why would he leave? Having my best friend here is quite enjoyable”, Todo spoke up from where he was lounging and Killua raised an eyebrow as he turned to the teen lying in the bed next to him.

“First, I was your little brother. Now, I'm your best friend. You really need to decide on one.”

“You are both.”

“You're exhausting, you know that?”, Killua spoke with a roll of his eyes, though a small smirk tugged at his lips as Todo looked completely unbothered by his words

“I am passionate. There's a difference.”

“At least it's not boring”, Noritoshi spoke up from where he was seated, smirkly slightly as Killua leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms.

“You say that now. Just wait until he starts reciting Buddhism poetry again.”

“Always love one's friends from your heart and not from your need as many will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.”

“…See?” Killua said with a thumb towards Todo and Noritoshi shook his head as Todo smirked.

“Was that even a Buddhist poem?”

“A mixture of two”, Todo replied proudly, Killua rolling his eyes as he watched the muscular teen placing a hand over his heart as if he had just delivered a life-altering revelation.

“You really think you're quite the genius, huh?”

“I do not think I am, but if you believe so, I will accept the compliment.”

“You're impossible to be around”, Noritoshi spoke with a sigh and Todo simply raised an eyebrow before smirking.

“And yet, you still choose to sit beside me.”

“Remind me why this guy is still friends with us?”, Killua asked as Todo lied back on his bed, to which Noritoshi sighed and shook his head.

“Because somehow, against all odds, he grows on you.”

“Like a fungus.”

“Like family”, Todo corrected and Killua smirked as he nodded.

“…Like a fungus.”

“Hi~”, Killua turned to the door as it opened, his smirk widening as Utahime-sensei led Momo, Miwa, Mai and Mechamaru into the room.

“Of course, you're already on your foot.”

“It will take a lot more to take me out, sensei”, Killua spoke with a smug snort and Utahime rolled her eyes with an amused smile.

“It's good to see that no one was hurt badly during the fights”, Miwa spoke with a relieved smile and Todo just smirked as Killua glanced at the bandages around his body.

“Do not worry, brother. While the pain was indeed intense, my mind has been honed through training to accelerate the healing process in order to make sure I am at peak physical performance at all times.”

“You and Killua don't count. The two of you are abnormal”, Mai spoke with a smirk and Killua shrugged as he lounged back in his chair.

“Not my fault you guys can't keep up.”

“Oh, my apologies. I'll be sure to keep up with the ten year old that is a Special Grade and can use Domain Expansion.”

I must ask, though. Since when can you use Domain Expansion? I thought you said it was a bit harder to grasp than you were expecting”, Mechamaru spoke up from the back of the group and Killua nodded.

“It was until I decided to have it be more of a domain that helps me instead of one that has an instant-kill sure hit like my dad's would.”

“What is your sure-hit effect?” Noritoshi asked before smirking as Killua just looked at him with an amused and knowing look.

“Did you expect that to work?”

“A little bit. You do love to gloat.”

“I do, indeed. Anyway, are we still going to be ehre for a while, sensei?” Killua asked and Utahime looked to be in thought before nodding.

“At most, for another day. Why do you ask?”

“Oh, just wanted to go hang out with the Tokyo kids.”

“Have we gotten that boring for you?”, Mai asked, but Killua chuckled at the unasked question that she wanted to ask.

“Nah, you guys are still entertaining. Just figured I'd spread my overwhelming presence elsewhere before you all start taking me for granted.”

“You mean before we get peace and quiet again”, Momo muttered under her breath, which only Killua and Miwa besides her heard as the girl giggled while Killua narrowed his eyes.

“It if means less of you trying to drag me to go buy sweets, I'll personally walk you to the Tokyo dorm.”

“Oh, great, then! Anyone else want to come with?…Besides Todo?”, The teenager in question slumped as Utahime giggled at his reactions while the others shook their heads.

“I would not mind a break either. You are like a storm that has no end.”

“So, I'm unforgettable, is what you're saying?”

A bit egotistical, arrogant and irritating is more accurate”, Mechamaru corrected before they all rolled their eyes in unison as Killua wagged his finger through the air with a smile.

“Unforgettable.”

“Just try not to drag the Tokyo kids into a sparring match of any kind. Shoko is still tired from having to reattach Hakari's arms after you cut them off”, Utahime asked and smiled exasperated as Killua shrugged before winking.

“No promises. See you guys tomorrow~”

“Mai…”

“I'll try my best, sensei”, Mai said with a giggle as she followed after Killua and Utahime sighed as she palmed her face.

“Want to watch a movie, sensei? I personally recommend the Takada-chan special that aired last month”, Todo proposed and Utahime looked at the look of panic on the others' faces before giggling as her nod made their groan.

“Okay, Todo. Let me see what this Takada-chan is all about.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Have you been to see your grandparents?”, Mai asked as the two of them walked through the tree-lined path that connected the Tokyo dorms from the Kyoto team's temporary dorms.

Killua looked at her as she spoke, a lollipop tucked in the corner of his mouth and his hands in his pockets before he shook his head at her question.

“Nope, not yet. They said they'd come see me so I've just been waiting.”

“Oh, okay”, Mai responded softly and the two continued walking with her arms crossed, a calm silence hanging in the air before Killua rolled his eyes and took out his lollipop.

“Okay, do you wanna say something? Or ask something? I can feel your anxiety and nervousness.”

“No, you can't.”

“I can see, hear, smell and analyse electromagnetic fields, remember? I can most definitely figure out how your emotions show through that”, Killua said with a smirk and Mai looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

“Did you just activate your technique to do that?”

“Not at all”, Killua answered and Mai narrowed her eyes before smirking as she saw the sparking electricity rippling in his hair.

“Why not just keep it perpetually active?”

“I would love to, but I also love my brain. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get the Six Eyes that my dad loves to gloat to me about.”

“Speaking of the Tokyo guys, I still don't get why you want to see them.”

“Mostly to gloat to my dad that I beat his best students. Also, because it's fun to watch people try not to ask a kid how he took out a third year”, Killua answered with a shrug and Mai looked at him before shaking her head.

“You're insufferable.”

“I prefer the term 'charming'”, Killua spoke with a smirk, snickering as she rolled her eyes before looking forward as they reached the part of the Tokyo campus where the Tokyo team was gathered.

“Evening, everybody~ Great to see everyone up~”, Killua waved with a grin, Yuta just smiling softly as Daichi and Shizuka sat on the steps with bandages around their bodies and the former downing a sports drink.

“You've got a real sense of humor for someone who almost committed a murder”, Hakari spoke with a grin from where he was sitting at the top step, his arms in bandages while Killua smirked at the glare from the feminine person sitting next to the teen.

“Hey, I left your legs intact. That's the first sign of friendship in my books.”

“Yeah, you're definitely Gojo-sensei's kid”, Shizuka muttered and Killua hummed before noting Mai staring at the bespectacled girl standing besides Yuta along with a white-haired teen and…a panda?

“Uh, the panda…”

Yes, I can talk”, Panda answered with an amused voice and Killua blinked before nodding.

“…Huh, cool. Anyway, you must be Maki, right? The older twin sister of Ms. Snappy besides me.”

“I am not snappy! Also, I'm the older one.”

“I'm the older by two minutes, sister. You should know this”, Killua had a shit-eating grin on his face as Maki spoke up, knowing that would trigger Mai as the girl snapped to her older sister with a glare.

“Don't you start!”

“Just saying. If you're going to want to be the older sister, you have to act like the older sister and so far, I'm not impressed.”

“Killua…”

“No, don't kill your sister…I don't think you can, but just to be sure”, Killua added and Mai crossed her arms with a huff as Maki simply raised an eyebrow at how easily he calmed her down.

“You'll have to teach me how you did that.”

“Eh, it helped that I'm the one keeping the Zen'in clan from forcing her to do missions and that she is now an honorary Gojo clan member after I took her in.”

“You took her in?” Maki asked and Killua shrugged as Mai scoffed.

“Yes, because it took someone else from another family to see my struggles.”

“It's not my fault that you decided to stay there instead of joining me.”

“Mai, Maki, that direction if you two wanna argue about family stuff”, Killua interrupted and Mai frowned before she walked off to the distance, Maki looking at Killua before humming as she hopped over the railing and followed after her sister.

“T-Think they're going to fight?”, Yuta asked and Killua snorted as he crossed his arms and shook his head.

“Nah, Mai's hot-headed, but not that hot-headed. Anyway, ignoring what just happened, what's with the chick on your arm, Hakari?”

“I'm not a female”, The feminine person spoke up and Killua blinked as the feminine voice did trick him before he caught sight of the Adam's apple.

“Ah, you're a…guy that identifies as a girl or something like that, right?”

“Something like that.”

“…Cool, the name's Killua. What's yours?”, Killua spoke with a nod, surprising the person as Hakari burst out laughing.

“K-Kirara Hoshi. This…doesn't weird you out?”

“I grew up in a whorehouse/ brothel. This is like a minor thing compared to most things I've seen”, Killua answered with a shrug and Kirara blinked at that while Hakari hummed with an amused smirk.

“You're just as blunt as Gojo, huh?”

“Bluntness is kindness with less padding. Also, it saves time”, Killua replied with a smirk before popping his lollipop back in, to which Panda just shook his head.

Why do I feel like that's something Gojo-sensei would write on a T-Shirt?”

“Because it is./ Salmon.” Daichi and Inumaki answered respectively, making Killua hum at the weird way of speaking before turning to Kirara as they spoke.

“You're different from what I expected.”

“I get that a lot. People expect broody prodigy and then they get charming, chaotic menace instead.”

“And what a menace you are? Domain Expansion at ten years old? Leave some achievements for the rest of us”, Daichi joked and Killua rolled his eyes while crossing his arms.

“Hey, I'm Satoru Gojo's son. I have to at least make sure you guys feel inadequate from time to time”, Killua bragged, grinning at everyone's groans before looking to the side to see Mai and Maki still caught in an argument.

“D-Do you think they'll be okay?”, Yuta asked as they all looked and Killua snorted as he nodded.

“They're sisters. They'll fight, argue, cry and then pretend it never happened when they're older. All part of the package. Sometimes, family doesn't come from blood, but from who steps in after your blood fails you.”

“That…sounded surprisingly wise”, Hakari spoke and Killua tapped the side of his head with a cat-like grin.

“Right? I'm full of surprises and shocking revelations”, He said before cackling at their groans as Panda shook his head.

That pun physically hurt.”

“Sure it did. Now, who's up for some card games while we wait for the two sisters to stop arguing?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Yo, old timer~! I see you're hard at work!”, Killua exclaimed with a grin as he kicked the door open before raising an eyebrow at the blonde man seated in front of him.

The glasses he saw on the man's face did confuse him for a bit as he did not see any arms on it that would wrap around the ears to keep them up before raising an eyebrow as the man did the same.

'Huh, that's weird, how are they staying on his face?', Killua thought as the two simply stared at each other for a brief moment before Killua smirked as he looked to his dad.

“A friend?”

“One could say t-!”

“No. You must be Killua?”, The man interrupted and Killua smirked as he saw his dad's disgruntled grumbling before walking forward and nodding with a bow.

“Yep, Killua Gojo, son of the old man behind the chair.”

“Oi, I'm only 27 years old.”

“And I'm 10 so to me, you're old.”

“Don't be jealous just 'cause I'm the better looking one.”

“Oh, I didn't know being delusional comes with age. I'll tell Gramps to get you some meds to help with that”, Killua spoke with a smirk as he sat down on the only other chair in the room, both him and his dad putting their legs on the desk while narrowing their eyes at each other.

“…He is most definitely your son. So, he's the one I'll have to take on this mission?”

“Yeah, Killua is a special grade and while you are one of the better Grade 1 sorcerers in the community, I'd rather be sure since this is a Special Grade case.”

“Okay, cool. Just one question from the kid that doesn't know anything…uh, what's going on here?”, Killua asked with a raised hand and the man shook his head as Satoru smirked.

“Killua, this is Nanami, a Grade 1 sorcerer and you're going to help him on a Special Grade case.”

“Oh, okay. Uh, just one issue. I got school.”

“You're a Special Grade so you're allowed to go on these types of cases. Besides, Nanami is going to be doing most of the work. You're just there as extra insurance”, Satoru spoke, but Killua narrowed his eyes as the man was far happier than he should be.

“Urgh, fine~ So, what's so special about this case that you asked me and not Mei-Mei or any of the other people here?”

“Because we have sent three Grade 2, one Semi-Grade 1 and one Grade 1 to take care of it and only the Grade 1 sorcerer returned.”

“Oh, this is a special Special Grade, huh?”

“Yep. Also, it's a Special Grade Apparition that we've been observing since it appeared and since it appeared near the Kamo clan compound, I am not allowed near it because they're scared I might try and steal their secrets.”

“Well, that's a bunch of bullshit. They're in cahoots with the Zen'in clan, then”, Killua muttered, Nanami raising an eyebrow as Satoru snorted.

“That's what we're thinking too.”

“Hah, fine. Can I know the name of the Apparition, then?”, Killua asked before he palmed his face with a groan as Satoru spoke.

“Yamata no Orochi.”

“…Son of a fucking bitch.”

A/N: And here we are with the next quick arc~!! I wanted to make it either one of the Disaster Curses or Mahito when he forms early or even a cursed spirit that made a Binding Vow which Kenjaku.

However, then I remembered Sukuna speaking of Yamata no Orochi during his fight with Mahoraga and that gave me the idea for this fight.

Also, Nanami is the story~So, he gets to shine as well~

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!
