37)Perfection? Not For Me: Ch.37

“Rahhhh!” The sky trembled as both Goku and Vegeta swung their fists with synchronised roars, Beerus smirking as he raised his arms and caught their fists.

The clouds around them were evaporated from the shockwave that was created by their clash and the Saiyans growled as they kept pushing only for Beerus to spin and throw them in opposite directions.

“Not bad. I actually felt that one.” Beerus spoke before he vanished, appearing behind Vegeta with a hand raised before swinging down right as Vegeta spun around and block the attack.

The Saiyan prince gritted his teeth as the force behind it was still enough to sent him crashing into the bottom of the sea, the gaping hole slowly filling up as Beerus looked down at Vegeta only to catch a punch to his jaw.

Goku was surprised as his blow sent the god of destruction careening through the air before they widened even further as Beerus vanished and appeared in front of him.

The god, though, did not look amused at the Saiyan's attack as he punched forward and Goku quickly vanished right as the god punched through the space he previously occupied.

With an Instant Transmission, Goku appeared besides Vegeta right as the Saiyan prince shot from the ocean with a roar, Beerus raising an eyebrow even as he shook the air behind him when he dashed towards them.

As he swung a punch towards the prince, his eyes widened when Goku appeared besides him and kicked his arm upwards, giving Vegeta the opportunity to land a gut punch that sent Beerus blasting upwards into the atmosphere.

Both Saiyans didn't waste the opportunity as they shot up after him, the god humming as he flipped around before the Saiyans looked shocked as he appeared in between them.

“Let's step things up a bit.” Beerus spoke softly before tightly gripping both by their faces, sonic booms echoing behind them as the god crossed hundreds of kilometers in the blink of an eye and slammed them through a series of mountain ranges.

Vegeta and Goku grunted as they struggled to free themselves and Beerus felt amused at their struggles as he let go and watched them both quickly fly away.

“Ka…Me…Ha…Me…/ Galick Gun…” Instead of running though, the god was surprised to see the excited smile on Goku's face and the challenging glare on Vegeta's as both pulled their hands back.

“Ha!/ Rah!” Roaring in sync while thrusting their hands forward, the sky was dyed a deep blue and a bright violet as a Kamehameha-Wave and a Galick Gun sliced through the air towards the god, who smirked while raising his hands to the side.

With a grunt, Beerus unleashed a pulse of pure divine ki the moment their blasts impacted his hands and both Saiyans frowned as they saw their ki blasts be snuffed out by his aura.

“This is quite satisfactory to have a foe that doesn't die the moment I even glance at them, but I am simply not impressed by what I have seen. Is this all the last of the Saiyan race has to offer?” Beerus asked with a raised eyebrow and Vegeta gritted his teeth while Goku frowned.

“You might not want to underestimate us, Mr. god. I know a few guys that did that and they're all dead.”

“Are you saying I will die if I do not take you seriously?” Beerus asked with a smile as he appeared behind Goku, but there was no hiding the malicious aura around him as Goku quickly spun and lashed out with a high kick.

The god blocked it with his forearm before grabbing Goku's leg and throwing him away only for Vegeta to dash forward and deliver a knee straight to the god's chest.

Yet, the Saiyan prince was the one that flinched in pain when he felt his knee connecting, Beerus simply pushing his leg down while smirking as Vegeta swung and knocked his head to the side with a wide hook.

Goku did not stay out of the fight too long as he appeared behind the god through Instant Transmission with his aura surging and his legs pulled back. Vegeta quickly flipping out of the way while Beerus turned his head only to get a heavy stomp to his back.

For the first time since the battle began, the god looked to be in slight pain as he blasted downwards and Vegeta and Goku took the time to catch a breather as they watched him crash into the ground.

“You feel like you're doing anything?” Goku asked, his voice sounding ethereal as Vegeta snorted and nodded.

“Yes. Unlike you, I am actually doing some damage.”

“You just tried to hit him and he didn't even look phased by it.” Goku spoke with a smirk and Vegeta huffed before his eyes widened as a hand wrapped around the back of his neck.

“Is that so? Then allow me to return your blows in kind.” Vegeta's eyes widened in pain and he gasped as he felt a powerful blow to his upper back, the force of it sending him rocketing through the air while Goku appeared in front of him with a leg raised upwards.

Beerus grinned excitedly even as he blocked the blow, ecstatic at the slight ache rippling through his forearm while Goku strained to push his leg down before the god grunted as Vegeta shot through the air.

The Saiyan prince roared as he swung his fist forward and the god reached up to catch it only for his eyes to widen along with his smile as Vegeta stopped his punch to spin and deliver a kick to his side.

Making the sky tremble as the blow sent Beerus rocketing to the side, the god flipped over only to get a double punch to his chest, but both Vegeta and Goku grunted as the god flexed and sent them flying back with a burst of his ki.

“Oh yes. This!…This is what I needed!” The god growled as his body was coated in a dark purple ki and both Saiyan gods as Beerus tilted his head before blasting forward with a manic grin.

“Do you do this with telepathy or scrying perhaps?” I asked as I watched the projection made by Whis' sceptre, the other Z-Fighters and their friends all watching along while keeping an eye on us.

“Ufufufu~ You are quite sharp and yes, I used a mixture of clairvoyance and scrying to create a viewing orb that keeps track of the fight through the usage of his energy. However, I have to ask. Did you use a mixture of telepathy and healing to force their bodies to grow to a point where they might actually win?”

“Not win because we both know that would be impossible, but just enough to where Lord Beerus wouldn't feel like they're boring to fight.”

“Is that because you do not wish to fight him?” He asked and chuckled as I crossed my arms and nodded.

“Yep. I might have gotten stronger in my time in the Demon Realm, but I don't believe I'm strong enough to take on Lord Beerus yet.”

“I would like to differ.” Whis spoke with a sly smirk and I looked at him with a raised eyebrow as he hid his chuckle with his hand.

“Are you telling the truth or just trying to make me feel good?”

“Ohohoho~ Wouldn't you like to know?”

“Okay, I have to ask. Why the hell do you like you're made out of bubblegum?” Krillin spoke up and I looked at him to see everyone listening in even as we all watched the match.

“I don't see how that's relevant to what we're watching.”

“Well, you owe us that considering you dumped your problem on Goku and Vegeta.”

“If Lord Beerus were here to hear you say that, this planet would have been nothing but a speck of dust in the galaxy.”

“It's more the galaxy. He has destroyed countless galaxies for lesser things that were said.” Whis spoke up while eating his mousse with a pleased hum and I shrugged as Krillin gulped slightly.

“Then explain this god of destruction crap you spoke of.” Piccolo spoke/ ordered and I felt amused at the Namekian's attempt to intimidate me before shrugging.

“Ask nicely.”

“Please, tell us about this god of destruction crap you spoke of. Also, why do you call him Lord Beerus?” Gohan chimed in before Piccolo could and I shrugged as I leaned back in my seat when I noticed Whis gesturing for me to do so.

“I call him Lord Beerus because it is to give him the proper respect as god of Destruction of our Universe 7. As for the terms I keep throwing around, there are essentially 12 universes in our multiverse and each universe has three divine beings to look over them.

The first is the Supreme Kai who is also known as the god of Creation and their duty is to simply care and nurture the universe they are assigned to ensure that our universe is at an acceptable mortal level.

The second is the Angel assigned to each god of Destruction and their duty is to essentially train up the god of Destruction to an acceptable level as well as make sure the god doesn't go mad with power and does not forget to do their duty to the universe.

Finally, there is the god of Destruction assigned to each universe and their job is simple: They are to destroy any civilization that would bring the mortal level of the universe down, i.e. any barbaric and/ or chaotic races and civilizations. Did I get that right?”

“It is a bit more complex than that, but it is still a good explanation.” Whis spoke up as he finished his second bowl of mousse before picking up his third as I nodded and turned towards the shocked/ sceptical group of Z-Fighters.

“And you know all of this how exactly?”

“Because I absorbed the concept of Evil that terrorized the universe a few million years ago before he was sealed away by our current Supreme Kai after the other four Supreme Kais, one of which being the former Supreme Kai in charge of the universe, were absorbed and killed by said Concept of Evil.”

“…Eh?” Krillin asked with a blink of his eyes and I rolled mine before shifting my body, surprising them as I went from a mint green to a light pink.

“This is the form the Concept of Evil took when he was on a rampage. Its name was Majin Buu and it took myself along with what little remained of the Grand Supreme Kai's energy to destroy and absorb it, but in order to do so, I had to fuse with said Supreme Kai through a method that made me a Supreme Kai in itself.”

“…So, you're like… a god now?” Yamcha asked and I went to respond with a shake of my head before stopping as I frowned and turned to Whis.

“Am I a god?”

“You are a fusion of a Supreme Kai and a mortal that has achieved control over god ki and the body of Buu has been bathing in god ki for millions of years before you absorbed it so…yes, you are a god in all but name.”

'…Huhh, I mean, I expected myself to be a god, but it's glad to have confirmation from someone that is actually a god.'

“So, the monster that terrorized our planet for a few weeks is now a god? Well, isn't that lovely?”

“Hey, I made your husbands gods so that equals it out in my eyes.” I answered with a shrug and Chi-Chi just scoffed before I looked forward right in time to see Vegeta getting a punch to his jaw that shattered the land they were floating above for kilometers.

“Oof~ He's going to feel that one in the morning.”

“I fear you may need to interfere within the next few minutes.” Whis spoke up and I raised an eyebrow at him as he gestured at the projection with a spoon.

“Lord Beerus is finally taking them serious which also means that he's starting to hold back less and less.”

“Hmm, that is what we want, though. The more he tries, the lesser the chance is of him destroying the planet, yes?”

“It's quite the opposite actually. Once they are beaten, Lord Beerus will be turning his gaze elsewhere and last I checked, you are the only other being on this planet apart from those two to possess god ki.”

“…Stop the battle?”

“Stop the battle.” Whis responded with a smile and I nodded as I stood up while stretching my body and shifting my colour back to its mint green.

“Kai-Kai!” The next moment, I stood in front of Goku and Vegeta, stopping their punches while also kicking backwards to stop Beerus as the three of them looked surprised to see me do so.

“You best have a good explanation for your interference.” Beerus spoke with a frown after he snapped out of his surprise, the Saiyans looking just as disgruntled as I shook my arms and leg before nodding.

“I do. I believe that the god ki the Saiyans possess currently is finite and if they were to run out, their bodies might start breaking down in order to keep up. However, I'm certain you would see that as an insult considering they would become weaker and weaker with each blow.”

“That is not the c-!” Before Vegeta could finish speaking, I spun and swung a wide hook at his head, the Saiyan raising his arm and grunting as he blocked the blow before his eyes widened as his hair and eyes turned back to their signature black.

Aiming a punch at Goku, the Saiyan did the same in blocking my attack before groaning as his god ki vanished as well, with me deactivating Forced Spirit Fission and letting the divine ki disperse into the air as I turned back to Beerus who frowned.

“As you can see, my lord, they are not quite on the level to prove a challenge to you yet. However, if you were to give them proper time and training, I believe they may be the Super Saiyan God you seeked.”

“Hmm, I suppose if I must. Very well, I shall leave Earth for the time being but in the meantime, I think I'll entertain myself with your forces.” He spoke with a smile and my eyes widened at that as I saw the gleam in his eyes.

“I do not believe that to be necessary, my lord.”

“Are you telling me what I can and can't do?” He asked with a frown and I looked back at him before he raised an eyebrow as I continued.

“No, but you attacking the army would be meaningless considering that none of them stand a chance against you.”

“Precisely. Being able to take on your people and enjoy the feeling of crushing them in mind, body and soul would feel so wonderful. Unless, of course, you believe you are capable of stopping me?” He asked as he slowly turned towards me with a smirk and I frowned at that while clenching my jaw.

“If I were to fight you, do you swear on your honor as a god of Destruction to not attack my army afterwards?”

“And what if I don't?” He asked and I looked at him before his eyes widened slightly as I spoke.

“Then I will teleport towards Shin the moment you do so and kill him. After all, your lives are linked together, are they not?”

“I can just kill you right here and now.”

“You can, but are you sure I'm the only Cell out there? I could have simply split myself in half and sent half towards you while the other half is busy evacuating my people.” I answered with a smirk, ignoring my pounding heart as Beerus glared at me before snorting as he crossed his arms.

“I must admit that not many have the will to threaten me as you just did.”

“Not many know of your weakness.” I answered as I felt my ki slowly flowing from my body, Beerus' responding in kind as he smirked and crossed his arms.

“Indeed they don't. Very well. On my honour as a god of Destruction, I vow to not attack your army after our battle.” He responded before his head snapped to the side as my arm stretched out abruptly from behind my back and smashed into his jaw.

“Goku! Take Vegeta and go!” I spoke as a pillar of ki exploded from my form, shattering the ground below us and sending out powerful shockwaves as I took a deep breath and crossed my arms in front of me.

Looking forward at where Beerus stopped midair before turning his head to glare at me, I grinned as I took a deep breath before shooting forward with a roar.

“KAIOKEN X10!”

A/N: And we end off on a cliffhanger with Beerus and Cell finally fighting…as if no one didn't expect that.

Also, the Z-Fighters now know of the other universes…also a lot earlier than they did in the canon one. I am just altering the timeline, huh?
