Violet-Eyed Serpent: Ch.15

Water Style: Wild Water Wave

The moment I pushed him back, Yahiko was already weaving through hand signs while taking a big gulp of air, my own hands weaving through hand signs before I slammed them onto the ground right as he spat out a torrent of raging water.

Earth Style: Rock Wall

Solid rock grew out from the ground in front of me and at my sides, forming a barrier that pushed the water away right as I took a deep breath and lunged backwards.

Just a second later, Yahiko burst through the wall with a swing of his sword, the water around it spinning rapidly like a chainsaw as I took out another kunai before wind chakra gathered around it and the one I had in my hand.

Lunging forward, I quickly swung down right as he swung upwards, our blades clashing and sending out a shockwave that knocked the rain away from us for a brief moment before I grinned as I pushed him back.

Stabbing at his head with the right sword, he was quick to block it and push it down right in time to block the swing from my other kunai, the rotating water on his blade accelerating and pushing both kunai to the side.

Swinging the blade at my chest, I quickly bent at the knees and watched as it barely missed clipping my head, flipping backwards and onto my feet before raising a kunai right as Yahiko swung back at me.

This time, though, I fuelled more chakra into my kunai and Yahiko looked surprised as I blocked his strike, dropping my second kunai and forcing him to dodge it as I kicked it at his leg before I reached forward with my free hand and grabbed his wrist.

Spinning under his arm and pushing down with my kunai, I forced him to drop his sword lest he wanted his hand to be cut off, but I smirked as he caught it with his other hand and swung at my leg, to which I leapt back while throwing my kunai at him.

Quick to block it, he rushed towards me with his sword held out to the side, sliding across the muddy floor with chakra as I made a few hand signs and gathered chakra to my hands.

Ninja Art: Chakra Scalpel

Forming the razor sharp blades, I was quick to block his first swing at my neck while stabbing at his chest, Yahiko quickly lunging back and pushing me back as well before he readied himself as I rushed in.

Sparks flew as I rapidly slashed at him, the boy not wasting a single moment as he blocked my attacks while trying his best to get back to try and take a breather.

However, I smirked as I dismissed the chakra scalpel before quickly making a clone besides me, both of us weaving through hand signs and leaping in opposite directions as Yahiko's eyes widened before he stabbed his sword into the ground.

Fire Style: Flame Bombs

Wind Style: Gale Bullets

Water Style: Water Pillar

As the clone and I spat out a barrage of flaming oil bombs and wind bullets at Yahiko from all sides, my eyes widened slightly as the guy stomped on the ground and two pillars of water shot up on both sides of him.

The Flame Bombs were instantly snuffed out the moment they touched his water pillar while my Gale Bullets pierced through only to meet air as Yahiko was already rushing towards him, sheathing his sword before charging chakra to his blade and legs.

Kenjutsu Sheathe-and-Unsheathe: Raging Rapids!

With a flash of steel, it was only thanks to me having pre-emptively leapt into the air that his slash missed me, but I was impressed as the ground under him cracked the moment he came to a stop while a burst of wind slashed out in all directions.

“Did you learn that in secret?” I asked as I landed and rolled to my feet, spinning around and blocking his slash with my last kunai as he smirked and nodded.

“Yep! I made it after I saw how your Petra Path would be a hard counter to any ninjutsu aimed at you.” He answered before grunting as I pushed him back, lifting my leg as he dropped for a leg sweep before kicking forward right as he held his sword upwards to block the strike.

Pushing me back, he swung at my other leg right as I leapt into the air with a corkscrew, surprising him as I brought my other leg around and delivered a harsh heel kick to his back.

Sending him skidding across the ground, I quickly rushed after him while charging chakra to my kunai, the air around it warping and heating up as I slid under a slash he aimed at my neck while slicing at the ground below him.

Immediately, he hissed as the ground heated up exponentially and sent out a burst of fire at his ankles, forcing him to jump away right as I stabbed it into the ground and rushed back in.

With a grunt, I threw the flaming kunai through the air and he quickly held his sword up to block it, the kunai deflecting off of his sword with a flash of light that blinded him right as I rushed in with a burst of chakra.

Wind Style: Vacuum Blade

Quickly weaving through the hand signs, I took a deep breath before blowing out a wind blade that sliced through the ground in front of him, leaping into the air as he stumbled back right as I landed behind him and spun around.

To his credit, Yahiko was quick to spin around and parry my first kick, but the second one slipped past his side before I hooked it back, pulling him into a clothesline as I quickly pinned his sword to his neck before he sighed as I unsheathed halfway.

“You know how sharp this thing is, right?” He asked with a frown before huffing as I smirked and moved the sword away while sheathing it and helping him up.

“I do, which is why it's also the only way to get you to surrender.”

“There are other ways.”

“You mean other than the ones that requires me to break a bone or five?” I asked with a raised eyebrow and rolled my eyes as he huffed and looked away.

“Okay, so I'm a tenacious fighter? So what?”

“There's a difference between tenacious, stubborn and suicidal. You are two of the three. Guess which one you aren't?”

“Yeah, yeah, I'll try to read the situation better. So, you wanna go another?” He asked as he unsheathed his sword once more and I rolled my eyes even as I kicked up the kunai and caught it with a smirk.

“Sure. This time, the first one to bleed loses?”

“Fine by me.” He answered with a shrug and I nodded before spinning the kunai in my grasp, watching as he readied himself before the both of us lunged at each other once again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Damn, I'm famous.' I thought with a smirk as I looked at the pamphlet in my grasp, ignoring the groups of people giving me wary and shocked gazes as I stared at the rough sketch of Yahiko and I.

CAUTION: While young, the boy shows possession of a doujutsu that allows him to modify his body as well as absorb jutsu and being capable of summoning snakes, something that only Orochimaru of the Sannin has been seen to do. Be on guard.

'Wait, I understand the mass genocide for Iwa, but how am I…? Sakumo put the killings he did on me and probably got Ebizo to go with it since I took Pakura with me. That sneaky bastard. I guess I should give the guy more credit.'

“Yahiko on the other hand will be pissed at his.” I muttered with a smirk as I looked at Yahiko's, staring at the 1,000,000 (Alive) as well as the B-Rank threat ranking he had gotten from Iwa, Suna and Konoha.

'I think he's going to be more pissed at the fact that he got lower than the fact that we're now wanted men.' However, I didn't have to worry about anyone from Ame selling me out because the town itself was filled with wanted men.

Even now as I looked around, I could see a couple of guys that matched some of the bounty posters I came across and I simply nodded which they returned before we went about our business.

Outside these walls, they would not hesitate to sell me out in a heart beat, but in here where Hanzo made sure everyone lived together, no one dared to go against his rule.

'If memory serves right, he should be in the highest tower, which is that one right…there.' I thought as I glanced at the highest tower of the village, noting the lack of faces with pierced tongues on its side that made me realize that those were probably added after his death.

“Well, time to get what I came here for.” With a grunt, I was up and onto the side of a tower before I leapt away, not caring for the tracker shinobi that monitored everything everyone did as I quickly made my way towards the person I needed to meet for the day.

Spotting her, I quickly dropped down from the sky and landed with a loud thud and a grunt right in front of her, the woman not even looking phased as I stood up and waved at her with a smile.

“Hello, I assume you're Ms. Nichika, correct?”

“That is I, yes. Are you the Mr. Nagato here to purchase this establishment?” I had to respect her professionalism as despite the fact that she seemed slightly shocked by my age, she didn't let that stop her and quickly began to talk about the business we had.

“I am indeed. Is it still the same price?”

“It has dropped by 1,6% because of undisclosed reasons.”

“Will those reasons be disclosed to me when I purchase it?”

“They will not.”

“Was there any damage to the property caused by said reasons?”

“Nothing that was not fixed and/ or replaced nor were there permanent stains.”

'So, it was used as some kind of lab or execution ground…or the previous owner didn't agree with Hanzo and got wiped off the map. Eh, any of those are good.'

“That is quite alright. May I first sign the documents?”

“Half of the payment first, sir.” She spoke up and I simply reached into my coat before taking out the first scroll, handing it over as she inspected it before nodding as she unsealed a contract from her dress.

Before she could speak, I quickly took the contract and scanned through it with a critical eye, making sure there were no loopholes, tricks or conditions she could have added right as I signed it and handed the second scroll to her.

“Since you didn't try anything, Ms. Nichika, I have added a little extra for your wonderful service. Until we meet again.”

“Until we do, sir.” She nodded right as an Ame shinobi appeared besides her, the two of them vanishing with a burst of water right as I covered myself with chakra while looking at the new Akatsuki base with a grin.

Oh, they're going to love this.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Why the hell am I lower?!” Unfortunately, some were preoccupied with something else as I showed the base to the others and I rolled my eyes while Konan and Pakura let out exasperated sighs as Yahiko glared at his poster.

“It's not something to worry about for now, Yahiko. Once we start doing more missions, your bounty will go up…maybe. I have no clue how these works to be honest.”

“Urgh, I know a bounty gets assigned to people that do bad shit to countries, but I was hoping for it to be a lot higher than this. Hell, I'm like four million behind you.”

“You say that like one million isn't bad enough. You realize that with this, I'm going to have to lay low for a while to make sure I'm not targeted right and the same would go for you. The only one that can do missions right now is Konan.”

“Nope! I am not letting her do my job.”

“Also, did you forget that I am not a wanted woman as well?” Pakura asked with a raised eyebrow before she frowned as I winced and took out a third pamphlet.

“Give that a read.” I said as I held it out and she raised an eyebrow as she read the first line before her head snapped back up at me as I nodded.

“Yeah, turns out your old employers don't like the fact that you didn't die during our fight so you're now a wanted woman. I have to admit that I didn't expect the bounty on your head to be honest.”

“3 million?! They're offering 3 million for her alive?!” Even Konan sounded surprised at that while I shrugged as Pakura burned the pamphlet to cinders.

“From what I can gather, they intend to do some…unwanted things to ensure that the next Scorch Style user is allied with the village and not you.”

“You mean force me to have a kid?” She asked with a frown and I nodded as both Yaiko and Konan frowned.

“That's what I could gather from this, especially considering that they added to have people make sure they target your limbs and nothing else.”

“Hah, I never thought the day would come that my country would resort to wanting to turn me into livestock.”

“Hey, at least now you don't have to feel about having left them.”

“That…is true. Hey, didn't you have a B-Rank mission for Suna?” She asked and I raised an eyebrow before nodding as she grinned.

“Good. Let's go.”

“…You two okay with looking after the tower?” I asked even as I followed after Pakura and Konan simply nodded as Yahiko gave a thumbs-up.

“We got things here. Go and…massacre some Suna people.”

“Oh, we plan to!” Pakura's voice echoed from outside the room and I sighed before following after her.

Looks like today's about to be a bloodbath.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“That the base?” Pakura asked as the two of us stood atop a hill and I nodded as I looked down, having grown used to looking down on shinobi as I watched the Suna shinobi scurrying about.

“Yeah. Apparently, this base has some secret documents that Ame could find useful in figuring out how to repel them back to their country.”

“Then they'll be at the smaller tent to the left. They usually like to use the big tent as bait as it's kept empty with nothing other than a crap ton of explosive tags to be used at any moment.”

“…Okay, anything else?” I asked and she smirked before pointing to the left section of the camp.

“When you get close to the camp, watch out for any poison tags, no matter if it looks like it had been activated or not. Each tag is set up with a primary poison gas and a secondary neurotoxin that explodes outwards and paralyses everyone it touches.”

“Well, great. Okay then. You ready?” I asked and instead of responding, I raised an eyebrow as this girl leapt off the cliff with an excited laugh, shaking my head as I tilted over the edge before blasting down alongside it.

Summoning Jutsu: Bring Down The Serpent!

With a few rapid hand signs and pressing my hands to the sky, I grinned as a large kanji circle spread out below me right as a gigantic snake dropped from the sky with a large puff of smoke.

Puppet Technique: Kunai Dance!

However, as I landed on it, my eyes widened as I quickly took out a pair of kunai before rapidly parrying the ones flying around the snake and towards me, grunting as it landed on the camp and began slithering around while I frowned as I saw a shinobi having made it onto its back.

'Can't say I recognize him. Also, should someone be squinting their eyes that much?' I thought with a raised eyebrow as the shinobi looked at me and we didn't say anything as chakra scalpels formed around my hands while the man in question summoned two puppets at his side.

The one on the left looked to be some kind of weird fusion between a shark and a tiger while the one on the right had the wings of a bat for arms while its legs was that of a lion.

I didn't miss the clear liquid dripping from the second puppet's claws and simply spun my kunai slowly as I watched the man flick a finger and sent the shark puppet blasting towards me.

Waiting until the last moment, I smirked as I moved out of the way while activating the Asura Path, the man's eyes widening as two arms grew out from my left side and punched right through the shark while I grew out another right arm that pulled my original out.

With a grin, I unleashed the dozens of missiles out from it and targeted the puppeteer with them all, quickly dismissing the snake below us right as the man got hit with missile after missile from all sides.

'Damn, you just gotta love the Paths, huh?' I thought with a smirk as I landed, using the smoke from the snake as cover to slip through the camp while ignoring the mummified corpses left in Pakura's wake.

The woman had a lot of issues and pain to work through and I was not trying to get that anger pointed at me.

“Hmm, it appears that we were wrong on your abilities. Perhaps your modifications also helps with giving you access to different weaponry.” To most, the voice would be haunting but to me?

I nearly shat my pants as I slowly turned around, feeling just a smidgen of fear at the older woman in front of me as she smirked while summoning a puppet besides her with a simple snap of her fingers.

“From the looks of your face, you know who I am, yes?” The Granny Chiyo asked with a smirk as the humanoid puppet besides her began to click its jaw and I cursed as I readied myself for the battle to come.

I just had to feel cocky about the first battle, didn't I?

A/N: And Nagato thought it would be a simple extermination, but now he has to face against the poison specialist of Suna in the war.

Will he have enough skills to survive and win or will Granny Chiyo catch another body?

Find out in the next chapter: Six Paths vs Ten Puppets

P.S. I've also altered a few things as I made it so that most of the people Nagato's snakes killed in the camps and with his explosions were Chunin and Genin.

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!

Comments

Yeah, that first part does sound better. I'll change that now

Ethan

Either just leave that part out or mention what targets he killed: Genin, Chunin, Jonin, civilians, ... maybe also mention Nagato "kidnapping"/taking a hostage (Pakura) All Shinobis are mass murderers, so putting that on a bounty is unnecessary. As for the "Genocide" part, just google list of genocides. You will learn more what they are there.

Okita-Chan

There are so many words for it out there that it stumps me. Is the correct term 'genocide' or 'slaughter'? Or something else?

Ethan

Why does his bounty say "Genocide" ? That is definitively the wrong word used here "" genocide the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group. "a campaign of genocide" ""
