Devilish Gaming: Ch.27

The moment the spar began, Chad blitzed forward while throwing a left jab at Tatsuki's head and the girl quickly leaned out of the way while throwing a high kick at his head.

Catching the leg and throwing her to the side, Chad lunged at her with a fist pulled back, swinging a wide hook as a feint that made Tatsuki leap back right into the path of a cross thrown to her chest.

The attack landed and while she felt the wind being knocked out of her, Chad grunted as he felt a kick impacting his abdomen, ignoring it and waiting for Tatsuki to catch her breath.

“You okay for another?” He asked as he watched her breathing heavily, waiting as she stood up before smirking as she was the one to charge at him this time.

With a graceful spin, Tatsuki leapt into the air and swung a kick at his head, the teen quickly leaning back and making the kick miss before lifting his front leg while backstepping as she dropped into a leg sweep.

Stomping forward and down at her, Chad was not surprised as Tatsuki did a handstand to dodge the attack while lashing out with a kick at his chest, lifting his left shin to block the attack before pushing her back.

Coming in with his own axe kick down at her, he felt the attack connect before frowning as she had blocked it before it could gain momentum, steadying his supporting leg and shifting it to the side right as Tatsuki threw a kick at it.

However, her kick only sent a slight spark of pain through his leg before he forced his kick down, forcing the girl to hook her legs around his supporting one and pull herself out of harm's way.

Spinning around to try and land a punch, Tatsuki quickly wrapped her legs around his arm while wheezing as his punch connected with her chest, but Chad winced as he raised his other arm to blockthe moment she pulled him down and threw elbow after elbow at his head.

Grunting as each one came close to hitting his head, Chad grabbed her arm before lifting her up with a grunt, but Tatsuki smirked as she unfurled her legs from his arms and wrapped them around his neck.

Realizing too late what she was doing, Chad's vision spun as she punched down with her free arm, feeling himself getting dizzy and letting go right as she clasped her hands together and brought them down with a hammer fist.

However, her eyes widened as she felt Chad grabbing her waist, pain erupting in her back as he slammed her down back first into the ground.

'Ooh, yeah~ That…was painful.' Chad thought to himself as he blinked, shaking his head and wincing at the headache before looking at Tatsuki right as she groaned.

“You…you okay?”

“Y-Yeah…I used…my spiritual energy to muffle…the last one…” Tatsuki managed to get out as she continued to lay on the ground, to which Chad simply gave a thumbs-up before he sat back down.

Letting his soul heal itself instead of using either Diablo or High-Speed Regeneration to help, it took a minute or so before the world finally stopped spinning, Chad standing up and helping a groaning Tatsuki up before helping her walk over to Orihime.

“I see you both have gotten skilled in hand-to-hand combat, huh?” Yoruichi spoke with a smirk as Chad helped Tatsuki sit down, nodding while the girl simply groaned as she laid back.

“However, you are still holding back too much, mister. You can't call it a spar unless the both of you are going all-out while keeping within the limits of the match rules.” Chad simply frowned at that before shaking his head as Tatsuki glared at him.

“I'm not the violent type. I can't just…switch on my rage.”

“Are you calling the rest of us violent?” Uryu asked with a disgruntled frown before huffing as Chad shrugged.

“All of you other than Orihime.”

“Thank you, Sado!” Orihime thanked him with a smile as she finished restoring Ichigo's body, the other orange-haired teenager of the group giving her a thankful smile before looking at Chad with a smirk.

“I know how you feel, bud, but we can't afford to hold back now. How else do you expect Tatsuki to improve if you don't push her to her limits?”

“Yeah, what the goofball said.”

“Oi, I'm helping here and my payment is an insult?”

“Eh, just getting you back for all those years you ignored me.” Tatsuki spoke with a shrug and smirked as Ichigo rolled his eyes.

“Ignoring those two, what I can say is that if you don't wish to fight because you want to, fight because you have to. Sometimes, fighting to protect makes one stronger than fighting just because you want to.” Yoruichi spoke with a smile as she placed a hand on Sado's shoulder, who frowned slightly before he nodded.

“Okay, I think I get it. Do you want to fight again?” Chad asked as he looked at Tatsuki, who nodded with a grin as she stood up and the two of them walked a few meters away from the others.

'Fight to protect those you love. Fight to protect your pride. Do not hesitate. Do not fear.' Chad thought with a deep breath as he raised his hands up, digging his feet into the ground as Tatsuki went into her opening kata.

“Begin!” The teen didn't even register Yoruichi's voice as he blitzed forward, each step accelerating him even further and surprising Tatsuki as he was in front of her before she could blink.

Throwing a jab at her face, the girl quickly shifted to the side while throwing a high kick at his head, Chad catching it and pulling her closer while lashing out with a right hook to her side.

The girl felt the wind leaving her lungs as the punch smashed into her left side, but Chad was not done as he kicked out her other leg, lifting and throwing her up into the air by the one leg he gripped before slamming her back first into the ground.

Leaping back to give her time to stand up, Chad was wary and slightly concerned as he saw Tatsuki laying still for a few more seconds before letting out a relieved sigh as she stood up, the girl rubbing her head and blinking rapidly to get the dizziness out.

“You okay?”

“You hit like a truck on steroids, did you know that?”

“I'm sorry. Do you wish for me to hold back?” Chad asked and Tatsuki snorted as she rolled over to her feet before shaking her arms.

“Not in the slightest. Keep going for more.”

“And this time, both of you use your full abilities!” Yoruichi called out and they looked to where she was supervising Uryu shooting arrows at Orihime's shield before Chad turned to Tatsuki who shrugged.

“If you can handle me going all-out.”

“I can.” Chad spoke with a smile as Brazo Izquierda del Diablo appeared around his left arm, making Yoruichi raise an eyebrow at the new addition while Tatsuki looked surprised even as the golden energy of her ability surrounded her hands and feet.

“Did it evolve or something?” She asked and Chad smirked before nodding as he clenched his left fist, already feeling the corrosive sparks of Diablo's energy flowing through him.

“Something like that. What about you? I see yours is not the same either.” He said while gesturing towards the energy around Tatsuki's hands and feet, which now had the added addition of a scale-like designs to the golden flaming energy.

“Oh, mine had somewhat of an evolution too. I'm calling it…Gekirin(Imperial Wrath).” Tatsuki spoke with a shrug as she pulled her hands closer to her body and Chad hummed at the name before rolling his shoulders.

“Ready when you a-!” He had to lean back before he could even finish his sentence, Tatsuki appearing in front of him with a spin and a kick aimed at his jaw.

Quickly lashing out with his own stomp, Tatsuki slipped past it only for Chad to stomp on the ground, unleashing a shockwave that pushed back Tatsuki for a brief moment and just long enough to give him time to reorient himself before she rushed at him once again.

“Kaeshi Kiba(Fang of Retribution!)” Chad readied himself as Tatsuki announced her first attack, raising the Brazo Izquierda del Diablo to block the punch while throwing out his punch with his normal fist.

However, he frowned as he felt a dull impact through the Hierro surrounding his arm while Tatsuki slipped under his counter and landed a second punch to his side.

Chad was surprised as he felt a spark of pain in his side from where the kick had landed, quickly lunging back as Tatsuki rushed at him and landed a heavy kick to his upper arm.

This one felt far stronger than the first or second punch as it felt as if someone had taken a metal I-Beam to his arm even though he had Hierro activated, the teen gathering spiritual energy to normal fist and punching the ground to let out a powerful explosion.

However, he frowned as he saw Tatsuki lunging through the explosion with a fist pulled back, doing the same with Brazo Izquierda del Diablo before punching forward right as he did the same.

He smirked as the air he punched warped right as Tatsuki hit it, her eyes widening as she watched the air where she had punch slowly stretched out to its limits before she was sent flying back when Chad made it explode.

'Her ability definitely has something to do with her punches.' Chad thought with a frown as he rushed in, coming to a sliding stop with his normal hand raised to catch her punch while stomping out and sending her flying backwards.

'That was definitely not more painful than the one I had taken before. So if she lands a hit whether I block it or not, the next one is most likely going to be stronger than the previous one.

“Your ability is a lot different than before.” Chad began as he rushed in and Tatsuki smirked when she quickly slipped past his initial feint jab, raising an arm to block his left hook before leaping back as he tried to catch her leg with a kick.

Watching as Chad aimed a kick at her side, Tatsuki went to lift a leg to block it only to realize it was a feint as Chad stomped down and swung his Brazo Izquierda del Diablo with a wide hook aimed at her side.

Tatsuki quickly dismissed her ability and warped the air around her body in the form of an elastic red energy suit with the help of Fullbring, but she still couldn't help the wheeze that escaped her lips when her body curved around his punch before she was sent bouncing away from boulder to boulder.

Chad, however, was quick to rush forward and catch her with a grunt right as Orihime's fairies created a shield behind him, the teen slamming into it with a grunt before stumbling slightly as he gave her a thankful nod.

“Thanks for that…Urgh, feels like I'm going to throw up…” Tatsuki groaned as Chad helped her stand, the two of them walking over to Yoruichi where the woman looked at them with a smirk and nodded.

“Not bad there, Sado. I'm guessing the new arm is different from the old one? Wait, can you still call the old one?” She asked and in response, Chad formed the Brazo Derecha el Gigante around his right arm for a second before dismissing both.

“It's more focused on offensive power while the old one is more for defending.” He answered and she nodded before looking at Tatsuki who was lying on the floor face down.

“As for you, it's safe to guess that your ability works by boosting your striking power every time you land a hit, yes?”

“Yep. It doubles my striking power for every hit and the boosts stack on top of each other up until the tenth strike, at which point I either need to unleash the attack all at once or wait until it resets before I can start a new chain combo.”

“That is quite the powerful technique, especially when you combine your Fullbring ability with every strike or with the last strike at least.” Yoruichi spoke with an impressed smile, Chad looking just as impressed as Tatsuki gave a thankful smile at the praise and nodded.

“Thank you, but I feel like I can go further beyond, as if the tenth strike is just the tip of the iceberg.”

“That is how it is with most techniques. It may sound limited at the start, but the more you train it, the more you lear on how to control and exceed your limits. Chad, I'll be busy with Tatsuki for the rest of the day so you go and train the others. Tomorrow, I'll help you with mastering your techniques.”

“Got it.” Chad nodded and the tanned woman nodded before walking away with Tatsuki, turning towards the others where Ichigo was resting while Uryu was lazily shooting arrows at Orihime.

'Diablo, can I train in my mindscape?'

“Yeah, you do it through a little something called Meditation. Wait, do you want to?” Diablo asked in an excited tone and Chad sighed as he sat down and closed his eyes.

'Yeah, I want to fight you more to gain a better understanding of my techniques.'

“Oh, this is about to be fun.” Diablo growled and Chad opened his eyes to find himself standing at the top of a favela, looking down at the hundreds of houses stretched below him as far as the eye can see before turning to the side right as Diablo grinned at him.

“Hollow state from the get-go?” Chad asked as the Brazo Derecha el Gigante and the Brazo Izquierda del Diablo appeared around his arms, to which Diablo grinned as his spiritual energy surged out wards from his body.

“Need something to help you panic a bit more.” The teen just shook his head at his Hollow's excitement as he clenched his fists a few times, watching as the Hollow mirrored his stance and did the exact same.

A second later, the rooftop caved in as the two lunged forward, both pulling their Brazo Derecha el Gigante back before swinging forward with roars.

“This is a dumb plan.” Chad whispered to Ichigo as the two of them stood hidden in the treeline near the back of the Sokyoku Hill, watching as the Captain Commander of the Shinigami spoke while Rukia was held in the air by a trio of boxes.

“It is not!”

“We even had to let Orihime, Tatsuki and Uryu go ahead and cause a ruckus amongst the Seireitei to draw the attention of most of the Shinigami away from the hill.” Chad spoke and Ichigo grumbled before they looked forward as they heard the cry of a bird.

As they did so, Chad had to raise both eyebrows while Ichigo blinked at the sight of a monstrous flaming phoenix hovering majestically in the air, a gust of scorching winds being given off with each flap of its wings while its beady eyes were focused on Rukia as she took a deep breath.

“Remember, I'm the first strike and then you, okay?!” Ichigo whispered and Chad nodded before the orange-haired teen rushed in, the other teen waiting patiently as he watched Ichigo block the bird's beak from impaling a surprised Rukia.

“Status.”

Chad had to wonder whether or not Yoruichi was taking it easy on them before as she had really stepped up her training game by a couple of notches when she found out that they all had defeated some high-ranking Shinigami.

That was especially for him when she learned that he had not only Hierro but also High-Speed Regeneration and Fullbring to help him with training.

Why he decided to tell her about them, he couldn't tell you, but what he can say is that she went from a bit of a harsh training to borderline sadistic as she had pushed him beyond his limits.

Hell, he can't even remember Kugo or Jackie doing the same and that says a lot when one considers just how much those two loved to push him.

However, he had to admit that the woman knew how to make someone stronger as he had never seen almost ALL of his skills going up a rank, which most definitely made up for all the pain he felt.

'And there's the signa-Is that Renji?' Chad thought in shock as he had went to catch Rukia only for Renji to appear from the hill's entrance right as Ichigo threw Rukia towards him, watching as Ichigo shouted at Renji to leave right as three of the lieutenants rushed to stop him.

'Well, time to do my part.' Chad thought as he rushed out, Sonido boosting his acceleration as he rushed out right as Ichigo stopped two of the lieutenants from continuing on.

Not wanting to underestimate anyone, the Brazo Derecha el Gigante and Brazo Izquierda del Diablo appeared around his arms as he wrapped the reishi of the air around him, transforming it into invisible armour while activating Hierro as well as he watched the older lieutenant taking out his katana.

However, Chad's eyes widened and he quickly raised Brazo Derecha el Gigante right as the lieutenant flew past him, his Shikai now activated as he now had a silver rapier with a curved handle and sparking with yellow electricity.

“Impressive that you blocked my attack.” The silver-haired older gentleman spoke with a frown as he turned around, his white jinbaori rustling in the slight breeze around them while his pupilless hazelnut-brown eyes were narrowed at Chad.

The teen in question turned around as well while taking a glance at where his arm had taken the attack, frowning at the shallow cut on the Brazo Derecha el Gigante despite the fact that he had used every defensive move he had to block the attack.

“Thank you. I don't suppose you would be willing to not have a battle?” Chad asked even as he shifted his stance, resting his left arm parallel to his waist while keeping his right fist up as the lieutenant simply raised an eyebrow before placing one hand behind his back.

“Not in the slightest. Will you surrender or will you die?” He asked and Chad took a look at where Ichigo was blocking Byakuya before turning back with a confident and determined smirk as his Reiatsu surged forward in the form of a reddish-black pillar of spiritual energy.

“No, I will endure.”

A/N: And the final battles kicks off as Chad now goes on to distract Chojiro long enough for Renji to get away and for Ichigo to finish his fight.

Will he win? Not in the slightest as I want to do Chojiro justice(especially since he wields one of my favourite elements), but I will be trying my best to work towards a high-diff loss or even a draw if I can.

Anyway, next chapter, Lightning vs the Devil. Let's see who wins.
