22)Foxy Adventures: Ch.22

“However, what you need to understand is that the chakra of the average Uzumaki is far more potent than the chakra of the average shinobi. Therefore, you need to add less chakra than what anyone else would normally add, understand?”
“Right.” She nodded and I nodded before gesturing for her to begin, to which she stood up while picking up the water balloon besides her.
“Now the first step is…”
“Rotation.” She answered and I smiled before picking up my own water balloon out of the bag that we had bought.
“Precisely. Instead of rotating it in just one rotation, you need to rotate your chakra in many different directions in order to ensure that the balloon actually pops.”
“That is evident. If the chakra was just rotating in one direction, the balloon would just expand, but it would never pop.”
“…Well, you got it all under control so let me see what you got.” I spoke with a grin as I took a step back, crossing my arms while watching as Karin held the balloon with both hands and took a deep breath.
“How long until you think she gets it?” Jiraiya asked as he sat down besides me and I raised an eyebrow at him before looking back at Karin to see her balloon flattening out.
There was the occasional bump that popped out here and there, but other than those, nothing else happened for a couple of minutes before she grew frustrated and clenched it too hard.
“…I'd say a couple of days. So, what did you teach them?” I asked as I turned to look at where my clones were training, raising an eyebrow at them all lying face flat and shirtless on the floor while Jiraiya hummed.
“The first step to the Earth chakra nature, especially since you specialize in the chakra natures that are the exact counters and opposites of Fire and Lightning. That and with Earth Style, you at least have a counter for Wind and Water Style jutsu now other than just attempting to overpower it.”
“…That is true. And what about the fuinjutsu?” I asked as I looked over to the spot where the last twenty five clones were and was bewildered at the sight of them all sitting down with a scroll in front of each of them while they slowly wrote on it with their calligraphy brushes.
“I had a clone go buy those along with the balloons and the balls. Basically, I want you to have the best handwriting you got before we move onto things that are more dangerous.”
“Okay and what am I doing?” He simply smirked before I blinked as I found a stack of heavy books in my arms, looking down to read the title of the first book before looking back up at Jiraiya as he crossed his arms with a grin.
“You…are going to be learning advanced battle tactics and the numerous other guidebooks and manuals that a Special Jounin needs to know. After all, you still want that promotion to Jounin, right?” He asked with a smirk and I snorted as I placed the books down before sitting down as well.
“Naturally. What's the time limit?”
“By the end of this mission, I'm going to quiz you and if you get a passing grade, I could bring you a couple steps closer to getting that promotion early.”
“And what's the passing grade?”
“95%. Anything below that is a fail.” Jiraiya spoke with a shrug and I looked at him before letting out a soft sigh as I picked up the book on The Hidden Leaf's Advanced Hand Signals and started reading it.
'This is about to become a long week.'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Nice! Keep it up!” I exclaimed with a grin as I stood off to the side, Karin nodding through gritted teeth while holding a barely stable Rasengan in-between her hands.
“Got! It!”
“Don't worry about power or rotation. For now, just focus on keeping it contained as much as you can!”
“R-Right!” Her arms were trembling as she struggled to contain it, but I had hope as I watched her concentrating to her best before quickly rushing forward as I saw her gasp and it began to warp.
Chakra gathered to my arms as I crossed the distance within the blink of an eye, my hands grasping her own and fuelling my own chakra in a shell around hers before she gave me a thankful smile as the hurricane was kept contained.
“You okay?” I asked and she nodded as she took a deep breath, slowly letting her pull her chakra back into her body before shaking my head as she nearly fell over had I not caught her.
“It took the Fourth Hokage three years to finalize and perfect the Rasengan. It took me one year to learn it and you barely took a week to fully figure it out. Man, some people have all the luck.”
“Hey, why ain't I in that list?” I asked with a raised eyebrow before smirking as he gave me a sour glare.
“You and your Shadow Clones don't count.”
“You're just mad you didn't learn it in a day like I did and that you didn't come up with using your clones for training like I did.”
“Yeah, but not all of us can use a hundred clones at a time to use willy-nilly.”
“Eh, I'm just built different.”
“Say that again and we'll see how different you are without my chakra.” Kurama spoke up and I smirked as I watched Jiraiya and Karin talking about her progress.
'You forget that I was bathed in your chakra for nine whole months while I was in my mom's womb, didn't you? I'm still built different with or without your chakra.'
“You were…but you're barely scraping the bottom of the barrel for actually being strong.”
'Yeah, yeah. You were made from half of the Ten Tails and you're still not strong enough to take on Madara.'
“That monster does not count and you know it. Besides, he used his Sharingan, but if we fought one on one, I would destroy him like the vermin that he is. Him and every other shinobi in history.”
'Well, I like to think that his Susano'o would give him a fair chance against you. Also…Hashirama.'
“…Fuck you.” I snickered at his answer as we both knew that Hashirama was this universe's equivalent of drawing all five pieces of Exodia whenever someone wanted to powerscale characters that weren't the Ten Tails' Jinchuriki or an Otsutsuki.
'Love you too, bud. Anyway, I've got the basics down of Earth Style after a week of non-stop training along with having mastered a few Wind and Water Style jutsu. Fuinjutsu is more of a slow and steady approach so I'll leave that one for the clones, which leaves me with…absolutely nothing to do. You know what that means, right?'
“Oh yes.”
'Wait! Not yet!' I could feel his disappointment as I stopped him from sending me his chakra and I cleared my throat to draw Jiraiya's and Karin's attention.
“Hey, Pervy Sage. Time for some foxy training. I'm going to need you on standby.”
“…Hah, sure. Ready when you are.” He answered as he sat down while placing the Toad Scroll at his side, taking out a storage scroll from his vest and sending a bit of chakra to it.
With a large puff of smoke, I watched as the man pulled out a calligraphy brush, numerous pots of ink and almost a dozen or stacks of paper tags that came up to my waist.
“Damn, there's no faith in me, huh?” I asked with a smirk and he snorted as he took out a brush and dipped into the ink before beginning to draw the first tag.
“Not in the slightest. Now, come on and let's get this done. We only have until midday before we continue our search for Tsunade.”
“Got it.” I nodded as I took a deep breath, closing my eyes before smirking as I heard Kurama's excited voice speaking.
“Can we start now?”
“Let it rip.” I spoke both out loud and to him, his answer coming a moment later as I felt an intense pain bubbling up from my stomach, making me nearly fold over in half as I gritted my teeth and let it flow through me.
Moments later, I gasped as the power quickly flooded my body afterwards, the euphoric feeling of it nearly enveloping me fully before I shook my head as I watched the red chakra bubbling around my body.
“Naruto? You still good?” I heard Jiraiya ask and gave a slow nod as I felt the energy high slowly creeping in.
“Just…just great.” I groaned as I clenched and unclenched my fists, licking my teeth and feeling my canines having been sharpened significantly while my senses had been dialled up a few notches.
“Good, the energy high is settling in so you just need to keep taking deep breaths and you'll be fine.”
'Look at you being supportive.' I thought with a smirk as I followed Kurama's advice, hearing him huff as I slowly began to stretch my body.
“I have been thinking over what you said. About us needing to work together to defeat Madara.”
'And you decided that it would be better for me to let you out and for us to work together?” I asked before rolling my eyes as he growled.
“…Yes…”
'Uh, Kurama, you sure? I can just feel your blood boiling over at the fact of saying that.' I was a bit hesitant in asking that and I could hear him taking shaky breaths before he answered.
“I'm…!…Positive!”
“…Okay then. This isn't just another trick, right?” I asked as I appeared in the mindscape with a thought, looking up at the beast as he stared down at me with deep scarlet red eyes.
“It is not.”
“Kurama…” I asked with a stare and he rolled his eyes as he laid down.
“I swear on my tails that this is not a trick.”
“…Fine, I swear if this is a trick, I have no qualms getting Pervy Sage to seal us both in a cage for eternity. After all, that gives me an eternity to beat the shit out of you non-stop.”
“As if you could.” He snorted and I rolled my eyes before finding myself back on the outside world, grinning as the pain had vanished and all that was left was pure power flowing through my veins.
“Holy…holy shit. This…is awesome!” I growled as I raised both hands to face each other before grinning as a maelstrom of dark violet chakra gathered in between them.
…Holy shit.” I heard Jiraiya whisper and I didn't blame the man as I felt the potency of the chakra inside the Rasengan, with it being nearly three times as potent as the one I made with my normal chakra.
There was just one problem, though.
“You can't let that chakra get back into your body and dispersing it into the air would make the air poisonous to anyone near you that can't withstand the effects of my chakra, i.e. the plant life and your cousin.”
'Oh, I know.'
“Pervy Sage, got any place where I can use this?” I asked as I looked at the man, who wasn't even looking up as he continued drawing o the tag before lifting it up and holding it up.
“Aim for this.” He said as he threw it at me and I didn't waste any time as I slammed the Vermillion Rasengan into the tag, watching in both shock and awe as the attack was slowly being absorbed by the tag.
“…I think I need to learn some fuinjutsu too.” Karin spoke up as we watched the tag fall to the fall, the previously empty centre of the kanji circle now having the character for 'Chakra' in it as the sage stood up and picked it up.
“This will be nice to study. Maybe I can figure out a better way to seal the Nine Tails' chakra way in case he does go on a rampage.”
'Kurama, he doesn't know.'
“That's the only reason why my chakra has not lashed out and taken his head off.” The fox growled and I rolled my eyes as I took a deep breath, letting his chakra sink back into my body before looking at Karin as she walked closer.
“You okay now?”
“Yep, Kurama said that he's going to help me control it from now on.”
“You believe him?” Jiraiya asked and I shrugged as I watched the man sit down.
“Kind of. If he didn't want to, he would have straight-up told me he didn't want to. Despite how he may seem to you guys, he's actually just a big fluffy fox that wants to enjoy his off-time away from humanity's idiocy.”
“…Huh, never thought of it like that. You are 100% correct.” Kurama spoke with a hum and I snorted before looking at Jiraiya as he stared at me.”
“..What?” He simply continued staring before smirking as he walked back to his tags.
“Nothing. You wanna continue with this?” He asked and in return, I smirked as I felt Kurama's chakra flowing through my body once more, clenching my fists and letting out a growl that sent steam flying from my lips.
“Oh yeah~”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“…I thought you said there was a castle here?” Karin asked as we stared at the pile of rubble on the floor, both Jiraiya and I frowning as I looked at one of the guys running away.
“What happened here?”
“S-Some giant snake and a lion with wings appeared out of thin air and completely destroyed the castle!” He shouted before he continued running and while the snake was far too recognizable for me not to know, I looked at Jiraiya only to see the same confused expression on his face.
“Lion? There's a Lion Summon out there?”
“To hell if I know. Karin, you know about something like that?”
“Not in the slightest. The only summons I know of are the Toads, the Slugs, the Snakes and Hanzo's Salamander.”
“Same here.” I answered with a shrug and Jiraiya hummed at that before shaking his head and continuing on with his walk.
“Hah, we're not going to get any information just standing around here.”
“Got it. What spots are we hitting first? The gambling houses, the bars or the debt collection offices?” Karin asked and Jiraiya smirked before patting us both on the head.
“Neither. With the Snake and Lion Summons, I know that she's in here so all we need to do is use your chakra sensing and your negative emotion sensing to find her. Tomato-head, you look for the biggest chakra in the city other than us three and you look for anyone harbouring copious amounts of guilt, sadness and anger.”
“…Is he really just going to push his duties onto a bunch of kids?” I whispered as I leaned over to Karin, who snorted as Jiraiya rolled his eyes.
“What else do you expect from a guy called Pervy Sage? You would think he'd at least try to clear his name, but I guess some people just have no shame.”
“You realize I can still hear you, right?”
“Oh, now he hears us. Man, some people are just getting up there in age, huh?” Karin muttered with a shake of her head as she made a Tiger hand sign and I snickered as Jiraiya huffed while crossing his arms.
'Kurama?'
“To the north-east. Someone has a good amount of rage in them, but I'm also detecting some resentment and wrath to the far north-western edges of the town. Three total.”
“I got two chakra signatures to the north-east and another three to the far north-west. However, two of the three in the north-west are equal to the one in the north-east and yours, Pervy Sage.”
“I detect someone with potent rage and sadness in the same north-east along with some suppressed wrath to the north-west.” I answered after Karin and Jiraiya just nodded before leaping onto a rooftop.
“Guess we have to follow.” I muttered as I leapt onto the rooftop, following after Jiraiya with Karin quick on my heels as we headed to the north-east side of town.
Time to see the current strongest kunoichi in the world.
A/N: Sorry for the late upload, but I got home late from work and power-outages have returned for my town so uploads are probably going to be late for the foreseeable future.
Man, I just gotta love living in a country that doesn't care, eh?
Anyway, enough of the real life. Naruto is now training himself to dead along with making sure that Karin is up to par and Kurama finally decided to help~! Whooo~!!
However, since Naruto is still not strong enough to handle all of the Tailed Beast's chakra at once, they have decided to slowly train the blonde up until he can handle everything at once.
Unfortunately, training will have to wait for another time as Naruto and co. now finds themselves finally reaching Tsunade, except Orochimaru and Hiruko have already spoken to her.
What have they offered this time? Guess we'll have to find out.
As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
Ba-bye~!!
