Harbinger of Ruin: Ch.14

“…Did that seriously just happen?” I whispered as I tried my best not to laugh while Saji hid in his face in his hands while sinking into his seat to stifle his laughter.

“Don't talk about it.” Issei grumbled as he sat down, to which I took a shaky deep breath to calm myself down while Saji shook his head.

“W-Who…who the hell asks a girl if he could feel her boobs as an apology?” Saji's voice came muffled through his hands and I shook my head as Issei grinned smugly.

“Hey, she did let me feel them at least.”

“You got to poke one with a finger. Also, you didn't even aim for a boob. You felt the middle of her cleavage and said it felt as hard as a rock.”

“I have never done something like this before. Forgive me if I fail the first time.”

“That can only be used for losing your virginity and when you pick the wrong hole.” Saji cut in and I snorted as Issei grumbled.

“At least you two are good now, right?”

“If he calls my tits rocks again, I'm ripping his wrinkly little balls off.” Raynare grumbled as she walked past with a snickering Kala and Mittelt and I looked at Issei as he blushed and sank into his seat.

“Don't look at me.”

“Don't worry, Issei. We're not judging, but next time, try to at least take the girl out on a date or two before trying something like that.”

“Last time I did that, I got a spear through the gut for my troubles.” Issei spoke with a huff and Saji and I looked at each other before shrugging in unison.

“True. So, where were you before you got here?” Saji asked as he turned to me and I crossed my arms while sitting back in my seat.

“I went with Rias to see her parents as she wanted to talk to them in case they were angry.”

“Wait, you get to call her Rias and not Gremory-senpai?” Issei asked with a shocked and jealous look, making me smirk as Saji shook his head.

“Considering I asked her out on a date, I think I can.” I didn't really want to brag, but~ I did have my pride as a guy to brag to those that are jealous.

“I wish you nothing but hell.”

“I don't understand why everyone's so head over heels for her. I myself am more a lover of the intellectual type.”

“Like Kai-!”

“You keep quiet!” Saji hissed as he quickly threw a napkin at Issei, the snickering idiot catching the napkin as I smirked.

“Ah, so Ms. Sitri is more up your alley, eh? What about Tsubaki? Isn't she kind of the intellectual/ secretary type as well?”

“Nah, Tsubaki likes-!”

“Saji, we say anything and she'll break our balls.” Issei whispered and Saji snorted as I just raised a confused eyebrow.

“Eh, she's not going to hear about it anyway.”

“I'll tell her.” Koneko spoke in a monotone as she sat down on the seat besides me, rolling my eyes at the smirk on her face and the pale complexion of both Saji and Issei.

“Y-You wouldn't tell, right?”

“She would most definitely. I think you guys should just stay quiet.” I spoke and the both of them nodded before I looked at Asia as she sat down next to Koneko.

“You having a good time?”

“Yeah, it's really nice.” She said with a happy smile and I nodded while both Saji and Issei froze as I slowly created a sword that pressed ever so slightly at their backs.

“We're just here to celebrate and have a fun time, right?” I asked with a smile aimed at them and nodded while retracting the swords as they both nodded slowly.

“Ooh~ Someone is very overprotective of their new little sister, eh?” Rias asked with a giggle as she sat down on the open seat on my other side and I rolled my eyes before shaking my head as Asia gave me a confused look.

“Don't worry your little head about it. It's nothing bad.” I said and smirked at her narrowed eyes and the pout before looking at Rias as she giggled.

“Looks like you're in the doghouse.”

“I know, but I think ice cream and a trip to arcade might fix it?” I asked as I glanced at Asia, who looked hesitant for a few moments before smirking as she nodded slowly.

“…Okay.”

“Saturday, then. Anyway, how goes things with you and Ms. Sitri?”

“You do not have to worry, Kiba. We have sorted out our differences and quarrels we have with each other.” Sona spoke as she sat down next to Akeno who sat down next to Rias, the rest of the girls sitting down and filling the seats as the Gremory we were speaking of huffed.

“I said I'd be fine after you give me what I want.”

“And what is that?” I asked and watched as Sona rolled her eyes while Rias huffed.

“She wants me to owe her a favour.”

“That doesn't sound too bad.” Raynare spoke up before she along with the other angels and newer devils looked confused as both Rias and Sona huffed while Akeno, Koneko and I winced.

“For normal people, it's definitely just a simple thing. For devils, though, that can be quite the dangerous thing to do especially when one considers the fact that devils have this tendency to ask for ridiculous favours.”

“But Rias wouldn't do that, right? She's a good devil.” Asia spoke with a happy smile and I hid my smirk at Sona's smug smirk as well as Rias' hesitance before she slowly shook her head.

“No…I am not.” She actually sounded pained to say that, but as Asia turned back to talk with Mittelt and Kalawarna, she glared at the smirking Sitri with a hand held out towards her.

“Do we have a deal, Rias?”

“We have a deal, you sly snake.” She gritted out as they shook hands and I slowly reached over and had to physically pull her hand free before she could punch her smug friend.

“…I still haven't forgiven you for stealing Issei.”

“Wait, I could have been in her peerage?!” Issei asked with a shocked look and I sighed at Rias looking overjoyed when Sona glared at her.

Well…this is going to be a long night, indeed.

“Rias!” I blinked at the rather boisterous voice that spoke up and turned only to be confused and bewildered at the absolute behemoth of a man walking towards us.

With a bright smile on his face and a joyful look in his violet eyes, he looked to be a bit older than us as his black hair was slicked back slightly, but I was more surprised at the incredibly muscular build he had under his black suit.

Walking besides him with a polite smile, a beautiful woman with blonde hair, blue eyes and dressed in a dark violet dress that had a slit up the left leg waved at Akeno, who waved back with a smile as Rias giggled and stood up.

'He looks familiar? Kind of? Man, I should have paid more attention.'

“Sairaorg!” Rias spoke excitedly as she stood up and hugged him, making me raise an eyebrow as he chuckled and hugged her back.

“How's my favourite cousin doing?” He asked and while I was a bit surprised at that information, I kept quiet as Rias giggled and stood back with a smile.

“Just great, especially after I got out of that arranged marriage.”

“Hahaha~ I've heard. Ah, if only you had asked for my help. I would have taken out that Riser for you with no issue whatsoever.”

“And then I would have owed House Bael a favour, something no Devil wants.”

'Okay~ So…I just found out that the anime has taught me absolutely nothing of this world.' So not only is there two new characters that I have no clue about, but now I find out that there might be an entire plethora of characters that I haven't even seen in the anime.

'Well, if I ever needed a reason to understand that this is no longer an anime, I think this is that reason.'

“That is true. However, I am glad to see that there was no need to considering Yuuto here had it all sorted out. That was quite the display of your Sacred Gear.” He spoke and I gave a thankful smile before bowing my head slightly.

“I thank you for the praise, Lord Sairaorg.”

“Ha! No need to be that formal, Yuuto. Just Sairaorg is enough.”

'It's a good thing I went with his name then.' I thought as I nodded before he turned to Sona as she spoke up.

“What brings you here if I may ask, Sairaorg? Usually, you're not one for these types of things.”

“You would be right with the 'usual' part, but it is Rias that we're talking about here so I wanted to show my support.”

“As Sairaorg or as heir Bael?” Rias asked and Sairaorg snorted as he crossed his arms and shook his head.

“As Sairaorg. Satans know the heart attack my father would get if I showed public support to a single house.”

“That…yeah, that is true.” Rias agreed with a sigh, Sona looking just as exasperated before Sairaorg looked at the other members with a grin.

“Anywho, I see you both got some new members for your peerages. Hello, everyone! I am Sairaorg Bael, heir to the Great House Bael and this is the Queen of my peerage and a very close friend, Kuisha Abaddon.”

“It's a pleasure to meet you all.” Kuisha bowed with a smile, which they all returned before I shook my head while Rias groaned as Mittelt spoke up.

“So, is she a very close friend or a very close friend?”

“…Why is that the first question that comes to mind?” Sona asked and Mittelt shrugged as she sat back in her seat.

“A hot guy like him calling a hot chick like her a close friend…one of them has a feeling for the other or they both want to do something, but they don't want to ruin their friendship.”

“…While I do thank you for the compliment, I do not believe that there are any feelings of such sort between us two.”

“We do not.” Kuisha agreed with a smile, but I raised an eyebrow as I saw her looking a bit hesitant to say so before leaning over to Koneko with a hum.

“Does she…?” I didn't finish my whispered words, but I guess I didn't need to as the corners of her lips lifted for the briefest of moments and nodded.

“Hmm~ Okay, if you guys say so~” Mittelt didn't sound too convinced as she stopped her nosy poking, especially after Rias turned her head and aimed a stern look at her.

“I apologize for the nosiness of my Pawn.”

“Do not worry, Rias. Discussions like these are quite good for camaraderie, but unfortunately, I only had enough time to congratulate you as my father doesn't wish for me to stay here long.”

“I'm just happy you came to be honest.”

“So am I. Sona, try not to overwork yourself like usual.”

“Hah, you love making a fool of me, don't you?” Sona spoke with a sigh and Sairaorg chuckled as he nodded before nodding to the rest of us.

“It was lovely seeing and meeting you all. Perhaps, in the near future, we will wage battle against one another to see who is stronger.”

“You do realize that you, Seekvaira, Sona and I are now old enough to take part in the Youth Devil Gathering's tournament, right?”

“I do, indeed. I'll see you then.”

“It was a pleasure to meet you all and it was a pleasure to see you again, Lady Rias.” Kuisha said as she walked to Sairaorg's side while creating a dark violet crest below them, to which Rias smiled and nodded as she stood back.

“You as well, Kuisha.” She spoke and Kuisha returned her smile before they teleported away, Rias turning around and sitting back down happily before Mittelt let out a groan as the heiress spoke up.

“You are still being grounded for talking out of turn.”

“Come on~ It was a good question.”

“It was…but you're still grounded. No sweets for the next three days and if Koneko or Asia tries to sneak you any, they're getting the same ban too.”

“…Sorry.” Asia apologized with an apologetic smile while Koneko patted her friend on the back, making the other blonde groan as I leaned over to the smug Rias.

“You are one ruthless woman.”

“I know.”

“Well, that was quite fun.” Akeno groaned as we reappeared inside the living room of the Gremory Manor, the others nodding as I simply stretched my body before looking over at Rias as she let out a yawn.

“Tired?” I asked and she giggled before nodding.

“Yeah, and sore too. I guess dancing all night can do that to you.”

“Speak for yourself, granny.” Raynare spoke with a snort as she began walking towards her room, Kalawarna and Mittelt looking amused as they followed after before I rose an eyebrow as Rias spoke up.

“By the way, I'll be sleeping in Yuuto's bed from now on.”

“Okay, I'll get our bed ready for sleep.” Akeno spoke with a happy smile as she skipped up the stairs, all of us watching as Rias quickly rushed after the girl before raising a hand towards Mittelt as she went to speak.

“One word and I'll get your ban extended to a week.”

“…Spoilsport.”

“I don't have a ban, Mr. Casanova~” Raynare teased with a grin and I sighed as I just decided to walk past her up to my room.

“Goodnight, Yuuto!”

“Goodnight, Asia.” But not before saying goodnight to my new little sister.

“-but we're in a relationship now so you can't be here anymore!”

“You are not in a relationship yet. That and Yuuto was the one who said that his bed would be open to me whenever I was having nightmares.”

“Are you having one tonight?”

'…Should I interfere?…Nah, that's the epitome of being stupid.'

“Yuuto, we can hear you outside. Just come in.” Rias however seemed to be picking the opposite of what I wanted to do and I sighed as I opened the door and looked inside my room.

I was a bit surprised to see that nothing had been thrown around, but not surprised as I was to see both Rias and Akeno standing at the foot of the edge whilst glaring at each other.

“I feel like if I interfere, that would be a risk to my health and safety.”

“Could you just get in and close the door behind you, please?” Rias asked and I nodded as I did as she asked, walking over to my bed before plopping face first onto it.

“See? He doesn't care.”

“That's because he has had to deal with us for the entirety of his teenage years. He knows how unreasonable we can get.”

“So? You guys can cuddle on one side and leave me on the other.”

“Then I would feel bad and if you get a nightmare, I would feel bad about kicking you out, but I also want tonight to be just us.” Rias continued and I looked to see both her and Akeno looking conflicted before speaking up.

“How about this? Akeno can sleep on one side, you sleep in the middle and I'll sleep behind you. That way, it's a three-way cuddle.”

“No, I need to have skin contact with you.”

“I have noticed that her night terrors have gone down significantly since she started sleeping in the room so that's also why I don't want to kick her out.”

“…Then we can just sleep in the same bed? It's not like we're planning to do something, right?” I asked as I looked to Rias, who bit her lip before slowly shaking her head.

“Well, I wanted to do something, but we are not doing anything.”

“What did you want to do?”

“…Some kissing.” She sounded a bit shy as she mumbled, glaring at Akeno as the girl giggled before turning her glare to me as I looked up at the ceiling.

“I can see that.”

“I know. Well, we can still try if you want.”

“But I want it to be more romantic~!” She whined and I rolled my eyes before shaking my head as Akeno spoke up.

“We could…make it a threesome~”

“No.” Rias, however, shot it down just as quick as Akeno had suggested it and the Queen looked at her red-haired King, who crossed her arms under her ample bosom whilst staring at me.

“What did I do now?” I asked as I noticed the stare and she narrowed her eyes before pointing to the middle of the bed.

“I need to sleep on the left or else, I can't fall asleep.”

“Yay~ That means I get the right side~!”

“…Are women supposed to be this confusing?”

“You want to do what?” Rias asked with a surprised look as it was just the two of us along with Akeno in the clubroom and even she looked surprised as I repeated what I said.

“I want to go to the basement. I think I've found a way to cure his condition.”

“…Hah, Yuuto, you know how much he hates having to come outside?”

“I do, but I really do think that I may have found a way to help this time.”

“Fine, what do we need to do?” She asked with a sigh before frowning slightly as I gave a sheepish chuckle and shook my head.

“Actually, it's just…well, this plan needs to be only me to make sure he doesn't feel too scared to come out.”

“And why, pray tell, does this plan need to be only you?”

“So that we can talk? Guy to guy?”

“I don't think Gaspy is going to like having all the attention on him.” Akeno spoke with a smirk and I shrugged whilst crossing my arms.

“I know, but I truly do believe that I can help him push through his trauma this time.”

“Then, why didn't you do so a few days ago while we were training?”

“…Would you believe me if I said that I may have forgotten about him during that time and only remembered how good he would have been while trying to fall asleep last night? By the way, she gets very handsy when she's restless.” I said while pointing to Akeno, who giggled unashamedly as Rias rolled her eyes.

“Hah, okay. Okay, I guess since we don't have much to go off on, helping Gasper would be a good option to bolster the strength of our peerage.” Rias said with a sigh and I hid my excited grin as she stood up and we walked out the door.

'Time to get my Dio Brando.'

I was going to do the Gasper introduction this week, but I've decided to save it along with the Sitri peerage one to next week along with…a filler arc?

Kind of? Eh, you guys will see what I mean.

Anyway, another short slice-of-life chapter, but there will potentially be a battle next week. Actually, yeah, there will most definitely be a battle next week.
