My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.8

“I'm guessing the meeting didn't go as we expected, did it?” Kanade asked as she watched her husband walk into the bedroom, the man letting out a soft sigh as he shook his head and sat down on their bed.

“Not in the slightest. Half of the clan wants Killua to head to Kyoto's Jujutsu High to do his training there while the other half wants to keep him here and force him to undergo training for the next few years.”

“What was your response?”

“If they can make him do either, they are free to do so. Although, the elders were shitting their pants when Killua threatened to chase them around with Kamutoke if they didn't leave him alone so I'd say everything is under control for now.”

“Good for him. What does Satoru say, though?”

“While he wants Killua to have a normal childhood, he also knows that the boy is mature enough to take on a mission or two. As long as it's not too of a high-ranked mission, it would be fine.” Gintoki spoke and Kanade nodded before the man looked at her as she sighed.

“I'm guessing you don't want to send him out on missions, huh?”

“To be honest, not really. We may have been forced out of Satoru's life and unable to do anything as he was forced on mission after mission, but with this…we can at least make sure Killua doesn't have the same painful life his father had.”

“I understand that, but you understand just as I do that he is his father's son. He will want to improve himself no matter how we feel and I'd rather he'd face those dangerous situations knowing we're there to help him instead of doing it on his own and maybe getting himself hurt.”

“…Hah, fine, but you're not letting him train in Kamutoke unless you truly feel he's ready.” Kanade spoke with a frown and Gintoki chuckled as he nodded.

“But of course~ Now, let us get some rest and tomorrow, we'll see if Killua wants to start his training early.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Is everyone okay?” Killua asked as he stood in front of the gathered group of girls all around, to which the girls all smiled and nodded as Ms. Miwazaki snorted while crossing her arms.

“You don't have to come check up on us, you know?”

“Eh, I want to. Besides, I wanted to come see if you've died of a heart attack yet, especially after your new mansion.” Killua said while gesturing to one of the five mansions on the compound's grounds which had been gifted to the girls by his grandfather to serve as their new 'soaphouse'.

“Oh, this is the first time in a long while that I've wanted to jump a man's bones for the gift he gives me.”

“…Urgh, can anyone get me bleach so that I can destroy my own eardrums?”

“Oh, hush you. Hitomi, girls, pick up your bags and into the mansion! We got a group of horny people coming in later today and I need you all in tip-top shape!”

“Yes, Landlady! Bye, Killua~!!”

“See you guys later!” Killua waved with a smile as the girls quickly rushed into the house, taking a deep breath before looking at Ms. Miwazaki as she spoke.

“You don't have to feel worried about your mother. That woman has gone through hell and back before I found her and I can tell you that she's going to wake up sooner than you expect. Just make sure you're a man she can be proud of when she does.”

“Huh, never expected you to be the one to give me a pep talk. Looks like you do have a heart after all.”

“Oh, go do something else and leave us to start doing our jobs.”

“Sure thing, Ms. Miwazaki. See you later for dinner.”

“See ya, kid.” She waved and Killua watched as she went into the mansion before turning to his grandparents and snickering at the pale look on his grandfather's face as his grandmother had a tight grip on the man's arm.

“…I am never leaving you alone with that woman, understood dear?”

“O-one hundred percent, dear. K-Killua, ready to start your training?” The man asked and Killua grinned as he caressed the Kamutoke attached to his belt hoop and nodded.

“Always. Let's get this started!”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, what are we training first?” Killua asked as he stood in the middle of a large and empty grassy field on the outskirts of the compound, to which Gintoki shrugged as he walked over while rolling his shoulders.

“I'll have to see how strong you are first.”

“You sure? Dad did say you're not as strong as the two of us.”

“Eh, your old grandpa can still show you a thing or two.” The man spoke with a grin as he picked up a wooden bokken on the floor and Killua rose an eyebrow as the man held it with both hands before shrugging.

“Okay, then. It's your…funeral!” His body instinctively leaned back as Gintoki tried to slap his face and he looked at the old man with a frown while also leaping to the side when he swung down.

“Really? I can't even finish my sentence?” Killua asked even as he slid under the bokken thrown at his head, watching as his grandfather rushing forward with a blue aura covering his body while glancing back to see the bokken being pulled back as well.

'An application of Blue like that of telekinesis?…Heh, nice.' Killua thought as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling his grandfather's left punch and the bokken's thrust growing near before his eyes snapped open.

Within a mere second, he moved his head out of the path of the sword thrust while catching Gintoki's punch with his left hand, pulling the man forward while leaping into the air before bringing his right leg down upon his shoulder.

However, Killua was not surprised to see his attack coming to a snail's crawl the moment his kick got near his grandfather, quickly abandoning his attack and crossing his arms in front of him right as the man landed another punch to them.

He expected a powerful punch, but what he did not expect was for the blow to make his arm tremble, feeling as if he was hit by a truck as he was sent blasting through the air.

'What…the hell?' Killua thought in shock as he flipped around, shaking his arms to get the numbness out of them as his grandfather grinned while swinging his bokken from side to side.

“…Was that Blue?”

“Who knows?” The man spoke with a smirk as he held his bokken with his right hand while an azure blue glow covered both the weapon and his left fist, Killua frowning as he channelled his cursed energy through his body.

With a grunt, Killua came to a sliding stop in front of him with a leg pulled back, lashing out with a high kick that Gintoki quickly block with his arm while also aiming a slash at his other leg.

However, the young boy was quick to jump over the attack while bringing his other leg around for a heel kick, Gintoki quickly stopping his attack and raising his bokken to block the kick.

The force behind it though sent him sliding away, the old man spinning his bokken in a reverse grip when he came to a stop before rushing back in and Killua readied himself as the first punch came.

Blocking the punch with his forearm, he pushed it to the side while swinging his other hand with a claw strike, his attack clashing with the bokken before he gripped it and swung his arm down.

Pushing the weapon out of the way, Gintoki let go of it while raising a forearm to block the snake strike to his arm, but he winced as he had activated Limitless a bit too late and suffered a shallow cut for it.

Killua on the other hand smirked as he continued to fuel cursed energy through his body, grinning as he leapt into the air with a few rapid spins before lashing out with a powerful heel kick that made the air tremble while also surprising Gintoki as the blow managed to sent him flying back.

'How did he figure it out?' Gintoki thought with a surprised look as he came to a sliding stop, staring at his grandson as the boy landed with a smirk.

“I see. That's not too bad, eh grandpa?”

“How did you figure it out?” He asked and Killua chuckled before shrugging.

“When you activated Blue on your fist and bokken and aimed a slash at my leg. You could have used Limitless to block me midair while also attacking with the bokken again, but you instead used the bokken to block the attack.”

“I could have been sparing my energy for another counter strike?” Gintoki proposed and Killua crossed his arms as he nodded.

“I thought that too so I used Tiger style to get rid of the bokken and expected you to pull it back to block my Snake style attack, but instead you were a little late in using Limitless and that's when I figured it out.”

“And what is it that you figured out?” Gintoki asked and Killua gave him a sly cat-like grin before he answered.

“You can only use Limitless in burst of three seconds and Blue on two limbs of your body at the same time and when you rapidly switch between them, there's a cool down of thirty seconds to keep your mind from overworking itself before you can use either again, right?”

“…Hah, you are definitely your father's son.” The man muttered as he relaxed and Killua snickered as he shrugged while calming the flow of cursed energy throughout his body as well.

“Eh, it was kind of easy to figure out when I saw you struggling to keep up after you stopped using Limitless or Blue for brief moments.”

“…Do you know how many people have tried and failed to figure out just that part?”

“I'm guessing over a few dozen?”

“No, just two. Most figure it out, but I kill them by the time they do so. You're one and Satoru's the other. …Actually, four since my father also figured it out along with your grandmother, but that's because our techniques are somewhat similar.”

“Cool. So, what's the verdict?” Killua asked and the man snorted before reaching into his kimono top and throwing a card at Killua that he got with a raised eyebrow.

“That's your official license card that's given to all sorcerers whether they're fully trained or not. Since you're not a part of any school, though, you're not registered on any system.” He spoke and Killua hummed while looking at the card.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Killua Gojo

Age: 8 Years Old

Grade: Special Grade Sorcerer

Affiliation: Gojo Clan

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I don't mind being affiliated with the Gojo Clan, but could you add my mom's family name too?” Killua asked and his grandfather rose an eyebrow at the odd request before shrugging.

“Killua Kashima-Gojo sounds good, but may I ask why?”

“Because my mom would kill everyone in the clan and then me if I didn't do that.” Killua spoke with a deadpan stare and a slight smile, to which the old man snorted as he nodded.

“Noted, I'll get some people on that. Anyway, with that, I can start with the next part. You're going to go on a mission with another sorcerer and their sibling.”

“Well, lovely. Who is it?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Nope.” Killua denied instantly as he began walking back into the compound before grumbling as his grandfather rolled his eyes while grabbing his shoulder.

“Why not? She's not that bad.” Killua simply looked at his grandfather before looking at the woman in question, who simply looked amused as she tucked a strand of her blue-tinted silver hair behind an ear while dark purple eyes stared at him amusedly.

He still didn't understand why the sorcerer wore a long and large braid in front of her face to hide it, but he had also long come to terms with the weirdness that comes from many sorcerers and/ or hunters to her weirdness was nothing new to him.

“You know, when I look at Dad, warning bells go off in my head. When I look at her, it sounds as if I'm hearing the sirens of war ringing constantly. She is bad news.”

“Do not talk bad about my sister!” The light blue haired and mint-green eyed boy that was Killua's age growled at him and Killua looked at him before snorting as he crossed his arms.

“And who's going to stop me? Your sister is a danger to society and even she knows it by the shit-eating grin on her face.”

“Listen here, you!”

“Ui Ui, do not fall for his taunts.” The woman spoke with a smile and the boy looked at her with a conflicted expression before nodding as he settled for glaring at Killua.

“As for you, you are quite right when you say that I am a danger to anyone that is not my family…”

“Ha! See?!”

“-but your grandfather here has paid me quite the sum of money to escort you safely on this mission so your warning sirens can stay calm.”

“And what if someone paid you a bigger sum to make sure I don't?”

“That I cannot say.”

“Mei Mei, please do not give him ideas.” Gintoki muttered and the woman simply looked amused before shaking his head as Killua looked at him.

“Hah, if she does try to attack you, you have my permission to take them both out.”

“…Hah, fine. Listen here, old hag-!”

“Old hag?! I'll have you know that Big Sister is one of the most desirable women in the sorcerer world!”

“Good for her! She's still an old hag to me!”

“…Please make sure he gets back alive…and also make sure he doesn't try and kill you all.” Gintoki whispered to Mei Mei as they watched the two boys shouting at each other and the woman simply looked amused as she nodded.

“I will try my best and do not worry. The offer you made is much much more than what the Zen'in offered for his life.”

“Of course it is. Take care, Killua, and remember to wait until she attacks first.”

“Will do, old man! Come on, hag, brat!”

“We're the same damn age! Also, stop insulting Big Sis!” Ui Ui exclaimed as he followed after Killua and Mei Mei looked amused as Gintoki sighed while palming his face.

“Oh, this is about to be a whole batch of trouble.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So, Mei Mei, what's your technique?” Killua asked as he walked besides the woman, who looked at him with a raised eyebrow while Ui Ui snorted.

“Do you honestly believe that she'd tell you?”

“No one was talking to you, brat.” Killua said with a dismissive wave at the boy, who gritted his teeth as Mei Mei smiled amused whilst crossing her arms.

“That depends. What do you believe my technique is?”

“Well, those crows have been following us since we left the compound so I'm guessing it's something to do with them.” Ui Ui was surprised at that while also watching in shock as Killua pointed at the crow that was supposed to be hidden to others.

Mei Mei on the other hand looked more amused and a bit pleased as her smile widened and she spoke.

“That's quite the intuition you have there.”

“It's more my technique, but since I had to work out what yours is, you're going to have to figure out what mine is.”

“I'm guessing your technique is just an extension of Limitless like many of the Gojo clan.” Ui Ui spoke up with a smirk before raising an eyebrow as Killua snorted while placing his hands behind his head.

“Nope. It's got nothing to do with Limitless.

“So, your own unique Innate Technique? Not bad and from the feel of your cursed energy, I can see how you managed to take out Naoya and get that special grade ranking.”

“Precisely. So…where the hell are we at?” Killua asked as Mei Mei came to a stop, looking at the large and abandoned school in front of him before looking at the woman as she spoke up.

“Well, your grandfather said that you wished to truly test your strength so we're here on a special grade case. You are to either exorcise the spirit and if you can't, I shall take over and finish the work for you.”

“…Cool, do we need anything to show that it's gone?” Killua asked as he stretched his body, surprising Ui Ui whilst Mei Mei rose an eyebrow as the boy stretched his arms behind his back.

“You're that confident?”

“Of course.”

“…Very well. No, you simply need to exorcise the spirit and that will be it.”

“Cool! See you guys in a few, then!” Killua spoke with a smirk as he began walking towards the abandoned school building in front of him while letting his cursed energy flow through his body.

'Time to see just how strong I've gotten after the fight against Naoya.'

A/N: Cliffhanger~!! We end this chapter off with Killua getting ready to face off against a special grade while Mei Mei and Ui Ui watch on!!

Next chapter, Special Grades clash and…Domains?! Stay tuned to find out.

Also, Satoru's parents are said to be weak canonically, so I decided to at least give the grandpa something to work to give him a fighting edge.

Anyway, as always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
