'Okay, time to figure out just what to do next.'

“You know that if you lose this next fight, you're going to die, right?” Kurama spoke and I snorted before giving a mental nod.

'I do, but we could also just…not lose, you know? Figure out some counters against them and if all else fails, we just do a tactical retreat.'

“Right, because retreating from two S-Rank shinobi, one of which has the Mangekyo Sharingan, is quite easy, right?”

'You know, the sarcasm is a bit much.'

“It is? Thank you for informing me. I was going for 'very much'.” He answered and I rolled my eyes before looking at Jiraiya as he spoke up.

“You two talking again?”

“Yep. He's asking what you're going to train me in or if we should continue with our own training.”

“And what would this training be?”

“Training how to control one tail…unless he's willing to open the seal?”

“Unless you're willing to open the seal, he's going to teach me how to control one tail. His words, not mine.” I said with a shrug and Jiraiya frowned slightly before I looked at Karin as she spoke up.

“Wait, you weren't kidding? You and the Nine Tails can just…talk to each other?”

“That's right.”

“That is still not something that should be possible. The Fourth's seal is still shut airtight so you should be communicating with him as you are now.”

'…Kurama, you have the better knowledge on sealing jutsu since so many have been used on you.'

“Firstly, go to hell.”

'Love you too, buddy.'

“Secondly, your thought on it being your Yin Chakra is half-correct. The seal was made in mind to keep a child's mind fully protected from my influence, but since your mind is more developed, you are more aware of the inner works of your mind and thus your Yin Chakra itself is more synchronised with my Yang chakra.”

'Ah, so because my spirit itself is more developed than Naruto's, I am able to separate the feeling of your absurdly potent Yang Chakra from my own absurdly potent Yang Chakra and thus be able to communicate directly to you with my Yin Chakra?'

“Correct. Now, go explain to him and let me sleep.”

'Will do, buddy. Thanks for the help as always.' I thanked him before shaking my head with a smirk as he snorted and I felt him going to sleep.

“Naruto, stop daydreaming.” Jiraiya's voice pulled me back and I looked at him to see him staring back with a raised eyebrow.

“Were you talking to him about something or were you just daydreaming?”

“We were talking about how he was able to talk to me and it's basically some Yin Chakra and Yang Chakra shenanigans.”

“…I'm more shocked at the fact that you can use the word 'shenanigans' correctly than the fact that you know of Yin and Yang chakra.”

“Oi, you calling me stupid, Pervy Sage?” I asked with a frown, to which the man frowned in return at the nickname while we both ignored Karin sighing in the background.

“As a matter of fact, I am. What are you going to do about it?”

“You can't exactly call someone stupid when you yourself are a perverted imbecile.”

“Hah! You take that back!”

“I will not!”

“Why did I decide going on this thing was a good idea?”

“Nope! Nope! You are not! Doing this!” I gritted out as I wrapped my hands around Jiraiya's waist, Karin helping me by pulling at my waist while the man tried his best to walk towards the hot smiling woman waiting outside our inn.

“Let me go!”

“No! We're supposed! To be training!”

“We can train! Tomorrow!”

“You can't! Leave us alone!” Karin groaned before I gasped as he spun rapidly, a yelp escaping my lips as I fell face first onto the floor before groaning as Karin fell onto my back.

“I can! You two are grown enough to look after yourself and you are a Special Jonin! You can look after the two of you. Now, let me be me~ Hehehe~!”

“…I'm going to rip his balls off.” Karin grumbled as she stood up, to which I blinked before giving a sly grin as I nodded.

“Yes~ That would help a lot in curbing that perverseness of his.”

“We are not actually cutting his balls off, Naruto. That would be going too far.”

“Yeah, you're right. …We're going to shove a Rasengan up his ass instead!” I exclaimed as I began walking up to our room, taking glee in Karin helping me drag his backpack across the floor behind us.

“It's nice to see you are as petty as I am.” She said with a giggle and I chuckled as I nodded while we ascended the stairs.

“But of course~ We're from the Uzumaki Clan. Being petty and reckless is kind of our thing.”

“Speaking of our clan, do you perhaps know anything else about them?” She asked and I looked at her hopeful look before giving a slightly unsure nod.

“Some things. The clan is supposed to be the best fuinjutsu specialists in all of the Elemental Countries. We have a powerful lifeforce, which is why we heal so quick and why we can tank a shit ton of pain and damage before dying. Some also have very special sensing and sealing abilities and then there are some like me that have absurdly potent chakra to better house the Nine-Tailed Fox, who is also the strongest of the Tailed Beasts in his own words.”

“Wait, is that why I can feel your chakra as well as Pervy Sage's right now?” She asked and I blinked before my eyes widened slightly as I remembered how much of a broken sensory ninja she was in the stories.

“That's cool! What's mine like?”

“Well, it feels bright, joyful and comforting and it's a golden yellow, but then there's also this deep scarlet red chakra inside of you that feels like the wrath of an eldritch being. Like it would cough and the world itself would cry out in pain.”

“…I like this Uzumaki. She's my favourite out of all you tomato-head bastards.”

'Of course you would and my hair is blonde so that means you like me too.' I responded and gave a mental snicker as he grumbled before turning my attention back to Karin right as we stopped in front of our room.

“That sounds pretty awesome. Although, unlike you, I can sense the negative emotions of every person in the vicinity.”

“Really? That sounds so much cooler than mine! Wait, can you heal people when they bite into you too?” She asked before blinking as I frowned.

“When you say 'bite into you', what do you mean by that?” I asked and she looked a bit embarrassed as she rolled up a sleeve before I hummed as I lifted her arm by the wrist while looking at the numerous bite marks all over it.

'Kurama, I know you're asleep, but could we?'

“Hmm, you have more potent Yang Chakra compared to her, but her body is not used to my chakra unlike yours.”

'True. Hah, I guess that's another thing on the list of things to do after I gain control over your chakra.'

“IF you can. Many have said that, but only a few have succeed.”

'If Mom was one, I most definitely can.' Once, I would have felt weird for referring to Kushina Uzumaki as my mother, but after living Naruto's life for as long as I have as well as the fact that the two of us were basically one, it just felt right.

“We shall see.”

“Were you talking to Kurama again?” Karin asked and I shook my head to snap back to reality before letting go of her wrist and nodding.

“I was seeing if he could heal your marks for you, but I first need to gain control over his chakra before I can do so.”

“O-Oh, you don't have to, you know?”

“I want to. You're my cousin so why wouldn't I do what I can to make your life easier?” I answered with a shrug, to which she giggled before I opened the door to our room and dropped Pervy Sage's bag on the floor.

“So, what do we do now?”

“We could train.” She suggested and I smirked as I realized what I could do.

“Okay, then. Let me teach you the Uzumaki special also known as…the Shadow Clone Jutsu.”

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

“Huh, who is that?” One of the four Karin clones in the room muttered as she looked at the door, each of them looking confused while I had a subtle frown as one of the others walked over to open it at the second knock.

“Coming!”

'You ready, Kurama?'

“We get the chance to kill an Uchiha? You bet your ass I am.” Kurama answered with a manic tone and I couldn't help my own grin as Karin opened the door.

“Well, hello there~” Kisame Hoshigaki was as monstrous as I expected when I saw him standing in the doorway, dressed in the Akatsuki cloak with his beady fish-like eyes focused on a confused and concerned Karin while he still had the same shark-like grin as usual.

I, however, made sure that my eyes were looking far away from Itachi's eyes as possible the moment I saw Kisame stepping to the side, a bit surprised at just how young he looked before remembering that this was also the guy that killed the Uchiha Clan along with Obito when he was barely 13.

'Or not. We don't know if this is the same Itachi as the one we knew of, Naruto. He might still be deep undercover or he could be a complete maniac that just actually went insane from the stress.'

“Naruto Uzumaki, you must come with us.”

“Oh, I would, but stranger danger and all that. You understand, right?”

“Oh, we weren't asking.” Kisame said with a malicious grin as he gripped the hilt of Samehada and I smirked before looking directly into a stoic Itachi's eyes.

“Well, I just have one thing to say then. Boom.” With a pulse of Kurama's chakra, the tags around the room and my body lit up before obscuring the entire room in a brilliant explosion.

“Damn, you were right about the memory transfer thing.” Karin grunted as we stood besides Jiraiya on the other side of town, who had a slight frown on his face as we watched two blurs racing towards us.

“You two need to leave.”

“Even if we do, one will distract you while the other comes after us.” I answered and the man frowned before we watched as both Kisame and Itachi landed in front of us with slight frowns.

'No damage. Hah, to be expected.' The only signs that they were actually caught in an explosion was the slight singe marks on the ends of Kisame's cloak, but nothing else other than that.

“Looks like you're not as stupid as our reports said.”

“You can't say that when your eyes are that far apart from each other.” I answered back at Kisame, to which his smirk faded as he frowned before taking the bandaged sword from his back while Itachi's attention was on a frowning Jiraiya.

“I suppose you are finally here to take him, aren't you Akatsuki?”

“So, it's from you that Kakashi learned of us.” Itachi said back and I frowned as I realized that the Kakashi and Itachi fight still happened, my attention focused on Kisame as he rested Samehada on his shoulder.

'Well, Kurama, think we could get him to betray him like with Bee?'

“Not in the slightest. Gyuki's Jinchuriki's chakra supposedly tastes like that of an octopus which is pleasant to the sword. Ours, however, is filled with nothing but malice and anger, so it would just hurt and/ enrage the blade..”

'Well, that's just wonderful…actually…' I trailed off as I called on Kurama's chakra, drawing everyone's attention as my body was obscured in a dark orange chakra and I felt a sliver of Kurama's wrath flowing through me.

“All right! I got a plan! Who's ready to see some explosions?!” I asked with an excited grin as I made a cross hand sign, a cloud of smoke obscuring our side of the roof from view before it dissipated to reveal dozens of my clones scattered across the rooftop.

“Kisame.”

“I know.” Kisame said as he walked forward, raising Samehada from his shoulder and holding it in a tight grip before my clones charged forward with a roar.

A moment later, I realized I may have not given Kisame enough credit as the man lunged forward with a grin, Samehada's bandages peeling off as he begun to tear through the clones like a ravenous shark.

With each swing, two clones were torn to shreds while he swung it around like a flail, using the handle of the sword expertly to block everyone's attacks while Samehada unleashed spikes from the hilts to impale every hand and/ or foot that didn't touch him.

Wind Style: Vacuum Bullets!

Quickly weaving through hand signs, I spat out a rapid fire of piercing wind bullets before smirking as Jiraiya spat out a barrage of flaming oil bullets alongside my attacks.

While we weren't able to do a collaboration jutsu, the winds from the flames were still enough to fan the flames slightly as they grew in size right as Itachi leapt in front of Kisame with his hands in the Tiger seal.

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!

“Oh shit!” I cursed as Jiraiya's and I's attacks were absorbed by the giant fireball flying towards us, making it nearly double in size as Jiraiya quickly dropped down.

I, however, leapt towards Karin before leaping high up into the air, the girl squealing as I created a clone besides me midair before throwing her at him.

“Get her as far away as safely possible and hide away! Make sure no one finds you until she says it's safe!”

“Got it!” He nodded before leaping away right as I created another clone that grabbed me by the collar and threw me towards Jiraiya, who caught me right as a trio of kunai stabbed deep into the clone's chest.

“Damn, are you guys here to kill me?” I asked as Jiraiya and I stood in the middle of a busy street, whose people were quickly running away when they saw us as well as Kisame and Itachi leaping from the rooftop.

“Not at all. We just want to make sure you don't have thoughts of escaping.”

“Considering you're trying to kill me, you can bet I have thoughts about escaping.” I answered and Kisame snorted before I looked at Itachi's feet right as he spoke up.

“If you come peacefully, this does not have to get ugly.”

“…Pervy Sage, they're not worrying about collateral damage.” I said and Jiraiya frowned as he looked at the two shinobi before nodding.

“You're right. Ready?” He asked and I grinned as I nodded, the two men quickly rushing at us before surprising Kisame as I leapt at him while Pervy Sage slapped his hand onto the floor.

Summoning: Bring Down The House

With a large puff of smoke, a giant shadow appeared around us right as I dropkicked the sword-wielding Akatsuki member in the chest, gasping for air at the pain erupting in my feet and the powerful kick Itachi gave me that sent me flying backwards across the ground.

However, that was enough to distract and I smirked as Gamahiro slammed onto the ground with a deafening boom, flattening a few buildings around him while Jiraiya caught me and leapt onto his heads.

“Ken! Start hopping away!” Jiraiya shouted and the toad didn't waste any time as he crouched lowly before leaping high up into the air and into the distance, creating and dispersing a clone right as we landed a few kilometers outside of the town.

Within moments, I smirked as a squealing Karin was thrown high up into the air by the clone that I made along with another one right as Kisame appeared behind it with Samehada raised.

Swinging it down a powerful shockwave not only took the clone out, but also launched Itachi up into the air towards Karin and the second clone, who quickly grabbed her midair before spinning rapidly and chucking her towards us as hard as it could right as a kunai pierced its neck.

Quickly jumping off while creating dozens of clones behind me, we formed a long clone ladder and Karin looked relieved as I caught her while pulling out my own kunai to block the one he threw at us, the clones whipping us up and towards Gamahiro as he landed for a second time.

“Nice plan, kid!” Jiraiya said as I landed next to him with Karin still in my arms, wincing slightly at the kunai in my leg that I missed before ripping it out and letting Kurama's chakra heal the pain

“Anytime, Pervy Sage! You good?” I asked as I looked at Karin, snorting at her shaky smile and thumbs-up before not being surprised as she went slack in my arms and fainted.

“Yep, that was expected. So, where are we going now?” I asked as I looked at Jiraiya, who took a quick glance back at the town we left before looking back to the front.

“We need to get Tsunade and get back to the village so we're going to the biggest gambling hub in the Land of Fire.”

“Good. Man, my first mission out and I'm already fighting against S-Rank shinobi.” I muttered while scratching the back of my head and Jiraiya chuckled before I grumbled as he ruffled my hair.

“Welcome to the life of actually being a shinobi.”

'Hah, at least now I know where I lie in terms of strength against Kisame and Itachi.'

“Yeah, now we just hope that the older brother takes out the younger one and we'll just have to wait for the older Uchiha to die from his sickness.” Kurama spoke with a grin and my eyes widened in horror as I remembered the further events of what was supposed to happen.

“…Son of a fucking bitch!”

A/N: And the chapter ends with no battle having taken place, but with Naruto now stressed out as he forgets about Sasuke!

On the other hand, is Sasuke actually there or will the young Uchiha have to face off against his brother but without back-up this time?

I guess we'll have to find out next time.

Also, Naruto is strong now, but compared to Itachi and Kisame at this time, he is most definitely not at their level yet.

Also, the reason I haven't been abusing the clone training method is because of a simple fact that Kurama still wants to get out and Naruto will still lose control if he uses too much of Kurama's chakra so he still needs Yamato.

However, he can't just go up to ask about him from the old man as that could cause some questions that he can't answer.

Therefore, it's a slow grinding life for him.
