My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.7
Added 2025-02-07 16:51:32 +0000 UTCKillua could only remember one other time when he felt as anxious as he was now and that was when Gon had nearly lost it against that old man Morel.
The dead look in his friend's eyes as well as the rage from his Nen was enough to force Killua to intervene and stop Gon before he did something he regretted.
Now, as he stood outside the hospital room where his mother was currently being diagnosed by numerous doctors, Killua cursed himself for not returning sooner and stopping this from happening.
“Don't blame yourself.” His dad's voice cut through his thoughts and Killua looked at the man with a frown to see him lounging back on one of the seats with his arms crossed and his left leg resting on his knee.
“What?”
“I said don't blame yourself. Naoya was not the one who did the attack.”
“What does that mean?” Killua asked with a frown and Satoru sighed as he looked down from the ceiling and at his son.
“It means that Naoya wasn't behind it. Shoko got numerous calls in this morning that showed surges of cursed energy throughout the country as well as numerous people falling into comas with that same marking on their forehead. Tsumiki was one of them.”
“Wait really?” That surprised Killua as he knew how much she meant to Megumi, Satoru frowning as he nodded.
“When did she fall into a coma?”
“About three minutes before I arrived to find you having nearly killed Naoya.”
“So, this…this was a concentrated attack?”
“Most likely. The only issue is that everyone's story is the same. They were talking and/ or hanging out with the person and then…knocked out like a light.”
“Were there any residuals clinging to them?”
“That's the weird thing. I personally investigated each one as well as both Tsumiki and Hina and saw nothing to show what the markings meant. To me, it looked as if they were all just peacefully asleep.”
“Whoever has done this is someone we need to worry about.” Killua muttered before rolling his eyes as Satorua looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“I'll worry about them. You on the other hand have a different dilemma, that being Naoya and his clan.”
“You think he's going to come back?”
“And with a few more grade 1 sorcerers this time? Absolutely. I know you have been holding back against Megumi and seeing you take out a Special Grade 1 with slight difficulty was a surprise, but you're most definitely not ready to take on so many grade 1 sorcerers and win.”
“I like to think I could.”
“With that instinctive reaction technique of yours? Don't look so surprised. Like I said, I can see all with my eyes.” Satoru spoke with an amused smirk, snickering as Killua's shock vanished and he grumbled.
“Yes, it's not ready yet, but once it is, I can take them out.”
“And what if they attack before then?”
“Then I'll take out as many as I can. I'm sure once they see a kid taking out two or three sorcerers, they'll feel scared for sending in more.”
“It's actually the opposite. Once they find out you're a special grade and that you are my son, I can bet everything I own that they will go all-out to make sure you don't grow up to see your 18th birthday. After all, that would just mean more political and military power for the Gojo clan.”
“Firstly, I don't care for the 'clan'. Secondly, we're going back to that first part. Since when am I a special grade? I thought I was still at grade 1 according to you.” Killua spoke with a frown and Satoru just snorted as he stood up.
A moment later, Killua's body reacted and blocked the punch at his face with an influx of powerful cursed energy, glaring at his father while the man grinned as he saw only a slight bruise forming on his son's arm.
“That right there is why. You really need to stop holding back, you know?”
“I wasn't holding back against Naoya.”
“Naoya and his father Naobito is a pain to deal with for anyone that doesn't know how their technique works. Once you do, it's child's play to beat them both.”
“You mean how they freeze someone in place with a touch of their hand?” Killua asked and Satoru rose an eyebrow at that.
“Close. They can divide one second into twenty-four frames of animation by using their field of view as the projection angle of view and anyone they touch has to abide by that same rule. Therefore, just plan out your next action into twenty four frames and you're good.”
“That…actually seems easy now that I think about it. It's kind of like something I'm working on.”
“The reaction technique? Kind of except yours goes on running electric currents through your body to instinctively re-Wait, is that what you've been doing to Megumi and his Shikigami? Holding back and taking their attacks in order to hone your mind so that you can fight multiple opponents at one time?”
“…I might be doing that.” Killu spoke with a smug grin and a nod, to which Satoru blinked behind his blindfold before shaking his head with a chuckle as he ruffled his son's hair.
“Not bad. That is definitely something I would do.”
“And I am your son so it is to be expected.” Killua said with a shrug, but as Satoru went to respond, both of them quickly looked at the door as it opened, their attention fully focused on Shoko as she walked out.
“Is it the same as Tsumiki?” He asked and the woman sighed before nodding.
“Yeah, everything's stable. There are no abnormalities, poisons, diseases, viruses or bacteria throughout her body that could be causing this. For all intents and purposes, she is simply asleep.”
“When I catch the people who did this, they're going to get a shock they'll never forget.” Killua muttered with a frown, Satoru sighing as he placed a hand on Killua's shoulder to calm him down and stop the electricity from leaping off of his son's body.
“Can you transfer her to the top floor with Tsumiki as well? Make sure they get the best service there is.”
“Will do. Kil, visiting hours are everyday from 6 AM to 6 PM.”
“Thank you, aunt Shoko.” He nodded and she smiled before walking over to the receptionist area, taking a deep breath to calm his mind and draw in back his electricity.
“So, what are you going to do now?” He heard his father ask and looked at the man to see him staring at him with his arms crossed.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, Hina is in the hospital and I'm fairly certain the landlady won't want you back in the soaphouse in case you draw the Zen'in clan's attention there. So, what are you going to do now?”
“Won't they attack there even if I'm not there?”
“They will, but I know someone who might be willing to help you out if you meet up with them like you promised all those months ago.” Satoru spoke with a smirk and Killua groaned as he realized what the man was saying.
“Do I have to?”
“If you want help, yes. So, are you in?” He asked and the boy looked to be in thought for a while as he weighed over his options before his dad grinned as Killua sighed and nodded.
“Fine, I guess it's time I meet my grandparents.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Dad! Help!” Killua wheezed from where he was held in a tight grip by a beautiful woman with luscious snow-white hair and shimmering blue eyes, the woman looking to be in her mid-40's instead of the 60 year old grandma he was expecting.
“Nope, you're on your own. How have you been, Gintoki?” Satoru asked while looking at his father, who shrugged as his spiky silver hair bounced with the movement while he patted his son on the shoulder.
“We've been good. Well, other than the fact that you decided to dump being leader on me, which I do enjoy, but you also left me with all the paperwork.”
“Well, someone needed to do it and it wasn't going to be me. Uh, I think you might want to let go of him?”
“Huh? Oh, right, sorry about that, dear.” The woman spoke with an apologetic smile as she let go of the blue Killua, who heaved in lungs of air while her husband chuckled as he wrapped an arm around her.
“Who…the hell…kills their grandson…when they first meet…?”
“We do. So, Satoru, introductions?”
“Right. Kil, this is your grandpa Gintoki Gojo and your grandmother Kanade Gojo.”
“And before you ask, I was born way before Gintama came out so he got my name.”
“…Good to know. So…what now?” Killua asked as he looked at his dad, to which Satoru shrugged while his grandparents looked amused at their interaction.
“Why don't you tell us more about yourself? I believe Satoru said that your mother is a prostitute?”
“The correct term is 'soaphouse worker' and yes, she is.”
“Huh, how is that life for you?” Gintoki asked as he gestured for Killua to follow him into the compound and the boy followed while Satoru held his arm out to follow alongside his amused mother.
“He's truly glad you brought him.” Kanade whispered to her son as they watched her husband and grandson talking happily and Satoru rolled his eyes with a snort.
“Of course he is. After I told him about it, that's all he talks about.”
“Did he get the card like we asked?” She asked and smiled as her son nodded.
“He did. I had to say it was my own personal card.”
“Your card? Everyone that knows you even slightly knows how much you hate the bank.”
“Precisely.” Satoru spoke with a nod and she smiled before giggling when she saw Killua and Gintoki crossing their arms in unison while continuing their walk.
“Huh, they are really in sync, huh?”
“Yep. So, why did you truly come here? If it was to visit us, he wouldn't have waited almost three years before coming.” Kanade spoke and Satoru nodded at that before whistling to catch his dad and son's attention.
“Could we go into the main house now? I feel like we're catching attention.” He spoke while gesturing towards the clan, who didn't even look ashamed as they were more shocked at the young boy walking through the clan compound while Gintoki nodded.
“Come in and let's find out why you're here.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So, you think the Zen'in clan may retaliate by attacking the brot-soaphouse instead of him?” Gintoki corrected himself as he saw Killua's and Kanade's pointed stare, frowning as his son nodded while the four of them sat in the living room of the head clan house.
“Considering he took out their 'star prodigy', most definitely. That's why we're here. I can protect him on my own, but I'm not going to be able to protect the girls.”
“Well, we have many single men that are stressed in the compound and strong children are still strong children no matter their lineage.” Kanade said with a suggestive look, which they all caught as Gintoki let out a chuckle.
“I like the way you think my dear. How many girls are there?”
“Twenty between 21 and 30, twelve between 31 and 50…oh, and the landlady's 55, but she's more of the mother to them all than actually a worker.”
“No one under 21?” Gintoki asked and Killua snorted as he shook his head.
“None, the old lady might like having more workers, but she doesn't let them do anything unless they're either over 21 or can be recommended by another soaphouse.”
“A woman of integrity? Good. Tell her that we would like to hold a meeting tomorrow.”
“Will do. So, what do you want in return?” Killua asked before blinking as his father snorted while his grandparents looked amused at his words.
“We don't want anything, Kil. We're doing this because we want to.”
'…Right, these people are not assassins that want a favour for every little thing.'
“R-Right, sorry. So, that's it, right?” He said and Gintoki and Satoru nodded before they looked at Kanade as she spoke up.
“Well~ I may have missed nine birthdays so you can either get nine cool presents or one special one.”
“I would like the special one.” His grandmother grinned at that as she quickly stood up and rushed towards the back of the house, leaving Killua to look at the other males of his family.
“Is it really special?”
“I don't even kn-Oh…of course it's that thing.” Killua was even more confused by his father's muttered sigh while looking at his grandfather as the man grinned and shrugged.
“You'll see.” He said and a few seconds later, he heard the woman rushing back, looking over at her to see her quickly sitting down while slightly breathing heavy before she placed a box excitedly in front of him.
“Open it. It's something very special.” A bit confused and amused at her excitement, he opened it before stopping and staring at the object in the box.
Reaching in, he frowned at the dagger-like blade he pulled out, staring at the thin dagger-like blade that was on one end while the central grip part was bordered on either side by a pair of flat hoops crossing at a right angle over each other.
“It is called the Kamutoke, a special grade weapon that has been hidden in our family for generations when its original owner was sealed away. We would have given you something else if a certain someone didn't take it away and won't tell us where it is.”
“Oh, so you wanna give your grandson the one weapon that can kill your son?” Satoru asked and crossed his arms with a childish huff when Kanade nodded.
“It would keep your ego in check.”
“Wait, there's something that can break through your Infinity?”
“Yes, there is and no, you're not getting it. I can already see the wheels spinning in your head.”
“…You have no proof.” Killua spoke before sticking his tongue out, which Satoru returned while his parents just shook their heads.
“Anyway, Killua, we would like to ask that you're very careful with this. It is a special grade weapon so the wrong move and…well, let's just say half of the clan compound would be gone.”
“Okay~Putting this back into the box.” Killua spoke as he slowly lowered the dagger and snapped it shut, looking at his grandparents before bowing his head with a smile.
“Thank you for the gift.”
“It was our pleasure, dear. However, all we ask is that you be careful…and come and visit now and again. Your father here isn't big on showing love to his parents.”
“Well~ I kind of got kidnapped when I was a baby and forced to become a weapon.”
“Yes, yes, we know and we try to fix the relationship. You're the one who doesn't want to.”
“…That is true. Kil, you wanna leave before things get awkward?”
“Actually, with my mom in a coma, can I ask something?” Killua began and his words drew their attention before his grandparents' eyes widened at his next question.
“Can I live with you guys from now on?”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Nice work on scoring yourself a new home.” Satoru said with a grin as the two of them stood at the compound's main gate.
Killua ignored his grandparents cheering loudly in the background along with the rest of the clan as he shrugged while tapping a finger against the Kamutoke hooked to a belt loop of his jeans.
“You were the one who said I needed to find a new place to live so I took my chance. I guess it's a good thing they like me, huh?”
“It is. However, are you sure about living here?” Satoru asked and Killua raised an eyebrow at his father's words before nodding.
“Yeah, this way I can train in peace with people who know more and I can check up on the girls now and again to make sure they're all okay.” He answered and his father looked at him before smirking and nodding.
“Very well. Tell me that again when they start sending you out on missions.”
“…Wait, what?!”
A/N: And another short chapter to show the aftermath of the battle as well as the plans Gojo and Killua make to ensure that his family is politically protected from the Zen'in clan.
Also, I know Sukuna had a Kamutoke, but this is the original one that he had along with Hiten before he turned himself into cursed objects that the Gojo clan took for themselves.
Don't worry, though as Killua will first have to train before he can use it proficiently along with his technique but that's a discussion for another time.
As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
Ba-Bye~!!
