My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.5
Added 2025-01-24 20:13:53 +0000 UTC“So, you're the son that has all of Gojo's attention?”
“No, take him away if you want. I really couldn't give a damn.”
“You not going to miss the attention?”
“Please, I would love nothing more than for him to disappear.”
“…I like him.” Killua snickered at his mom's words while the teenage boy with spiky black hair and green eyes simply rolled his eyes as he saw Satoru pouting with a narrowed glare.
“Fine~! I'm not buying any more desserts for you! Only Tsumiki!”
“…If it would be possible, may I also refrain from receiving any more sweets as gifts, Mr. Gojo? You tend to just eat them all up anyway.” Tsumiki, Megumi's older step-sister, spoke with a sheepish look in her brown eyes as she tucked a strand of her brown hair behind her ear.
Gojo simply stared at the girl in shock before grumbling about 'kids getting too old nowadays' and looked out the window of the cafe they were all sitting in.
“Must you act like a child?”
“I can, I will and no one will stop me.” Killua just left his mom to deal with the overgrown man-child that was supposed to his dad as he turned back to Megumi.
“So…what do you do for fun?”
“Read.”
“What books?”
“Non-fiction for the most part.”
“Cool. Have you ever tried reading manga?” Killua asked and Megumi frowned slightly in thought while Tsumiki smiled at the sight of her younger brother connecting with his…their younger…brother?
This whole thing was all just weirdly confusing to her if she was being honest.
“I have, but it's not my cup of tea.”
“Okay. Oh! Speaking of tea, which one do you like more between it and coffee?”
“Coffee. Black to be specific.”
“Eh, I'm more of an ice-chocolate coffee person.” Killua answered with a shrug and Megumi grimaced as he heard that.
“That's too much sugar for me.”
“It's not enough sugar for me, but that could be because I love chocolates above all.”
“Ooh~ I do too.” Tsumiki found her chance to add to the conversation and Megumi raised an eyebrow while Killua smiled excitedly.
“Really?! Which ones?”
“Gojo gave me these Ferrero Rocher chocolates once and they were pretty good.”
“They're really good, but I like it simple like a Cadbury Milk Chocolate Bunny or really sweet yet simple Pocky sticks.”
“Yeah! Pocky sticks are really good too!”
“I can see you like sweet stuff almost as much as Gojo does.” Megumi spoke up and Killua blinked at that as he had vaguely remembered the man telling him that he liked sweet desserts.
“Really? I guess we're the same after all, then.”
“See? I told you he would say that one day.” Gojo chimed in and they turned only to blink at the red hand print on the man's face while Killua saw the pleased look on his mom's face as she sipped her tea.
“…Can't you make yourself invincible at all times?”
“Megumi, don't start.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You wanna see me fight?” Killua asked with a frown as he walked besides his father, who grinned and nodded while the two Gojo members made their way towards the athletic track in front of them.
“Yep, I want to see what you're made of and if possible, teach you a few tricks of my own.”
“…Eh, sure.” Killua was usually one to hide his techniques and figure things out on his own, but he can always just show the basics of what he can do and leave the more complex techniques for himself.
Besides, learning from his dad would be the equivalent of learning from the Chairman.
Who would pass on an opportunity like that?
“Cool. All you need to do is just keep attacking and show me what you can do.” Satoru said as they walked onto the green grass, taking a few more steps away from Killua before turning to start the match.
“Okay. Re-!” Satoru couldn't even start his sentence before he rose an eyebrow at the hand that stopped just a few centimeters away from piercing his chest and into his heart.
Killua on the other hand frowned as he could feel his arm still moving at the pace he threw the knife hand, but it also felt as if he was barely moving a millimeter in the same timespan that he and his father looked at each other.
“…Not bad. Straight for the kill.” Satoru spoke with a smirk and an intrigued look in his eyes hidden behind the glasses as Killua jumped back, landing in a crouch before the man rose an eyebrow as his son began to walk in a wide circle around him.
'What is he doing?' The man thought as he watched Killua walking slowly all around him like a predator stalking his prey before he rose an eyebrow as he saw a slight afterimage appearing behind the boy.
A few moments later, he had to admit he was impressed as numerous afterimages trailed behind Killua while the boy walked around him, making it seem as if he was being surrounded by a dozen Killua clones.
It was also not his cursed technique as the Honored One could not see any shift in his son's cursed energy flow whatsoever, meaning that what he was doing right now was nothing but pure speed.
'While he does not have the Limitless or the Six Eyes like I do, he most definitely has my monstrous cursed energy even if it is definitely a bit weaker as well as my extraordinary talent.' Satoru thought as he didn't have to wait long before Killua charged towards him.
Like always when he's sparring against students, he deactivated Limitless for a brief moment and caught the punch aimed at his waist, a bit surprised at the power behind it before smirking as he quickly pushed Killua's fist to the side.
However, the boy used the force of the push to leap into the air with a spinning heel kick that the man quickly leaned back from only to jump back as Killua did a leg sweep when he landed.
Rushing after his father, Killua unleashed a barrage of thrusting hands and knife hands at Satoru who dodged and pushed them all away to the side and downwards as he realized that Killua was deliberately aiming for his vital spots.
'Once is chance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is a pattern.' The man thought as he blocked a heel kick to his side with his shin before pushing Killua's leg down while aiming a punch at the back of his knee.
However, Satoru was both surprised and slightly intrigued as Killua popped out his hip socket to pull his leg free, rolling forward with a push as the boy had spun around to kick him with his loose leg before blinking as his son popped his leg back into place as if that never happened.
“…Huh?” The man was heavily surprised by that and Killua blinked at that as he stopped his attack.
“What?”
“The human body should not do that. How did you do that?”
“Oh, you mean the joint thing?” Killua asked as he dislocated and popped back his right shoulder like it was nothing before smirking as he saw his father just looking bewildered.
“…You sure that's not your technique?”
“Nope, your eyes should show there was no cursed energy.” The boy was speaking the truth as Satoru had not seen a shred of cursed energy being used to do that, but at the same time, it just wasn't normal for a kid to even think of fighting like that.
'Maybe that cursed spirit attacking him changed him in more ways than we saw.'
“Hey, you know you don't have to learn to fight like that.”
“But I like fighting like this. Aiming to finish a fight is better than just playing around.” Killua said with a shrug and Satoru hummed before agreeing with a nod.
“Okay, that's your call. So, you got anything else?” Satoru asked and rose an eyebrow as Killua crouched low to the ground while forming his hands to make them look like claws.
While he had figured out how to do his family's patented joint control technique as well as Rhythm Echo, the muscle control technique was unfortunately something that he could not relearn no matter how much he tried.
Therefore, he had to figure out two things, the first being how to enhance his body with his cursed energy and the second…
'First some form of the Snake Kung Fu style and now elements of the Tiger Kung Fu style.' Satoru thought with a smirk as he rested his arms at his side, watching as Killua's legs tensed before the ground ruptured as he lunged forward.
The silver-haired boy aimed for his father's chest, but Gojo smirked as he stepped to the side while grabbing Killua's wrist with his right hand before sending the boy flipping past him with his left hand.
Killua rolled with the throw and leapt back with a donkey kick, Satoru stepping to the side and letting the kick sail past his face before raising a leg to block the handstand kick the boy aimed at his groin.
“Really?” Satoru asked even as he pushed Killua away and the boy did a flare to try and kick at his legs, the man simply jumping back while Killua flipped to his feet and shrugged.
“What? It's a weak spot, isn't it?”
“…You are one ruthless little bastard.”
“And don't you forget it.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So…I read that Domain Expansions are like a one-hit kill attack. Is that the truth or is there more to it?” Killua asked with a frown as he sat next to his father, the man nodding as the two of them laid on the field while looking up at the sky.
“Essentially. Unless one also possess a Domain Expansion or at least a countermeasure against a Domain Expansion, it's basically game over. That or be strong enough to endure the sure-hit effect of a domain while taking out the one who used it. However, I wouldn't recommend that as the Domain also gives a significant boost to the person to make them stronger than what they were before they used it.”
“So basically…take someone out before they can even think of using a Domain, right?” Killua asked and hummed as his father gave a so-so gesture.
“That could work, but the only issue is that if a person has achieved Domain Expansion, you won't be able to take them out with ease as they will be stronger than even the toughest grade 1 sorcerer. However, just because someone is powerful enough to obtain a Domain Expansion doesn't mean that it's the end-all-be-all. For example, they might have just obtained that Domain Expansion or they don't have the cursed energy or control to keep it up for long. Also, that person might also have a non-lethal Domain that just boosts them instead of having a lethal attack.”
'So, it's like Knov and Morel said. Just because someone has an enormous amount of Nen doesn't mean that the battle will just end with their victory.'
“So, learn anti-domain techniques, figure out how to cast your own Domain and/ or observe the domain to see what type it is before making sure you can take out the person while still inside their domain. Did I get them all?”
“Got them all in one. Wait, why did you want to know about that?”
“Do you know any anti-domain moves that I can learn?” Killua asked in turn and Satoru chuckled before the two stood up as he nodded.
“Sure, I can't teach you one since I can't teach you how to use it, but I can teach you the second one. It's called Falling Blossom Emotion.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The howl of two wolves echoed in the air as a pair of twin wolves, one black and one white with three dots of the opposite colour on their foreheads, charged alongside Megumi towards a smirking Killua.
The boy was quick on his feet as he hopped backwards from foot to foot while ducking and moving around the lunges of the walls, making sure to keep his eyes on Megumi as the teenager was sneaking in attacks when he wasn't looking.
Killua ducked under the lunge of the black wolf before flipping over the attack of the white wolf, landing with a roll right as Megumi was in front of him with an axe-kick aimed for his head.
However, the boy was quick as he moved his body to the side just enough to make the attack miss while landing a punch against the side of Megumi's shin, wanting to follow up on the attack only to frown and jump back as the wolves attacked him from both sides.
'These guys are really annoying.' The boy thought with a frown as he crouched lowly and accelerated the flow of cursed energy through his body before blitzing forward.
Appearing in between the two wolves with a slide the next moment, both yelped as the boy did a split kick and sent them both flying off to the side right as he did a spin on his hands to aim another kick at Megumi's side.
However, Megumi was quick to block the attack before grabbing Killua's leg with one hand while making a snake shadow with his other.
“Orochi.” Megumi's shadow darkened before a colossal white snake with black markings all over its body shot from the shadow right as the twin wolves dissipated into black ink that sunk into the ground.
Killua grunted as he reached out to stop the snake's mouth right as it bit down on him, but he cursed as the snake raised him up high while clamping its jaws tighter to try and bite down.
“Nue.” The next moment, Killua's eyes widened as the snake vanished right as a large owl-like bird with orange feathers and a white mask-like skull shot through the shadows that Orochi left behind and smashed directly into him.
It was not even seconds later that Killua's eyes widened at the influx of electricity that was unleashed by Nue into his body, but Megumi's eyes widened as Killua instead grinned before slamming a powerful fist down upon Nue's skull.
The bird beast was sent crashing down instantly as Killua fell a dozen or so to the ground, already in a crouched form as he tensed his legs before blasting forward with a lunge the moment he landed.
'He doesn't know I've trained my body to already resist that level of electricity.' Killua thought with a grin as he dashed across the field at a rapid pace, Megumi barely able to keep up and block most of the boy's knife hand strikes to various parts of his body.
Catching the boy's wrist as he tried another swing at his neck, Megumi pulled him in for a knee strike and Killua quickly countered by grabbing the knee before using it as a support to land a powerful knee strike to his shoulder.
A loud pop echoed in the air and Megumi gritted his teeth as he felt the shoulder pop out before Killua wheezed as a tongue shot from Megumi's shadow and sent him flipping through the air, the teen in question grunting as he popped his shoulder back in while Killua spun and landed with a slight stumble.
“And another draw because if we continue, either of you might stop holding back!” Gojo called out as he raised his hands to signal the end of the match, Killua looking a bit disappointed as he wanted to continue it for a bit to test out more of his skills while Megumi sighed and nodded as he rolled his sore shoulder.
“Better have Shoko check that out before it gets too sore.” Satoru spoke up and Megumi nodded as he and Killua gave each other one final nod before they watched him walk away.
“Not too bad on going five rounds against Megumi especially with how quickly you adapted to his fighting style.”
“He's pretty good, too. Fighting in synchronisation with a wide variety of summons like that must take more than just skill and training. Also, it's been over a year and a half since I started sparring against him and you, but it's still tough to catch him by surprise without resorting to my usual attacks.”
“Yeah, I'd say my teaching also helped him on that front.” Killua just watched as Satoru couldn't miss the chance to boast about his teaching skills and shook his head.
“Just take me home before I keel over and die from embarrassment.”
“Hey! I'm not that embarrassing, okay?”
“I would beg to differ.” Killua spoke before smirking as Satoru grumbled while tracing a small circle of sigils and symbols around him, the man coming to a stop in front of him before linking his fingers together.
“Same time next week?”
“Sure…thing.” Killua sighed at the end of the response as he found himself near the alleyway that led to the soaphouse he calls home.
'He's one impatient guy.' Killua thought with a sigh as he started his trek back to home, feeling his cursed energy restoring itself and his stamina returning as he cracked his neck before blinking as he heard someone call his name.
“Kil! Kil! You need to come quick!” Looking up, he was surprised to see two of the younger girls that worked at the soaphouse rushing towards him, but he clenched his fist with a frown as he saw the bruise forming on the blonde's face as well as the panicked look in their eyes.
“What's wrong?”
“There's these guys calling themselves the Zebbi Clan or Zen'ri Clan or something like that and they demanded I give them a free service. I didn't want to so this guy called Naoya hit me and then Hina ste-!” Before the girl could finish her sentence, Killua was already past them and rushing down the alleyway that led to the soaphouse with an urgent look.
However, as he turned the corner, his eyes widened and his body went cold at the sight of his mom collapsing with a tattoo engraved on her forehead as well as the numerous frowning men in front of the building.
A second later, the world cried as lightning roared to life.
A/N: Cliffhanger~!!!
Next chapter, time to show off the fruits of our training~!!
Now, this won't be a one-sided slaughter…but there's no way I'm going to make Killua struggle to beat a bunch of Zen'in clan members, especially an enraged Killua.
Naoya on the other hand will most definitely take more effort especially with his damn complicated technique that still slightly confuses me to this day.
Anyway, as always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
Ba-Bye~!!
