Chad was getting tired of being greeted by update screens the moment he woke, up, not even caring for it as he swiped the screen out of the way before frowning slightly as he looked around at the wooden floor of his apartment that he was lying on.

The last thing he remembered was falling asleep after fighting against those four Hollows and the dozens of Menos Grande in the forest before he passed out so he assumed that he managed to safely make it back home.

'Wait, I purified three, but wasn't there still that rat one that I left in the Garganta?' Chad thought in a panic as he remembered of the rat Hollow, quickly flying to his feet before hissing as he felt that his injuries had still not healed after fighting against that turtle Hollow.

'My broken rib seems to have reset, but it's probably still cracked along with most of the bones in my body when I bounced off of those trees made out of stone.' Chad thought with a frown before looking at one of the new skills under the Hollow section, hesitating for a bit before activating with a thought.

The next moment, he watched as High-Speed Regeneration flashed once before being surprised as he felt a sense of comfort & relief flushing over his body, looking down to see his body being covered in the scarlet energy that was his Reiatsu before it vanished & he looked down in awe at his restored body.

Don't get him wrong. The broken, cracked & fractured bones have healed, but he could still feel himself having a hard time with breathing as well as an ache near his abdomen where his stomach sat.

'Does that mean that the regeneration doesn't heal organs? If so, it's not as powerful as I thought. Also, what does it mean with Spiritual Sense being maxed out? Does that mean it can't level up anymore?' He thought with a frown as he looked around, the world around him looking normal except for the hundreds of different spiritual energies he could make out around the city block his apartment was on.

He had figured out that the Passive meant that it will always be active, but he also found that he switched it between seeing their spiritual energy to seeing their basic information to even turning it off all within the blink of an eye.

Expanding it made his brain hurt a lot so he decided to retract it to just within a few meter radius of himself, rubbing his temples before shaking his head as he made his way towards the showers.

After all, it's was almost 7.00 am and school started at 8.15 am so there was no rest for him at all.

“Wait, where's Ichigo?” Chad asked with a frown as he sat at his desk in class, turning towards Keigo & Mizuiro who both looked at each other before Mizuiro shrugged as Keigo scratched his head.

“Don't know. He was earlier here, but left before classes could start. The strange thing was he kept asking about this Rukia girl, but no one in class knows who she is so we just assumed she was a girl he knew outside of school.”

'What happened in the time I was gone to it have gotten to the point that no one remembers a classmate we've had for the past two months?'

“Wait, Chad. You hang out with Ichigo a lot, right? Do you know who Rukia is?” Mizuiro asked and Chad glanced at them before nodding as he faintly heard Misato-sensei dismissing their class for the summer in the background.

“Yeah. She's a close family friend to him, but I guess he just missed her leaving or something.”

“Um, Sado?” Chad turned as he heard Orihime's voice coming up to him, turning to see the orange-haired girl having a concerned look on her face while a frowning Tatsuki & Riruka was standing besides her.

“C-Could we speak to you for a few minutes?” She asked and Chad frowned slightly at the unusual sad tone in her voice before nodding as he stood up.

“Sure. The roof?”

“If you don't mind?” She asked and he nodded as he picked up his bag, taking a final glance at Ichigo's empty seat before following them out.

“What happened yesterday? One moment I felt your spiritual energy in Karakura as I left and the next moment it was gone.” Riruka asked the moment they all walked onto the rooftop, Tatsuki & Orihime spinning to the girl with alarmed looks while Chad scratched the back of his head.

“What the hell are you doing?! Weren't you the one who told us not to say anything to anyone?!” Tatsuki hissed at the pink-haired girl, who rolled her eyes as Chad simply let them talk.

“Relax, would you? Chad knows about it because he's just like me.”

“Wait, what?” The girl asked in surprise as she & Orihime turned to Chad only to be surprised as he lifted his right fist & activated his ability, both of them being surprised as the Brazo Derech de Gigante appeared around the tall teen's hand with a flash of scarlet.

However, Chad and Riruka were also surprised by how much his ability had changed, the armour having slimmed down considerably to fit around his arm like a long glove up to his shoulder while the white streaks were gone.

The magenta pattern on the armour had also gotten more intricate while also being slightly lighter in colour than it was before and the bulky shoulder protrusion he had before was now one smaller protrusion that extended past his shoulder to be just slightly taller than he was.

“Am I imagining stuff or did that change?” Riruka asked with a frown and Chad nodded slowly in agreement as he clenched his fist, feeling much stronger the suppressed power of his hand was before looking up right as Tatsuki pulled out a sash from the breast pocket of her shirt & tightened it around her waist.

In response, Chad watched as the girl's hands & feet glowed and were coated in a light golden energy, Orihime reaching up & tapping the twin hairpins in her hair that swiftly glowed before transforming into six different smaller beings with wings that floated around her.

“Woah, who's the big guy?” One of the pixies around Orihime asked while looking at Chad in shock, to which the teen simply waved while Orihime answered.

“Tsubaki, that is Sado, a classmate & friend. Sado, this is Tsubaki.”

“Hello.”

“Good to meet you, big guy.”

“Why exactly are we all showing our abilities to each other?” Riruka asked with a confused frown and Tatsuki shrugged as she undid the sash around her waist & deactivated her ability, Orihime recalling her pixies while Chad made a mental note to check out his ability as he dismissed it as well.

“Well, he showed us his so I thought it would only be fair to show him ours.”

“…In the wrong context, that sounds very wrong.”

“You just like twisting my words, don't you?” Tatsuki spoke with a frown & a slight blush, Chad just letting them talk as Riruka giggled before they turned as Orihime cleared her throat.

“A-Ahem! Shouldn't we be asking Sado the question we wanted to when we asked him to come here?” She asked and the two teens huffed while Chad simply scratched his head & looked at them.

“So, does this have to do with Ichigo?” He asked, surprising two of them while Riruka huffed & nodded as she crossed her arms.

“Exactly the person they're worried about. Have you seen him since yesterday?” She asked and Chad frowned as he slowly shook his head.

“No, we went to our usual spot and then he went back home. Have you checked that one place? Uh, Ur-!”

“Now, now, Chad. He might have helped you, but that doesn't mean that he would want you to tell people about him.” Chad stopped talking as a deep voice spoke up from behind him, the teen swiftly spinning around with a fist pulled back to form a barrier between the voice & the girls before being confused as he didn't see anyone behind him.

“Down here.” The voice spoke up once more and Chad looked down before being surprised by the sight of a black cat with golden eyes sitting on the floor, the cause of his surprise being the fact that he couldn't feel or see any spiritual energy coming from the cat.

'Okay, this is definitely not an ordinary cat.'

“Okay, who are you and do you have Ichigo?!” Tatsuki exclaimed as she glared at the cat, to which it simply gave an amused huff before speaking once more in its deep voice.

“I am Yoruichi and I'm an associate of the person Chad was about to name. Unfortunately, I can't let you do that as he likes to introduce himself first to people who doesn't know who he is and before any of you start complaining, he knows where Ichigo as well as Rukia is. If you wish to see him, then all you need to do is follow me.” Yoruichi added, Tatsuki & Orihime looking shocked while Chad turned to Riruka who had a frown on her face.

“You guys go. I can't be involved in anything involving the Shinigami.” She spoke and Chad gave an understanding nod before turning to look at Tatsuki & Orihime, the former biting her lip in concentration while Orihime gave her friend a hopeful stare.

“Urgh, fine~ But! We want to see Ichigo.”

“Not possible. He's in a secret location to rest & recuperate and if you all disturb him now, there might be some…bad consequences to his health & well-being.”

“Is it like mine?” Chad asked, confusing the girls as Yoruichi looked at him & shook its head with a smirk.

“No, your injuries were far lighter compared to his. That's why we want to make sure he survives.” Chad frowned at that as he remembered that he had severely broken bones all throughout his body so for it to be worse, it either had to be severe organ damage or…

'Or his soul was attacked by something powerful.'

“Okay, so we just have to follow you, right?” Chad tuned out of his thinking as he heard Tatsuki's words, hearing Yoruichi humming in agreement before turning to Riruka as she spoke up.

“And that's my cue to leave. I'll see you guys when you all get back from this meeting.”

“Tell everyone I'll try to make training.” Chad spoke and Riruka nodded as she leapt away, Tatsuki & Orihime a bit surprised to see the girl skating through the air at a rapid pace before being surprised as his left shoulder slacked slighty, turning his head to see Yoruichi giving him an amused smirk while not missing Orihime's giggles.

“Now then, Chad, take us to Urahara, please.” The teen simply looked at the cat before letting out a soft sigh as he picked up both a squealing Orihime & a bewildered Tatsuki in an underarm carry.

Crouching lowly, Chad made sure to cover everyone in his spiritual energy before leaping up off of the roof & threw the air, turning the air under his feet into a slide as he skated through it & towards where he could last remember Urahara's shop being.

“Hello~ I see you brought his friends back, Yoruichi.” Urahara spoke with a happy smile hidden behind his fan as the group walked in, a bit confused at the messy windswept hair of the girls especially since there was only a soft breeze in Karakura before shaking his head as Yoruichi leapt onto the table in front of him.

“Just like you asked. Now, get this over with so I can start their training.”

“Wait, what training?” Tatsuki asked with a frown as they all sat down, to which Urahara let out a soft sigh as he closed his fan before staring at them with a serious gaze.

“Late last night, my patient Mr. Kurosaki nearly died after a battle against two Shinigami when they captured & took Ms. Kuchiki back to the Soul Society. Do not worry for he is still alive!”Urahara quickly added as he saw Chad going to stand up, the teen staring at him with a frown before nodding slowly as he sat back down & spoke while Orihime looked pale as Tatsuki grasped her hand in comfort.

“How bad was it?”

“He has almost fully recuperated but in return, he has also lost most of his spiritual powers because they pierced his Saketsu & his Hakusui before knocking him out with a fatal wound.” Urahara explained before shaking his head as he saw the confused looks in their eyes.

“Basically, they pierced the two spots on a Shinigami that would force them to lose their powers, but thankfully, they only caused Mr. Kurosaki to lose the powers that Ms. Kuchiki lent to him. Thus, if I help him unlock his own, the blockage will be removed and he can go back to being a Shinigami.”

“So, why are we here, then? We're not needed to do something for this process, are we?” Orihime asked with a concerned look before letting out a relieved sigh as Urahara unfurled his fan to hide his chuckle and shake his head.

“No, there's no need. The reason I called you here is because Mr. Kurosaki wishes to go & rescue Ms. Kuchiki from the clutches of the Soul Society and while I do not wish to endanger your innocent lives, I can't send him there on his own & still have a good conscience afterwards. However, we all know that Mr. Kurosaki would never want to endanger your lives for the sake of his goals and therefore, I wish to ask of you all in secret if you all-!”

“If you're asking whether or not I'm going with Ichigo, it's a waste of time. I'm going no matter what he says.” Chad interrupted Urahara before he could continue speaking, surprising the Shinigami while catching the attention of the others in the room as Urahara frowned.

“This isn't the usual Hollow hunts you & Ichigo do, Mr. Sado. These are beings that have trained for decades, centuries and even millennia to perfect their fighting skills. Beings that are tens of times more powerful than the Menos Grande you've fought.”

“That's okay. My best friend is trying to save a friend of his and any friend of Ichigo's is a friend of mine. So, what friend would I be if I didn't try my best to save them when they are in need?” The teen asked with a smirk and Urahara looked at him for a moment before shaking his head with a sigh as he turned to the girls.

“I see. What of you two girls? Are you going to sit this one out?”

“Nope. I'm not going to be a damsel in distress and let Ichigo have all the fun.”

“S-Same here. I wish to help Rukia and if this is the way to do it, then I will.” Tatsuki & Orihime answered respectively, the shopkeeper staring at the trio in front of him before chuckling as he turned to a smirking Yoruichi.

“You were right. They're not going to stop.”

“Told you. So, knowing that you're about to fight life-or-death battles, you three do understand that I'm about to put you all through gruelling training, right?” The cat asked before humming as they all nodded.

“Good. Then you kids can make a quick pit-stop to get dressed into your exercise clothes before meeting me at the waterfall south-east of the town.”

“No?” Chad heard Yoruichi ask as he, Orihime & Tatsuki walked out of the forest and right towards the waterfall that laid on the outskirts of Karakura, surprised to see that the cat was not alone as Uryu sat on a large rock in front of it.

“Ishida?” Tatsuki sounded just as surprised as she called out the teenager's name, to which he looked up before sighing as they all walked over towards the two.

“I assume they're the ones you're training?”

“Yep, but it appears that you won't be joining us, then?”

“Why not?” Chad asked and Uryu shook his head as he stood up while dusting his pants off.

“While I would love to train with you all, my training is merely to make sure that I'm strong enough to defeat the Shinigami when I go with Kurosaki to the Soul Society.”

“So, you're not coming with to help Rukia?” Orihime asked with a disappointed look and Uryu adjusted his glasses & shook his head, but Chad was not blind as he saw the guy's eyes flickering towards the side as soon as he shook his head & back at them.

“Not at all. Now, if you would all excuse me?”

“Of course. See you at Urahara's in a week.” Yoruichi called out as Uryu walked towards the forest line, the young man simply giving a nod before he vanished into the forest.

“Damn, he's still as cold as an iceberg even outside of class, huh?”

“You get used to it.” Chad said with a shrug and the girl simply rolled her eyes before turning to Yoruichi as it cleared its throat.

“Now since it's only you three. Let's go to a training ground I prepared ahead of time and make you three kids strong enough to help Ichigo in his battles.”

A/N: Another short & talkative chapter but we're off to the next Arc: Rescue Rukia.

Next chapter, filled with a bit of training and entry into the Soul Society~!

Anyway, I know Chad has Boxing (Advanced) which seems a bit fast for everyone else, but there is a reason for it being that high that will be added next chapter.

Also, tell me if you guys liked the different changes I made of categorizing the skills as well as changing a few stuff with the Reiatsu & stuff.
