26)Perfection? Not For Me: Ch.26
Added 2024-12-27 14:30:41 +0000 UTC“Three!” I didn't waste any time as I threw up an iridescent light barrier up in front of me right as Towa swung her staff towards me, the air in front of her warping before three invisible balls carved through space & impacted my barrier with a deafening explosion.
It held strong against the triple explosion and with a snap of my fingers, the barrier separated into numerous star-shaped sheets of light before they spun rapidly & sliced through the air towards her.
She quickly warped the space around her to try & stop them, but I smirked as I quickly stopped the light stars while pushing them down to slide under the barrier, her eyes widened as the light shuriken drew close to her skin.
The next moment, I grinned as I flicked the stars towards her, frowning as she warped the space around her in a bubble that destroyed all of the stars the moment they made contact with her bubble.
Quickly stopping my spell, two overlapping triangles of scarlet light appeared in front of me right before I slammed my palm into its centre, the air around me heating up intensely as a torrent of scorching flames raced towards her.
In response, I felt her magic pulse before being surprised as the spell split in two around her, watching as both blasts curved around through the air & flew directly back at me.
Not stopping my flames though, another two triangle sigils appeared in the flames' path with a snap of my fingers & was quickly absorbed by them, feeling her shock as two more triangles of light appeared behind her right as the flames she redirected shot out & was about to impact her.
With a grin, I created two triangles of light in the path of the flames to make them absorb them, but to my surprise, she curved the flames around the barriers and I quickly stopped my spell while creating a spherical barrier around me.
'Damn, that's some quick adju-Wait a second, what the hell is going on here?' I thought with a frown as the flames died down, lowering my barrier while staring at an amused Towa as she tapped her staff on the ground & teleported away.
A barrier of light appeared besides me right as the space in that same spot exploded like a bomb impacted it, quickly swinging the light in a wide arc & creating a circular saw that I sent racing out in all directions.
However, I was not done as dark clouds gathered above me right before I swung my hand down, streams of lightning raining down upon the ground and making the sound of thunder echo repeatedly in the Chamber.
As I swung my hands in a wide arc, the light of the barrier warped into the form of a saw before I stopped, smiling as I realized what she was doing and dismissed the saw blade.
“You're rewinding time, aren't you?” I spoke out loud and couldn't help my laughter as her giggles echoed in the area around me.
“That's a pretty powerful move right there. Does it activate when I land an attack or when I land a fatal attack?”
“Who knows? Why don't you try & find out?” Her voice sounded as if she was both whispering in my ear and talking far away, a hum escaping my lips before I nodded, beginning to float up while I traced a wide circle around me.
Clapping my hands together, the circle glowed before hundreds of me flew out in all directions, each having a halo floating around them while I was seated cross-legged in the air with numerous haloes surrounding me like I'm an atom.
I watched as my clones each sat cross-legged in the air before doing the same thing, their clones doing the same and their clones' clones repeating over & over until the sky above me was blotted out by tens of thousands of floating clones that all looked like golden atoms waiting for instructions.
In unison, we all raised our hands to the sky and the atom followed suit, a smirk appearing on my face as I knew Towa was probably panicking at the tens of thousands of nukes that we were about to throw.
“I thought we said no ki?” Towa's voice echoed out and I smirked as I watched her appearing like a mirage with a frown on her face.
“This isn't ki. This is the creation & manipulation of the natural elements in the universe refined to its absolute point thanks to the memories of the Kais I've absorbed. Now, do you yield?” I asked and she looked up at me before smirking as the orb on top of her staff glowed brightly.
“I do not. Show me what you have.”
“Very Well. Celestial Judgement.” I chanted as the clones & I all threw our orbs in unison, the ground being obscured in a golden light as the atomic nukes flew down towards her before my eyes widened as she stomped her staff on the ground & made a sharp pitch whistle echo across the landscape.
“Reflect.” She chanted and I watched as the ground below her ripped open for miles to reveal thousands of my clones floating in it right before they all threw their own atomic nukes up that clashed with us in a brilliant yet devastating explosion.
Several layers of light barriers protected me from the blast and I watched as Towa did the same by warping the space around her to deflect the explosions away from her, feeling my clones all transforming back into magical energy & flying into my form before I nodded as I floated down towards her.
“Not bad. Spacial Reflection?”
“More like reflecting your past self in the current timeline and letting you hit yourself.” She explained and I blinked at the explanation as my tail swayed in sync with my confusion.
“So, you open a rift in the space-time continuum to my past self, duplicate myself throwing the spell at you and then reflect it back at me?…Damn, when did you invent that one?”
“A few decades ago. It's quite the handy one when you want to make someone fight themselves, though the clones are incapable of thinking so it's more of just a puppet clone that I manipulate myself.”
“That means you can't also affect the flight path of an attack once it's thrown so you open the rift in the direction you want it to go to make sure it hits, right?” I asked and smirked at the exasperated look she gave me as she held her staff behind her.
“You know, those memories of the Kais have made you quite the analytic person.”
“I know. Now, back to our scheduled programming. I have to watch out for both that one & the rewind, so…”
'Let me try something.' I thought with a frown as I threw a barrage of fireballs out to the sides, quickly creating a teleporting crest in the path of all of them before quickly creating dozens of the same crests all around Towa in the form of a half-dome, snapping my fingers and watching as fireballs were shot randomly from all directions towards her.
Instead of teleporting away like I expected, I watched as the demoness smiled in amusement while creating a spacial barrier around her, making me frown as I quickly shattered the crest while creating a large one above her.
With a grunt, a hail storm of icy bullets rained down upon her while each of them sparked with electricity, the demoness frowning a bit despite her smile as she quickly swiped her staff through the air & unleashed a wave of something above her that made the rain of bullets twist & warp upon themselves until they were snuffed from existence.
'So, either she can't use that duplication thing too many times in a row, she can't reflect stuff that is coming from different directions or she feels like she doesn't it for the bullets & fireballs.' I thought with a frown as I deactivated all of my spells, taking a deep breath as the woman turned towards me before my eyes snapped open as I made a heart-shaped gesture with my middle fingers & thumbs while the other fingers were all pointing out.
“Kai Kai.” With one simple chant, I warped through time & space faster than with Instant Transmission and appeared behind Towa with a hand held to her back, grabbing at the spacial barrier around her before shocking her as I tore it away.
“Kai Kai Matoru.” I chanted as soon as I ripped the barrier away, enjoying the look of shock on her face as I sealed her magic power away before quickly creating a barrier of light sigils around her that each linked together with numerous smaller chains.
“Kai Kai.” Teleporting away once more, I reappeared in front of Towa before vanishing & reappearing far away, the light sigils I had left behind flashing brightly & making the demoness yelp as it blinded her right before numerous chains of light appeared from them & wrapped around her.
However, as I appeared in front of her with a hand held up to her forehead, I simply turned to the left as she walked out from another mirage with a pout while the one in my chains faded away.
“Before you ask, I did it when you threw those nukes. You didn't honestly believe I would just come out like that, would you?”
“I was hoping on it, but I suppose I didn't exactly believe it was you. So, an illusion?”
“Projection, actually. Splitting myself into two through the space-time continuum, but when one dies, it's turned back into magical energy & absorbed by the other one. However, that spell…it's the one the Grand Supreme Kai used on Moro, isn't it?” She asked with a frown as she looked down at her right arm & I stared at my light sigil glowing on the back of her hand before it shattered as I snapped my fingers.
“Yes, the same one. Although, his is permanent while mine are temporary since I don't actually want to permanent sacrifice half of my magical energy to seal off yours.”
“Good, because if I tried to travel to an alternate timeline to fuse with that counterpart, the Time Patrol will be on my ass again and that means another century or two of running for me.”
“Wait, they let you go?” I asked with a surprised look as our spells faded away, the both of us making our way back to the ship we took here and she smirked & nodded as I opened the door back out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
“After I had to promise to not time travel anymore & stick to my own timeline.”
“And what of the spells you just used? Didn't they make so many alternate timelines?” I asked and she gave me a look before I blinked as she burst out into laughter.
“Hahahaha! You thought! You thought! Ohahahaha! Oh, that's the funniest thing ever!”
“…Am I missing something?” I asked as I watched the demoness hanging off of me while laughing, taking a few deep breaths to catch her breath as she wiped a tear away.
“Hahaha! Hah~ Sorry about that. Anyway, timelines are only created when you alter a big event in the timeline, such as you still being alive years after you were supposed to die made an alternate timeline. Me pulling other variants of yourself & myself from alternate timelines for just a few moments, however, will do absolutely nothing to the timeline.”
“…Good, because I did not want to fight any of the Xeno variants you spoke of.”
“Why? Because you think you're going to lose?” She asked with a teasing smile while bumping her hip into mine, making me roll my eyes as I crossed my arms & nodded.
“Oh, definitely. Every fight that I've won is because I made sure I was colossally stronger than everyone of my foes & nothing else. To fight a war without being 100% certain of victory is to be caught with your pants around your ankles.”
“Doesn't that make fights boring?” She asked and I looked at her before snorting as I nodded.
“It does, but I live to see another day while my opponent is left to decompose in the mud. I see that as a win every day of my life.”
“Hmm, looks like you're more in touch now with your Namekian & Glind side than you are with the others.” She spoke as we walked into the ship & I chuckled as I nodded before warping into my Zamasu-Buu form as I sat down, smirking at her raised eyebrow.
“Tail.” I answered and she simply hummed before turning the ship on, the vessel slowly floating up from the ground before we turned & rocketed out of the cave at a blistering pace.
“You know I can teleport us there, right?” I asked with a smile while looking at Towa, who had the same knowing smile on her face as she shrugged while accelerating the ship even further.
“Oops~ Guess we'll have to keep going.”
“You are one crazy lady, Towa.”
“And you are one crazy gentleman, Cell.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When we arrived at the castle, it was to the sight of Dabura, Gomah, Degesu & Arinsu waiting for us at the front entrance, but I frowned slightly as I saw that none of them looked happy to see us.
Instead, Degesu & Arinsu looked slightly worried while Gomah gave his brother nervous glances as Dabura's eyes reflected something I've never seen in the demon king's eyes since I've met him.
Nothing but pure, unadulterated rage.
“War Room. Now.” The king didn't even greet us as he simply spoke three words before spinning around, Arinsu following after her husband while I placed a hand on Towa's shoulder to stop her from asking questions.
“I don't know your brother that good, but I've only seen the man happy so if he of all people is mad, then it's definitely something we should wait to ask until there is no one watching.” I spoke and she looked at me for a while before letting out a soft sigh & nodding as we began to follow after Dabura with Degesu & Gomah walking besides us.
“So, where have you two been?” The short man asked, to which a smirk appeared on my face while Towa answered.
“Helping Cell figure out his whole memory problem he's been having.”
“Ah, so what do you call you now?” He asked while looking at me and I simply shrugged as we continued following Dabura.
“Cell is still good seeing as I am the primary memory database while the others could be seen as additional databases in my mind.”
“Oh, that's…how does that even feel?”
“Not as weird as one would think. I'm still Cell, but I can access the memories and/ or abilities of any of the Supreme Kais or beings that I've absorbed. Although, in order to get it all under control, I did have to devour & destroy some of the more useless beings in my body in order to be able to do so.”
“And how many of these…weaker beings were there?” Degesu answered and I frowned slightly in thought as I went through the calculations before answering.
“Roughly…27 918 139 574 371 different beings.” I answered, not missing Degesu's & Gomah's shocked stares as well as Towa's intrigued one as we continued walking.
However, as they were about to speak, Dabura opened the door to the War Council Room and walked in, the rest of us following suit & sitting down at the chairs available while the king sat down at his throne.
“So, is anyone going to fill in Cell & I on what is happening?”
“Mechikabura has been spotted in the Third Demon World.” Arinsu ripped off the band-aid with harsh precision as Towa's head snapped to her, my own mind surprised at the words as I had figured out that the Time Patrol were the ones who took him away from what they all have told me.
So…how the hell did he even escape them all?
“What?” Towa's voice was just slightly above a whisper but the sheer anger behind it surprised even me as Gomah frowned before pressing a button on the panel in front of him, my attention going up to the holographic video playing out in the middle of the table.
I watched as a group of soldiers were running away and a town was being destroyed in the background, its citizens all lying in puddles of blood while a smiling & creepy old demon with dark grey skin & long silver hair stood in the middle of the many bodies.
However, I was surprised by the figure walking alongside the demon, their skin a light grey colour with short red hair sticking upwards and wearing a black & white overcoat with a blue cape thrown over his shoulders, darker blue pants with a belt with the letter 'D' in red on the front, a golden tiara & a white staff with a red orb at the top.
“This is footage sent from one of our patrol platoon that was killed by Mechikabura a few days ago. From what we can analyse of it, the footage is at most a week old, but we have decided to assume the worst & assume that the footage is at minimum two weeks older if not more. However, what we don't understand is who the guy next to him is.”
“Demigra, one of his disciples.” The words surprised us as they flew from Towa's lips, all of us turning to her before I was even more shocked to see the glare in her eyes.
“Do you know him?”
“He was a fellow pupil under Mechikabura alongside myself, Putine & Gravy and he was also the only one to escape me when I fought against the three of them.”
“Is he the Glind that you copied your Time Magic from?” Dabura asked and Towa nodded with a frown as she rubbed her temples.
“Oh, yes. He learned & perfected everything that Mechikabura taught him and he's also the only variable that I was scared would intervene from the shadows when we fought Mechikabura.”
“So, what you're saying is that he could also have been the one who pulled Mechikabura away from your battle against him all those years ago to make it seem as if someone else took him?” I asked and the three siblings' eyes widened as they looked at each other.
“We never did worry about it…and it would make sense given how we tore out Mechikabura's Evil Eye which he is missing.” Gomah answered while pointing at the gaping hole in the middle of Mechikabura's head, the other two nodding before we turned to Arinsu as she spoke up.
“So, is he here to just take over the Demon Realm or for something more?”
“That depends. Mechikabura is never one to care for most trivial things in the world so it has to be something he cra-The Dragon Balls!” Degesu explained and with a snap of my fingers, I surprised everyone as three sigils with the Namekian language written around the edges appeared off to our side.
However, they were shocked to see three robotic & metallic beings appearing from the sigils right as the sigils in questions shattered, but not as shocked as I was when I saw the one with the hammer fall over with a gaping hole in its chest where the others' Dragon Balls sat.
“Well…at least we know what he's after now.”
A/N: And now we finally have a storyline for the Demon Realm!! It's Cell helping the Demons fight their lives as they face off against not one, but two Demon Gods?!
How will this play out? We'll have to find out next time on Dragon Ball: Perfection? Not For Me.
