Harbinger of Ruin: Ch.3

“Kiba~Kiba~” A silky-smooth female voice whispered softly in my left ear and I faintly heard a giggle from my other side as a finger poked at my face.

“A few…a few more minutes…” I groaned as I rolled my head to the other side only to grumble as someone blew softly on my face from the side I was now facing.

“You can't turn, so it's better to wake up.” Another voice spoke and I opened my eyes just as Akeno leaned closer with a teasing smile.

“You know, having such a tight grip on a girl will send mix signals.” I heard Rias speak up from the other side and I looked down at my arms only to see my hands firmly grasping their sides before turning to the amused red-head.

“In my defence…I didn't know I was this clingy when I sleep.”

“But I did~”

“Is that why you wanted me to sleep with you guys?” Rias asked with a frown and rolled her eyes as Akeno's answer was to giggle before they both looked down as the duvet twitched below them.

“Is…is that what I think it is?” Rias asked as she slowly looked at me with a blush, Akeno blushing slightly as well with a teasing smile and I could feel my face growing warm as I gave a slight shrug.

“I'm a growing boy and I'm in between two beautiful ladies who don't wear shirts when they sleep. It's kind of expected.” I wasn't going to tell them that I was enjoying the view of their large & very perky tits nor the sight of their nipples growing hard from the chill air of the room, but Akeno simply giggled as Rias smiled & stood up to show she wasn't wearing anything.

“Right, I forgot that the last thing we slept in the same bed as each other was before we all went through puberty. Hmm, not all of us since Neko isn't here.”

“And I never will.” Koneko spoke as she opened the door with a frown before closing it once more, leaving the three of us surprised as I sat up before speaking.
“…Think she was standing there the whole time just to say that?”

“No.” Koneko responded instantly from outside, a chuckle escaping my lips before an abrupt yawn cut it off & I stretched with a groan.

“Ooh~Never knew you were this muscular.” Akeno whispered with a teasing tone as she softly traced a finger up my chest before giving a giggle at my deadpan stare, standing up & stretching as well as Rias rolled her eyes & placed her hands on her hips.

“Must you be this annoying this early in the morning?”

“As your queen & best friend…yes. Yes, I must.”

“While you ladies talk it out, I'm just going to go & take a shower.” I answered as I stood up, deciding to not hide my boner as I simply walked past their surprised looks & made my way to the bathroom attached to my room.

As I entered the bathroom, though, I felt my knees buckle at the sheer adrenaline rush & excitement hit me all at once after my little stunt, making sure to take silent yet deep breaths to calm my nerves as I made my way to the shower.

'Holy shit. That…was awesome~!' I thought with an excited smile as I turned the water to ice cold, hissing at the cold water splashing onto my boiling body & forcing it to cool down as I leaned under the water with a blissful smile.

Was it a bit too hasty to say that I was good with both of them? Of course, but I was slowly & surely making my way towards the closed-off centers that were their hearts.

First, I had to take care of the problems that plagued them.

For Akeno, it was going to be a bit hard seeing as she's stuck with trauma from watching her mom be killed in front of her & having to live on the run for a year while her maternal family tried to kill her right before she was rescued by Rias.

For Rias, though, her problem was far harder as most of her trouble stemmed from a certain flaming dude that has high speed regeneration and can manipulate wind & fire.

Riser Phenex was a dickhead, but he was a powerful dickhead so I had to make sure that before I can get with Rias, I had to take care of him.

'Thankfully for me, I had a little idea to use against him with Sword Birth, especially since I learned that I can enchant a sword with two enchantments instead of just keeping to one, but I just need to figure out two more things before I can truly say I have a plan against him.' Usually, I would keep stuff like this until last minute since I would be too lazy, but this was both a new life & a chance to score the eternal affection & love of a beautiful woman.

Did I feel a bit scummy for manipulating her feelings like this? Not at all. The world is full of manipulative people and besides, I'm just manipulating her to like me a bit instead of something like killing her parents.

Yeah, that's all it was.

“Wait, what?” I asked with a confused & surprised look as I stood in front of Rias' desk, the red-haired young lady nodding with a smile as she repeated her words.

“I said that I want you to follow Issei Hyoudou for the rest of the day while he's on his date.”

“Is that usually not Koneko's job? She's the stealthiest out of us all, right?” I asked while glancing at the white-haired girl, who gave an unsure gesture with her hands while Rias sighed.

“I would, but we have a meeting with Sona & then my mother and since you don't have any urgent requests for tonight, I thought you wouldn't mind taking over for tonight.”

“I suppose that is true. Hah, very well, I'll keep an eye on him, but what do I do if something does happen?”

“Um, just try your best to call me if something does happen, okay?” She asked and I nodded before blinking as I heard a soft chime echo in the air, looking at the origin & frowning slightly at the scarlet Gremory crest appearing on the back of her hand.

“Ah, that's my familiar's signal to show that she gave Issei the pamphlet and your cue.”

“Sure, see you all when I return.” I spoke with a smile as I walked over to the door before turning as I heard Rias call out.

“Um, Yuuto, are you not going to take the teleportation circle?” She asked with a confused look and I looked at the circle before smiling & shaking my head.

“It would be quicker for me to get there on foot and this way, the angels won't feel me coming.”

“That…is true. Well, I'll leave you to do what you think is best.” She spoke with a smile and I nodded before opening & closing the door behind me, taking a deep breath before nodding as I began jogging out the building & towards the direction where I think they would be at the end of the day.

'Hah, hopefully, this goes as I expected.'

'Well…this is…confusing & concerning.' I thought with a frown as I sat on a tree branch, my presence hidden in the foliage as I watched a stern-looking young woman with her black hair styled into a bob-cut and dressed in the same Kuoh Academy uniform kneel besides the slowly dying form of Issei.

Issei Hyoudou is currently dying…and Sona Sitri herself is holding a Rook piece to his chest, surprising me as I watched the Rook warping & pulsating slightly before it sunk into his chest.

Moments later, I watched as Sona picked him up before spinning around just as another figure landed with a flap of their wings behind her.

“Urgh, I knew Raynare couldn't finish the job.” The man dressed in a trench coat & a fedora spoke with a frown as his pair of black-feathered wings spread out wide behind him, Sona frowning as she stood up & adjusted her glasses before I sighed as I dropped from the branch & made my presence known.

“You know she's not going to like this, right?” I said as I came to a stop next to Sona, who frowned before nodding as she crossed her arms.

“She is not, but I did give her three months to turn him. It's not my fault that she's too slow in doing so.”

“Hah, she's definitely going to be mad.”

“The Sitri heiress and a piece of Gremory. I assume the boy behind you is now part of your peerage, yes?” The Fallen Angel asked with a frown and I shrugged as Sona nodded.

“He is. Now, I will ask you to leave or else I will take your life as compensation for wasting my time.”

“Ha! Be careful who you speak to like that.”

“No, you be careful. Now, the lady told you to leave.” I spoke up as a demonic blade appeared in my grasp, the angel frowning before scoffing as he dismissed the light spear in his grasp & flapped his wings to fly up.

“Very well. I shall leave, but remember that it is only through the grace of Dohnaseek that you live to see another day.”

“Of course it is.” I muttered with a sigh as I pinched the bridge of my nose, Sona simply looking amused at my words as the angel frowned before taking off, making me let out a relieved sigh as I didn't want to fight someone like that right now.

Especially when it's someone that is the natural enemy of the race I was now apart of.

“Now, I shall be taking him home. Thank you for the help even though I did not require it.”

“It's not trouble, Ms. Sitri, but like I said, be careful tomorrow. She is definitely going to be on the warpath.” I spoke and Sona nodded as she picked up Issei & vanished in a light blue magic circle, making me sigh as I looked at the area before shaking my head & walking back to the ORC in Kuoh Academy.

“Well…this is about to be a bloodbath.”

“SHE WHAT?!!!” I leaned back slightly as Rias' shout echoed inside the room, an acrid odour appearing in the air as sparks of reddish-black electricity appeared around her body & charred parts of her desk & chair.

“Like I said, I followed Issei for the entirety of his date up until they got to the fountain. Then, the Fallen Angel transformed, fatally wounded him & flew away right before Ms. Sitri appeared & turned him into a Rook. However, the piece had veins along the side of it & appeared to be pulsating & glowing as she made him into a devil.” I answered and I was surprised to hear her growl as she stomped towards the magic circle.

Akeno, Koneko & I didn't say anything as the red-head activated the circle before I let out a soft sigh as a devastating explosion echoed in the background where the Student Council Room is.

“Should we…?” I trailed off as I heard another explosion along with the sound of rapid water torrents crashing into wood, Akeno sighing before shaking her head as she walked & sat down on one of the sofa.

“No. It's best to just let her go over & talk it out with Sona without us getting in the way & being injured.”

“In other words, rest & be safe. I can do that.” I spoke with a nod as I walked over & sat down next to Koneko, easily taking the bowl she handed to me before taking out one of the caramel fudge & eating it.

“So, what now? Issei was her last chance, right?” I asked, watching as Akeno let out a soft sigh before nodding.

“He was, but with him no longer an option…I don't see how we can beat Riser & his entire peerage.”

“By using everything we have at our disposal.” I answered, both Akeno & Koneko looking at me before their eyes widened as I made ears on top of my head for Koneko & made electricity spark around my hands for Akeno.

“Your Holy Lightning & Koneko's Pure Fire. With those two things alone, I'd give us a 50./50 even if it is 4 against 16.”

“I am not doing that. We'll have to find another way.” Akeno answered and I looked at Koneko to see her looking away before shrugging as I picked up a mint chocolate & popped it in my mouth.

“That's fine. Just remember that when Rias is forced to marry Riser, I did give us an option to make sure that we could save the girl that saved us when we were at our lowest.”

“You don't understand.” Koneko whispered with a frown & a glare before being surprised as I glared back.

“You were saved by Rias before you got executed. Akeno was saved by Rias before her family could kill her. I had to watch what family I had left die of poison and I DIED to that same poison before I was resurrected by Rias. Yet, you don't see me wallowing & complaining about how unfair life is. Unlike you two, I'm actually trying to make sure that Rias' life is as good as I can make it.”

“And what? You just expect us to just push through the trauma, huh?!” Akeno growled and I nodded as I placed Koneko's bowl back on the table in between us as the sounds of explosion died down in the distance.

“Yes, because if you're not, I'd rather you two just stay out of the way & not take part in whatever competition Riser proposes. You're just going to be dead weight.”

'That was harsh & abrupt, but I'd rather they be mad at me now than be mad at themselves later when they do get their asses handed because they were too stubborn to use their abilities.' I thought with a frown as I unfurled my wings & flew out of the open window, frowning as I flew up high & saw the damage to the back of the school.

Pools of water laid everywhere as the ground was muddy, parts of it also charred & torn apart as I saw Sona riding a wave while Rias threw reddish-black beams of energy one after the other at her friend.

“You stole him from me!” Rias shouted as she threw another energy beam, Sona's water launching her over the blast before catching her as she landed behind Rias & pushed herself out of the way with a blast of water.

“I didn't! I told you that you had three months and no more! Is it my fault you were too hesitant to do what I could?!”

“No, but it is your fault that I'm about to marry a fucking bastard!” She exclaimed and I frowned as I saw her gathering her energy into a sphere in between her palms, a demonic blade in the form of a knife appearing in my grasp as I activated the one enchantment on it that was supposed to be one that I thought up for Riser.

Throwing it at the ground to the side of Rias, I watch her be surprised as she threw the orb only for it to curve right & towards the knife before the blade along with the ground around it was instantly erased from existence.

“President.” I called out as I landed in front of her, Rias looking surprised to see me before I sighed as she glared & tried to walk past only to turn her glare towards me as I held an arm out to stop her.

“Let! Me! Go!” She growled and I ignored the flashes of pain from my skin being torn off by her energy as I turned her & wrapped my arms around her.

“Go.”

“No, let me go. Let me go! Let me go! LET ME GO!!” Rias shouted over & over as she struggled to get free, her screaming slowly turning into sobbing as I turned to Sona just as she tried to move forward only to stop as I shook my head.

“Go.” I mouthed as I held the crying Rias in my arms, not surprised to feel her hugging me tight as Sona looked hesitant before nodding & turning to walk away.

“Wha…what…what am I going to do now, Yuuto? What am I going to do?” She whispered as she looked up at me with pain in her eyes and I smiled before reaching up & wiping her tears away.

“What we've always done. We kick ass, together.” I said while looking behind her, Rias turning around before being surprised to see Akeno & Koneko landing behind us.

“W-What…what if we lose? I couldn't put you guys through that pain.”

“Then…we'll do that together, too.” Akeno spoke with an encouraging smile as one bat wing & one Fallen Angel wing appeared on her back while a pair of white cat ears & a cat tail appeared on Koneko's back, Rias looking at them in shock before smiling & nodding as the two of them hugged us.

“Sorry for the whole shouting thing in the clubroom.” I apologized with a smile, Akeno simply giggling before I winced as I felt Akeno pinching my side.

“Don't worry. We forgive you, but…you're going to have to help us figure out how to use our abilities.”

“Uh, I don't know how to.”

“Don't worry. We just need a target for it.” She said with a happy smile and I looked at her before back at a giggling Rias.

“Can you protect me here?”

“No attacking Yuuto, girls.”

“Aw~” Akeno whined and I gave Rias a thankful smile, to which she nodded with a smile before I sighed as the three of them decided to keep the hugging streak on for a while.

'Well…canon, it was nice knowing you, my friend. At least I only watched three seasons of the show or else I'd be worry about future knowledge.'

A/N: As you have already realized, canon is not a thing in my story.

Also, I have nothing against Issei. He's probably one of my favourite anime MCs of every anime that I've watched, but the guy's got a perverted godly charm about him that would make the harem a bit hard to form so…he had to go.

Don't worry, he's still going to have his own harem. Just not Rias & Akeno.
