Monthly Devlog #2: December 2023

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and to those who don't, Happy Holidays! Welcome to our third and last devlog of the year! December not only housed Christmas but also New Year, making it a relatively slow month for the Lavendeer Team.

As we approach the New Year, we're also a few months away from the launch of our demo! Really excited for you all to meet our characters!

So without further ado... let's get into it! ✨

If you didn't already know, the game has partial voice acting! Lumi has spent December implementing those voice lines in. Alongside that, they have added a NEW customisation feature to the game. Not only can you customise how you look, but you can customise the place you're staying in. Pretty cool stuff

Besides those two things, Lumi has also been focused on fixing bugs throughout the game.

In the month of December, our art team has been focused on creating more backgrounds to complete the look for our game, with a whole four new ones to be implemented!

We also got a new background artist on the team, Marc! Marc is an extremely talented artist who’s focusing on backgrounds specifically to be used for our CGs. We’re very excited to have them on board!

We weren't really satisfied with our original script, so December was spent rewriting it! It still requires a bit of proofreading, but it's all mostly set in stone!

We've also started making our pitch deck in hopes of speaking with a couple publishers about our game!

In terms of social media, a lot has happened this month! We opened our official, Lavendeer Studios discord server and reached nearly 200 members! Not to mention our server being boosted up to level 3, giving us a custom discord link! Huge thanks to our boosters~

Since we've opened our discord server, we've also received a ton of beautiful, amazingly well drawn pieces of fanart! Here's a couple of pieces we love:

We also revealed our last boy, Chris! With all of our characters finally revealed, we were able to showcase their relationship charts too. Taking a look at them really gives you an idea on who is cool with who and who'd hate being in the same room with another.

Speaking of releasing videos this month, we also released our demo game trailer! Go check it out on the Lavendeer Studios channel if you haven't already.

Our plans for next month include finalising and polishing the art and overall gameplay included in Threads of You, as we're hoping to release our game by February! Expect a lot more CGs and Backgrounds to be revealed!
