Update
Added 2020-06-02 20:39:12 +0000 UTCSo, my effort to get fluid simulation working in Maya was a big fat fail, so I guess I will save that until I transition over to Blender. So I've just been concentrating on animation for the time being. Got the diving board made and rigged for motion, and roughing out the animation of Klaus getting on there just before he starts to grow. Next he will walk to the end of the board and start to get big!

2020-06-02 22:59:04 +0000 UTCThat makes sense. I wish you luck with the transition! I've never had the patience to learn Blender myself, as the interface is way too different for me to get comfortable with.

2020-06-02 22:10:14 +0000 UTCNumber of reasons. It's simpler, does fur and fluid more easily, and has a better faster render engine. Plus it's free. Maya is like a F1 car when all I really need is a Miata.

2020-06-02 21:40:43 +0000 UTCI want to transition to Blender for all work, eventually. But that's a big leap...

2020-06-02 21:34:24 +0000 UTCWhen you say you're transition over to Blender, do you mean just to simulate the fluid effects, or are you planning on moving your entire workflow over?
