First time watch and it was a good watch. I don't like war movies because of the violence that follows as part of it. But this is part of the indian history which has been invaded, emperors ruled and then even colonization. SRK-Kareena had great chemistry in the movie. The songs of the movie are what I had already loved as they were the most popular thing about the movie.

2025-04-09 20:45:45 +0000 UTCI have not watched this movie, but don't think it does justice to the epics about King Ashoka's life and the sheer size and opulence of the Maurya empire. The TV series Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is a better portrayal, also the TV series Chandra Nandini, that is about the life of the first king of the Maurya empire (Ashoka's grandfather) is a wonderful show. I would recommend these, especially Chandra Nandini, if you find it with subs
