The chicken horror tale-tellers are played by Li'l Mell, from my old webcomic Li'l Mell, and her parents. For anyone who's interested, this marks the first and only time Mell's mother has ever appeared anywhere.

If there was, I don't remember it. But this is pretty much exactly how I had envisioned her. Dad is all hyper and panicked, and mom is all cool and scheming. And Mell is all of both of them. It's a wonderfully volatile combination.

Rats are a little bigger, but maybe that just means more meat to the harvest for a swarm of chickens though. If so, they welcome the possibility of rats, Mell’s Mom.
